Makes perfect sense if he's acting and he knows he's compromised (willfully or not). State your allegiances and once the hammer comes down, it'll be a massive blow to the left. The left loves Comey and Mueller ( or really anyone against Trump), they'll be completely crushed once they go down and Mueller's investigation comes up zero.
