I like certain types of media. Even the Cabal hides the truth in some of the things that they create, like the Matrix.
Music is especially important. I pretty much listen to nothing but spiritually positive music now. Anything else just upsets me too much.
I think I told this story to someone else here, but here is a summary of what I'm talking about:
Part of the movie takes place in the far flung future where humanity has essentially destroyed itself on Earth, and humanity in other places have evolved so that they pretty much resemble humans, but aren't humans. One of them is played by Halley Barry (sp?).
When she visits Tom's small village (humans were annihilated so long ago that they're referred to as Old Uns and are somewhat revered), the people there regard her as one would an angel.
One of the villagers asks how her ship is able to glide over the water so easily and silently and she answers "Fusion Engines". Everyone around her starts nodding and repeating the phrase.
Tom Hank's character notes that nobody understands what she's talking about, but they act like they do.
Later on, he finds out, through Halley's character, that the "God"/Savior Figure the native humans worshiped was actually a revolutionary that died to send a message of love and the importance of life, no matter what form it took.
Sound familiar?
More than that, it's a movie that I think would really resonate with you. I honestly suggest it to anyone and everyone.
