A crazy idea just jumped into my head.
Ya know how there is this idea that people make a deal with the Devil, sell their soul, and supposedly the Devil gives them special abilities, like being good at music or sports or acting or whatever. Well what if some people make a deal with the Devil that makes them super smart? Could that be a thing? They aren't smart enough to fool God, but they are smart enough to fool people.
