I think 2nd hand smoke harming others is true. My father smoked like a chimney - cigarettes, cigars, pipe. He would smoke in the car with the windows up (he didn't want the wind on his neck.) Growing up I got sick (nausea) every time we traveled. My parents called it "car sickness". I never got 'car sick" in anyone elses car. My mother never smoked a day in her life but died from lung cancer. Doctor's said her lungs looked like a smokers lungs.
