India’s chief of defence staff confirmed dead in crash

General Bipin Rawat was killed in a helicopter crash in the south of the country, which claimed the lives of 12 other people and left one survivor.

Rawat, his wife, and others were on board an Indian Air Force Mi-17V5 helicopter, which crashed on Wednesday in the Coonoor municipality of Tamil Nadu state. After hours of rescue efforts, the military confirmed the death toll.

The identity of the sole survivor was revealed as Gp Capt Varun Singh SC, who serves at the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington. He is being treated at a military hospital.

Rawat served as the chairman of the chiefs of staff committee and continued as India’s first chief of defence staff, when the new office was established to replace the previous one in 2020. The four-star general previously served as chief of the army staff.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said he was “deeply anguished” by the death of General Rawat and the other victims of the crash. “His untimely death is an irreparable loss to our Armed Forces and the country,” he tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi likewise offered his condolences. The late general was “an outstanding soldier” and “a true patriot,” who did much good for improving India’s defenses, he said.

2 jabs not enough against Omicron – Pfizer

Two doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech jab might not be enough to protect people against the Covid-19 Omicron strain, the US pharma giant said, citing its own study and adding that one more booster shot could still do the trick.

The vaccine developed together by the American and German manufacturers appears to be 25 times less effective against the Omicron variant than it is against the original Covid-19 strain, the US company said on Wednesday in a press release, citing the results of its own “initial” study.

Sera from individuals who received two doses of the vaccine demonstrate “more than a 25-fold reduction in neutralization titers against the Omicron variant” compared to the original strain, the press release said. The company still believes that its jab is capable of providing some level of protection against “severe form of the disease” since most of the virus parts targeted by the vaccine-induced T-cells have not mutated in the Omicron strain.

People can still raise their protection level with a booster shot that would bring it back to normal, the company added. A booster shot “increases the antibody titers by 25-fold” and thus “provides a similar level of neutralizing antibodies to Omicron” as the two doses do against all previous Covid-19 strains, Pfizer said, citing some “additional studies” and “preliminary data.”

Maui, HI — Last month, disgraced Maui police officer, Brandon Saffeels, was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for arresting a woman and later demanding sexual favors in exchange for his beneficial testimony at her trial. During the course of Saffeels’ trial, other victims came forward and this cop’s sadistic ways were exposed.

According to court documents, Saffeels arrested a woman for DUI in 2019. Apparently, the sick wheels in his head started spinning after her arrest, so he contacted her after the fact and told her that if she allowed him to have his way with her, he would throw his testimony at her trial.

The woman, a single mother, was scared to go to police with the story as she feared they would cover it up. So, she took her case straight to the media. She had the officer’s text messages and even recorded his calls in which he told her to come to his home where he would carry out his “bad intentions.”

After this mother of three made her case public on Hawaii News Now, Saffeels was arrested on numerous charges. After his arrest, other victims came forward alleging that Saffeels made similar advances toward them, including one woman who was the victim of a crime.

A total of four of them are now suing MPD.

In November, Saffeels took a plea deal and his first victim took the stand at his sentencing hearing to let him know how she felt.

“Am I still scared? Very. Do I worry about retaliation still? Yes,” said the woman, adding that Saffeels going to jail gave her some solace.

“I do feel like I’ve gotten a little of my power back. I feel like I can breathe again,” she said after hearing he’d be carrying out his 30 month sentence in another state. “I just encourage everyone else out there going though something like this to take a stand. Be brave. You’re not alone.”

SIX JABS: BioNTech CEO Says Omicron Variant May Need Three More Vaccine Doses, Plus Initial Vaccine and Boosters

Ugur Sahin, the CEO of BioNTech, declared that a new vaccine designed to tackle the Omicron variant would need to be given in three doses, after taking the initial vaccine and booster shots.

Sahin spoke to the media during a press conference discussing the effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine against the new Omicron coronavirus variant. In a statement released on Wednesday, the pharmaceutical companies claimed that an initial laboratory study showed that a booster shot of the initial vaccine would give protection against the Omicron variant comparable to the initial COVID-19 strain after two doses.

“Our preliminary, first dataset indicate that a third dose could still offer a sufficient level of protection from disease of any severity caused by the Omicron variant,” Sahin said in a statement. “Broad vaccination and booster campaigns around the world could help us to better protect people everywhere and to get through the winter season.”

However, the statement revealed that BioNTech was working on an “adapted” vaccine for the Omicron variant. Speaking at the press conference, Sahin argued that it was “very clear” that for their Omicron vaccine, people should take three doses, rather than two.

One journalist asked Sahin as to whether people should take a booster shot now after having two doses of the initial vaccine, or whether they should wait for the Omicron specific vaccine, with Sahin saying it was “very clear” that they should take both, meaning that people could potentially have to take six shots in total.

“The data that we have clearly indicates the value of the third dose, and we should be really clear about that, that an Omicron vaccine, even if you start supply in March, would not be broadly available,” Sahin said. “We would start with the first 25, 50, maybe 75 million doses. But the best [way] to ensure better protection would be have to a booster shot.”

Congress Pushes $4.5 BILLION Aid for Ukraine, European Defense As Politicians Saber-Rattle over Russia.

As Americans suffer all time price highs amidst the greatest wealth transfer in history, the U.S. Congress has proposed sending $300 million to Ukraine’s military in the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The funding will go, in part, to the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative to support the nation’s armed forces.

A further $4 billion is billed to go to the European Defense Initiative, with a further $150 million for Baltic Security cooperation. Ukraine has welcomed the proposal, due to a perceived Russian military threat along their border.

Only half of the proposed funding will be subject to conditions surrounding Ukrainian defense reforms subject to NATO standards, civilian control of the military, and greater accountability in procurement. The U.S. Congress also wants to ensure that Ukraine receives “lethal assistance” such as anti-armor weapons, anti-aircraft weapons systems, and procurement of vessels for Ukraine’s Navy in order to “counter maritime aggression.”

The bill was designed to encourage allied nations to provide Ukraine with expedited defense articles.

At present, Ukraine’s foreign minister Dmytro Kuelba stated that he has “no information” about whether Russia plans to launch a military campaign against Ukraine. The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the nation does not want a war with Russia, but is ready for war should Russia attack.

Publicly, the bill has been received with skepticism as American families deal with the growing cost of goods as inflation surges globally.

Others have pointed out the irony of spending $300 million on defending Ukraine’s border against Russia while President Biden has refused to visit America’s southern border with Mexico in more than a decade, according to The Hill.

Earlier this year, the Biden regime failed to provide the Department of Homeland Security with the additional funding and support required to secure America’s own border. Human trafficking on the southern border has made billions of dollars for drug cartels, who have cultivated a surge of illegal immigrants into the country.

FDA Says It Now Needs 75 Years to Fully Release Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Data

The Food and Drug Administration is asking a judge to give it 75 years to produce data concerning the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine, up 20 years from a previous request.

The agency, known as the FDA, told the court it can work faster than its previously proposed 500-pages-per-month-rate. But it also said there are over 59,000 more pages than mentioned in an earlier filing.

That discovery, and a desire to make sure it can work on other Freedom of Information Act requests at the same time, prompted the fresh request to the judge to allow production of roughly 12,000 pages by Jan. 31, 2022, and 500 pages per month thereafter.

That timeline would take it until at least 2096, Aaron Siri, a lawyer working on the case, said in a blog post.

“If you find what you are reading difficult to believe—that is because it is dystopian for the government to give Pfizer billions, mandate Americans to take its product, prohibit Americans from suing for harms, but yet refuse to let Americans see the data underlying its licensure,” Siri said.

The case was brought on behalf of the Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency, which said the FDA was not complying with its request for data in a timely manner.

The group includes Dr. Carole Browner, a research professor at the University of California, Los Angeles’ David Geffen School of Medicine; Peter Doshi, an associate professor at the University of Maryland’s School of Pharmacy, and Dr. Harvey Risch, a professor of epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health.

The group says that the data should be made public quickly because the FDA spent just 108 days reviewing it before granting emergency use authorization to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

The matter is more urgent because millions of Americans are being mandated to take the shot or face repercussions, such as a loss of access to businesses and termination.

Psaki: Biden Will Veto Senate Effort to Block White House Vaccine Mandate

The Biden administration this week signaled it would veto a Senate-led effort to nullify a vaccine mandate for private businesses, even as several Democratic lawmakers suggested they would support the effort.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Tuesday that if the bill “comes to the President’s desk, he will veto it” even if Democratic senators vote in favor of the measure.

Psaki was asked by reporters about Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.) having vocally supported a Republican-led bill to scrap President Joe Biden’s mandate.

“We certainly hope the Senate—Congress—will stand up to the anti-vaccine and testing crowd, and we’re going to continue to work to implement these,” she said, apparently characterizing those who support the bill as “anti-vaccine.”

Manchin, in a recent statement, announced he does “not support any government vaccine mandate on private businesses” and said it would place an undue burden on private businesses. Tester, meanwhile, told reporters on Tuesday that he is “not crazy about mandates,” indicating he would support the measure.

Earlier this year, Biden, in announcing sweeping mandates, said that all private businesses with 100 or more workers would have to either get vaccinated or submit to regular COVID-19 testing, prompting concerns from Republicans and numerous businesses groups. Days after the rule was published last month, numerous lawsuits from GOP-led states, businesses, groups, and individuals were filed.

Allegra Stratton, the senior journalist-turned government spokesman, resigned on Wednesday evening amid a growing Westminster scandal revolving around a purported party that may have happened last year while London was otherwise in lockdown. The government denies the party happened but said if it had, it would have been illegal.

Footage emerged on Wednesday morning of a rehearsal press conference recorded at Downing Street with Stratton in December 2020 practicing answering questions — in this case being played by Downing Street aides to add realism in the practice — and being asked about a recent party for Downing Street staff.

Stratton joked about the event, saying in vaguely non-committal terms while laughing with colleagues: “What’s the answer? … Is cheese and wine alright? It was a business meeting.”

In an apparent warning to her colleagues joking with each other on a potentially sensitive topic, Stratton then said: “This is being recorded” before saying “this fictional party was a business meeting and it was not socially distanced”, before moving business on.

Whether the comments haven’t gone far to clear up whether a party really happened or not — as is widely claimed — given she called it fictional and a business meeting, the jovial attitude, and apparent disregard for the government’s own rules, have now, nearly a year on, become a growing scandal in Westminster and prompted Stratton to resign her government job.

Stratton is said to have made “profound” apologies for the remarks in a tearful statement outside her handsome Islington home, where she said her “leaked comments” had become a “distraction” in the “fight” against coronavirus. I will regret those remarks for the rest of my days and offer my profound apologies to all of you for them.

She continued: “I understand the anger and frustration that people feel. To all of you who lost loved ones, endured intolerable loneliness and struggled with your business – I am sorry and this afternoon I have offered my resignation to Prime Minister.”

It remains an open question whether Stratton’s prompt ousting will be enough to sate the Westminster media’s anger over the Christmas party scandal. If it emerges that members of parliament, government ministers, or senior civil servants attended the alleged festive gatherings — the BBC reports there are now three known Christmas parties that took place at Downing Street last year — more resignations could follow.

Doctors: UK Faces Up to 300,000 New Heart Condition Cases – Due to ‘Post-Pandemic Stress Disorder’

Senior doctors in London say Britain faces a time-bomb of up to 300,000 new patients with heart conditions – which they attribute to “post-pandemic stress disorder”.

“I’ve seen a big increase in thrombotic-related vascular conditions in my practice. Far younger patients are being admitted and requiring surgical and medical intervention than prior to the pandemic,” said senior vascular surgeon Tahir Hussain, who works at Northwick Park Hospital, a major National Health Service (NHS) general hospital managed by the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

“I believe many of these cases are a direct result of the increased stress and anxiety levels caused from the effects of PPSD,” he added, abbreviating “post-pandemic stress disorder” in the same way post-traumatic stress disorder is abbreviated.

“We also have evidence that some patients have died at home from conditions such as pulmonary embolism and myocardial infarction. I believe this is related to many people self-isolating at home with no contact with the outside world and dying without getting the help they needed,” he told the Evening Standard.

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, or CZI, which the Facebook CEO set up with his wife Priscilla Chan, hopes to 'observe, measure, and analyze any biological process throughout the human body - across spatial scales and in real time.'

The philanthropy, which has a mission of curing, preventing or managing all disease by the end of the century, said in its announcement that it will focus its science work on developing new research, institutes and technologies that can help its mission.

Jeff MacGregor, a CZI spokesperson, said $500million will be given to establish an institute at Harvard University that focuses on artificial intelligence.

The institute, which will get the funding over the next 15 years, will be named after Karen Kempner Zuckerberg, Zuckerberg's mother.

MacGregor said $600 to $900million will go towards a new biomedical imaging institute at CZI.

Another $1billion will be given to the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network, a new initiative that seeks to bring together scientific institutions to pursue 'grand scientific challenges.'

CIA Chief: No Evidence Iran Has Decided to Develop a Nuclear Weapon

The admission comes after the US and Iran resumed indirect negotiations to revive the nuclear deal

On Monday, CIA Director William Burns said the US does not have evidence that Iran has decided to weaponize its nuclear program.

The CIA “doesn’t see any evidence that Iran’s Supreme Leader [Ali Khamenei] has made a decision to move to weaponize,” Burns told The Wall Street Journal’s annual CEO Council, The Times of Israel reported.

Burns’ admission comes a week after the US and Iran resumed indirect negotiations in Vienna to revive the nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA. The latest round of talks concluded Friday and are expected to resume this Thursday.

Israeli officials have been claiming that Iran is only trying to buy time with the negotiations as it secretly develops a nuclear bomb. For decades now, Israel has been making similar warnings, but Iran has always insisted it does not want nuclear weapons and Israel is currently the only nuclear-armed state in the region.

Burns’ comments counter the Israeli claims and could be a sign that the US might be breaking from Israel on the issue. Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett demanded to Secretary of State Antony Blinken that the US must “immediately” halt negotiations with Iran.

Troops Booted for Refusing Vaccine Guaranteed at Least a General Discharge Under Defense Bill

Service members separated from the military for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine would have to receive an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions under a must-pass defense bill unveiled Tuesday.

That means those troops would mostly still be entitled to veterans benefits under the compromise version of the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA. The one exception is that someone with a general discharge under honorable conditions is not eligible for GI Bill benefits.

The measure, which is almost certain to become law, comes as thousands of service members remain unvaccinated even as the military branches reach deadlines to comply with the Pentagon vaccination mandate.

The House is scheduled to vote on the bill Tuesday night, followed later next week by the Senate.

The military branches have been hesitant to issue complete numbers of troops who have refused to take the shot, citing several reasons such as ever-changing figures and still-pending exemption requests.

But with the vaccination deadlines for the active-duty personnel in the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps passed, a sense of the scale of refusals has begun to emerge.

The Navy, which managed to fully vaccinate 96.3% of its roughly 340,000 sailors, said it received 2,531 requests for exemptions to the vaccination mandate on religious grounds. Meanwhile, the Marine Corps, which hit 92% of roughly 181,200 active-duty Marines with two shots by the same deadline, announced 2,441 requests for religious accommodation.

The Air Force, whose deadline was the earliest, has released data that shows 1,125 airmen out of about 326,000 are considered to have refused the vaccine, though the service also has 4,756 religious requests that are still in progress.

The exemptions are meant to accommodate service members who can show their religious beliefs preclude them from being vaccinated. To date, none of the three services has approved any religious waivers.

The Navy, in a memo from its head of manpower, personnel, training and education, had already said that the lowest discharge rating a vaccine-refusing sailor could receive "without extenuating circumstances" would be a general discharge under honorable conditions. Navy spokespeople have also said more guidance on discharges is expected in the coming days.

The Marines, meanwhile, have said in a message to the force that members who refuse the vaccine and don't have an administrative or medical exemption, religious accommodation or pending appeal "shall be processed for administrative separation."

Republicans in Congress have been pushing the Pentagon to suspend its vaccine mandate, arguing that discharging potentially thousands of service members would hamper the military's ability to defend the country.

But the Pentagon has defended the mandate, saying the greater threat to the military and country is service members unable to fight because COVID-19 sickens or kills them.

Israel advances East Jerusalem project 25 years after promising Clinton to trash it

Neighborhood to be located on land then-PM moved to expropriate in 1995, sparking outcry; Security Council resolution was vetoed by US in exchange for Rabin backtrack

Municipal authorities on Wednesday advanced a housing plan for a Jewish neighborhood in East Jerusalem to be located in an area that was at the center of an international controversy over a quarter of a century ago.

The project, which was given early-stage approval by the Local Planning Committee in the Jerusalem municipality, will be located beyond the Green Line, nestled along the southwest side of the largely Palestinian neighborhood of Beit Safafa. But while Arab residents of the latter neighborhood have for decades pleaded with municipal leaders for additional housing, the new, distinctly separate neighborhood named Givat Shaked, with its several planned synagogues, appears to be designed for Jews.

Former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin also envisioned a Jewish neighborhood there and ordered authorities to expropriate 134 acres of the open land near Beit Safafa in April 1995 to set the process forward. But news of the plan sparked immediate international uproar as it was the first such expropriation in East Jerusalem in over a decade. It also came against the backdrop of the Oslo Accords, flying in the face of the momentum building for Israeli-Palestinian peace.

A resolution was introduced in the UN Security Council demanding that Israel put off the expropriation. The US, which also condemned the move by Rabin, nevertheless vetoed the resolution.

After initially standing his ground — albeit pledging that the controversial expropriation would be the government’s last — Rabin froze the plan days after the Security Council vote. In the 26-plus years since, no Jewish neighborhood was ever built on that land; nor were any other such expropriations carried out in East Jerusalem.

"It’s a loaded question," he said at a news conference following a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, when asked by reporters if Russia was going to invade Ukraine.

"Russia is conducting a peaceful policy but it has the right to ensure its security, as I mentioned, in the medium and longer term," he went on to say. "We are discussing it with our partners, all of our partners, including the person I spoke with yesterday, the President of the United States of America, Mr. Biden."

Putin and Joe Biden held a video call that lasted two hours on December 7. The talks focused on the situation around Ukraine, while the leaders also discussed bilateral relations, cybersecurity and the Iranian nuclear deal.

Israel hits highest number of COVID cases in weeks

So far, only 21 individuals in Israel have been found infected with the new Omicron variant.

Israel registered the highest number of COVID cases in a month on Wednesday, a day after all preschoolers and students in grades one through six were required to present a negative coronavirus test to return to school after the Hanukkah break.

There were 786 new virus carriers identified on Tuesday, the Health Ministry reported. A week earlier, they were 607.

Exactly 48% of the new cases are children ages five to 11.

Last month, the cohort became eligible for the vaccine, but the campaign has been going slowly, with less than 100,000 children out of over one million individuals in the age group having received at least one dose as of Wednesday morning.

A new survey released by the Israel Democracy Institute showed that only 46% of Israelis ages 25-34, and 47% of those ages 35-44 – the groups most likely to have children from ages five to 11 – support vaccinating children, compared to 63% of individuals ages 55-64 and 73% of those over 65.

A federal criminal complaint was signed on September 9, 2021, and unsealed on September 10, 2021, that charged Jonathan Newell with sexual exploitation of a minor to produce child pornography. Following Newell’s suicide on September 10, 2021, the investigation continued. Investigators have determined that there were no other individuals involved in the alleged exploitation and that Newell did not distribute any of the images.

Melbourne Woman Sets Herself On Fire Inside Car With Sign: “NO ONE CARES, MANDATES ARE KILLING US”

A woman in Cherry Street, Werribee – a suburb in Victoria Australia – has set herself on fire due to the draconian mandates that is forcing Victorians to get a Covid jab or be locked out of Dictator Dan Andrews’ “vaccinated economy.”

The unknown woman parked her car and blocked off a road in Cherry street and had four cans of petrol which she poured on herself

The woman placed a sign on her car saying “NO ONE CARES, MANDATES ARE KILLING US”. Police attended to find she had 4 cans of petrol in the car. Officers tried to talk with her but she ultimately ended up setting herself on fire after telling police she had nothing left.

It’s unclear what condition the woman is in at this stage as this is a developing story and the media seem to be completely ignoring this. So if you can please share this around as much as possible.
