I quite agree. The Golden Rule has been the underlying strength of Western Civilization. We may not perfectly follow it, but I wouldn't want to live under Islam which does not have it. When I look at Orwellian China and how their people put up with all that nonsense, I also wouldn't want to live there either. So, there are values which I do agree we have to preserve, even if we outgrow some of our religions.
