Heh.
Evergrande's business model was "Build a blank city, and ask for a loan to build another city". Those cities are still mostly empty, so there was no ROI, but the banks continued loaning them "money" anyway. A lot of that money loaned was used to keep building empty cities, borrowing against those even more, and using other profits to expand into the west. All the property they own WW is going to be left waiting for someone to scoop it all up, effectively ending China's strategy of buying land up all over the West. Think that this and the shipping halt happening at the same time weren't engineered?
2021 is a gigantic "FUCK YOU" to China.
>With the added bonus of not having GEOTUS taking the blame (or credit, depending on your view).
Can't blame a shadow president.
;-)
Gee, I wonder if Blackrock could be found as having aided human traffickers. I also wonder if they'd have all their assets seized as a result of such a finding (if it were true, of course).
No, but the infestation needs to be removed. America was suffering a terminal cancer case. Not a total shutdown, but a surgical removal. Cities are going to suck for a bit, but it'll get better. They can't allow a total collapse, but people getting back into the habit of subsistence farming isn't a bad idea either. It'll bring some normalcy back to the ultra comfy existence the past 2 generations have taken for granted. Things need to get just scary enough to wake up those really deep sleepers.
The foundation isn't corrupt. The perception/interpretation of the core doc and what path that has led the nation down is the problem. “No matter how far you have gone on a wrong road, turn back.” Some places in this wonderful nation have gone further than others, and those places will have farther to walk back that others. There will be growing pains along the way, but truth is kicking ass on the daily, and more and more are waking each day.
Stay positive, be patient, and keep love in your heart.
