In a few years everyone will realize that the gold standard is dead. With 700 quintillion dollars worth of gold in the asteroid belt waiting for Elon Musk's starships it is no longer a rare metal.

The only solution is a Star Trek economy created with Unconditional Basic Income to distribute the Fiat Currency interest earnings of each sovereign state from the nation's central bank to it's citizens.

This is in line with the Forest Charter of the Magna Carta which granted every man the right to take his subsistence from Crown land.

The nation has a Common Wealth that is not created by any individual but by the work of every citizen simply by existing, eating, clothing themselves etc. Everyone has a right to a Fair Share.

In addition, everyone has the right to enjoy their earnings but no right to inherit the fruits of another person's hard work. Ending inheritance will end OLIGARCHY and the elite noble families. The intention is to put all 19th or 20th century ideologies in the past so that we can all work together on life insurance policies.

SELF SUSTAINING COLONIES ON MARS, ON TITAN AND IN THE BELT

Agriculture began about 8000 years ago. This may not be the first time in our species 300,000 year existence that we have done this. We may discover previous colonies on Titan.

In any case we now have the knowledge to tunnel inside an asteroid, build self sustaining colonies inside that need no sunlight at all, and to add interstellar engines to the asteroid. These starships will travel for 100s of years to nearby solar systems with tools needed to get to the surface and build colonies and terraform the planet to some degree. The Spitsbergen seed vault will supply seeds and spores for this purpose
