Another Freedom Fighter IN PRISON

“This is my friend Mariya Shmandiy !

She was arrested and accused of breaching her quarantine orders.

She appeared in the SA magistrates court yesterday and was charged with 4 charges and sentenced to 2 weeks in jail.

She was transported directly from court to Northfield women’s maximum-security prison.

Family and friends are beyond worried for her and her welfare.

Mariya has a clean record, is one of the kindest and generous people you’ll ever meet and wouldn’t hurt a fly.

She’s been a pillar of strength in the community helping many people, in particular nurses and business owners get educated regarding covid mandates.

I’ve been told that even if she serves her full sentence she will only be released on strict bail terms and is facing fines if up to $50k not to me think lawyer fees!

Who knew supposedly breaching ‘orders’ could have such harsh consequences.

We are working tirelessly to support her and get her out ASAP and we need your help!

Meet Italy’s newest crown prince of media

Agnelli heir John Elkann is an unlikely political power broker.

Say Italian media mogul and Silvio Berlusconi comes to mind.

John Elkann, who leads the storied Agnelli empire from Turin, is the new Italian crown prince of European media. But in ways small and large, he is the opposite of Berlusconi.

Silvio is a flashy partier who craves the eye of the camera, Elkann is discreet, shy even. One Italian billionaire’s media outlets are unashamedly vulgar, the other’s are highbrow and serious. Silvio’s from Milan, Elkann Turin. Where Silvio’s politics are forcefully asserted, no one seems able to recall a single strong political opinion voiced by Elkann.

The Agnellis are the closest thing Italy has to a royal family. The industrial empire began with the founding of Fiat by Giovanni Agnelli, a cavalry officer, at the end of the 19th century. By the end of the 1980s, at the peak of their influence, the Agnellis directly or indirectly controlled a quarter of the Italian stock exchange.

“Do not be fooled,” says Paolo Griseri, a journalist a La Repubblica, the Rome-based daily newspaper, who has been following Fiat and the Agnellis for more than 20 years. “Sometimes he plays with this impression but the man is not at all naive.”
