I remember listening to the newscast on the car radio during a family vacation when I was 15. I could concentrate on the audio instead of being distracted by the video, and it struck me how scripted it seemed with an appropriate amount of tension (would they sink into moondust and disappear) to make it seem even more heroic when they landed safely and didn’t sink. By that point, all I could think of was Orson Wells and was convinced that I was “watching a movie”. My normie family was appalled to hear me say that.
