Are lies evil?

He's the father of lies.

Lucifer is actually a man Satan inhabits,

a high ranking individual which Satan empowers to control vast numbers of people through deception and the sword of man.

Satan has inhabited many "Lucifers" throughout the ages.

Right now,

his last home is the Man of Sin,

the False Prophet.

Generally speaking anyhow.

I knew it was a lie since I had just newly turned six years old.

I knew it was my dying father acting as Santa,

even though I only saw his shoes while peering under a closed door.

I happily announced to my 3 younger siblings,

It's Daddy!

I believe it was my Lord and God who kept me from that lie.

>Without knowing evil, we can't know good.

He was referring to human enemies,

not the Liar.

And it's the opposite of what you state.

It is without knowing Good,

we would not know evil.

Without the Good,

we would not know to repent of the evil.

Glad it turned out fine with you, Anon.

That's not the case with everybody.

Lying to children,

and hoping it'll turn out ok,

is an arrogant attitude,

playing with souls God has entrusted to us.

At the time,

you had no idea it would turn out "ok".
