Ron DeSantis Announces 6 Proposals to Crack Down on Corporations, Left-Wing NGOs Aiding Illegal Immigration
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced six legislative proposals, with hopes to pass them into law through the legislature, that would drastically crackdown on corporations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who facilitate illegal immigration to the state.
During a press conference on Friday morning, DeSantis announced a series of legislative actions to reduce illegal immigration across the state. The six proposals would:

Pentagon Actively Discussing Requiring Covid Booster Shots For all Troops
The Pentagon is currently discussing mandating the Covid booster shot for all troops.
Dr. Fauci is recommending booster shots for all people eligible and the Pfizer CEO is already talking about a fourth shot.
A reporter on Friday asked Pentagon spokesman John Kirby if the Defense Department is changing their policy on booster shots given Fauci’s recommendation.
“There are active discussions here in the department at the policy level about booster shots and whether or not to make those mandatory — there have been no final decisions made about that,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters. “Should there be an addition to that in terms of the mandatory vaccine requirement, we will clearly communicate that and be transparent about it, but there are discussions in the department about the efficacy of booster mandatory policy as well.”

Jana Duggar charged with endangering the welfare of a child
Jana Duggar was charged with engendering the welfare of a child on Sept. 10, according to court docs obtained by Page Six.
The ex-reality star, 31, plead not guilty to the charge and her next court date is scheduled for Jan. 10, a court clerk for the city Elm Springs, Ark., told us Friday.
Per Arkansas law, the charge could be considered a “Class A or B misdemeanor” and could result in jail time, a fine or both for Duggar.
News of the “19 Kids and Counting” alum’s charge comes just one day after her brother, Josh Duggar, was found guilty on one count each of receiving and possessing child pornography.
The 33-year-old faces up to 20 years behind bars and fines of up to $250,000 for each count.
At the time of Josh’s April arrest, the Justice Department said that the former TLC star downloaded material that contained children under the age of 12.
Prior to this week’s ruling, Josh had been accused of sexually abusing five underage girls — including four of his sisters — in his teens.
“19 Kids and Counting” — the TLC reality series that launched the Duggar family, including parents Jim Bob and Michelle, and their 19 children into stardom — was canceled in 2015 after Josh’s first molestation scandal.
The network eventually rebranded the show, without Josh, as “Counting On.” However, it was canceled earlier this year due to the public souring on Duggar programming in general.
Jim Bob, 56, and Michelle, 55, released a statement on Thursday following Josh’s guilty verdict, telling fans that they are “praying” for their disgraced son.
“Today, God’s grace, through the love and prayers of so many, has sustained us,” they wrote.
Acknowledging Josh’s victims, the pair added, “Our hearts and prayers are with anyone who has ever been harmed through CSAM [child sexual abuse material].”

‘Not putting that in my body’: Pauline Hanson’s Covid vaccine spray
One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has insisted she’s “not anti-vaxxer” – while saying she refuses to get vaccinated against Covid.
Federal One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has told a crowd of “pro-choice” business owners she has no intention of getting vaccinated against Covid-19, saying she is “not putting that s*** in my body”.
Senator Hanson was a guest speaker at a “businesses for choice” event in Ipswich on Thursday night. The group behind the forum describes itself as wanting to “support like-minded patriotic and conservative representatives, irrespective of party affiliation”.
In her remarks, Ms Hanson said she would not listen to bureaucrats, the United Nations or the World Health Organisation “pushing their own agenda” to “take away my freedom”.
However she insisted she was “not an anti-vaxxer”.
The vast majority of Australians have chosen to get vaccinated against Covid, with Ms Hanson’s own state Queensland passing its 80 per cent double-vaxxed threshold this week. At the national level, 93 per cent of Australians over the age of 16 have received at least one dose and 89 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Being vaccinated reduces your risk of catching Covid, and greatly reduces the threat of serious illness, hospitalisation and death. It also makes you less likely to transmit the virus to others.
Serious side effects from any of the Covid vaccines are extremely there.
“I’ll tell you honestly: I haven’t had the jab, I don’t intend to have the jab, I’m not putting that s*** in my body,” Ms Hanson said in footage obtained by Channel 9.
The crowd responded with applause.
“I’ve taken that stance and that is my choice,” she continued.
“I’m not an anti-vaxxer, but I am very careful what I put into my body. I felt that I’ve kept pretty good health all my life, and I intend to keep it that way.
“I don’t intend to listen to bureaucrats or politicians, or UN or WHO pushing their own agenda and take away my freedoms, my rights, my choices when that’s why I’m fighting this issue and so should you.”
Ms Hanson last month attempted to introduce a private members bill seeking to ban mandatory vaccinations and overturn state and territory leaders’ requirements for full vaccination to be required in some settings.
“You might not agree with the choices that people make, but that doesn’t mean the right to choose should be stolen from them,” she argued at the time.
“What is our country coming to?”
She said vaccine mandates were “a pandemic of discrimination”.
The bill, which was eventually voted against by an overwhelming majority, was seconded by Nationals senator Matt Canavan and supported by Liberal Gerard Rennick. Mr Rennick and his colleague Alex Antic crossed the floor to support the bill.
“Politicians should not be holding people to ransom,” Mr Rennick said.
Ms Hanson’s bill was the catalyst for a furious blow-up from fellow crossbencher Jacqui Lambie, who urged Australians opposed to mandates to cop the consequences of their own decisions.
“If you get behind the wheel of a car and drive twice the speed limit, you are putting other people’s lives at risk. You don’t have the right to do that,” Ms Lambie argued.
“You are not being discriminated against. If you choose to do something that puts other people’s lives at risk, you will be held accountable for that.
“People who don’t get the vaccine have a choice. We all get a choice. You’re making a choice that means you’re more likely to get Covid and spread it. That is your choice, that is your right.
“Having the freedom to choose isn’t the same as having the freedom to avoid the consequences of that choice. You have freedom to make a choice, but if you make a choice, those choices have consequences.
“Being held accountable for your own actions isn’t called discrimination, it’s called being – you wouldn’t believe it – a goddamn bloody adult.”

Canadian COVID Hotel Detainee Fights With Healthcare Workers For Release After Days Of Forced Quarantine
Across the northern border, Canadians are being forced into COVID quarantine hotels and effectively incarcerated by the government when they arrive in Canada from overseas flights.
CBC News reported:
At the start of the year — in addition to the already required 14-day quarantine period — the government introduced new rules for incoming travellers meant to limit the spread of COVID-19 and its variants.
Travellers crossing by both land and air were required to show a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours before their scheduled flights to Canada.

Air and land travellers were also required to undergo both on-arrival and post-arrival COVID-19 tests. In addition, incoming air travellers were required to pre-book and pre-pay for a three-day stay at a government-authorized hotel, where they were to remain in quarantine while waiting for their on-arrival test results.
Footage from inside a Canadian quarantine hotel shows healthcare workers dressed in full medical gowns, face masks, face shields and blue gloves, confronting a man demanding to be released from the hotel.
“I don’t know when my flight is to get out of here. I’ve never committed a Goddamn crime,” the detainee bewails.
“Sir, you’re not a criminal, that’s not it,” a worker replies.
“Then what the hell is going on here? I took three tests. I have a right to know when my test [results are] coming,” the detainee fires back. “I get shit food. Then I have no chance to say what I want. I got an ugly sandwich this afternoon that just makes me puke.”
“Come on, you’re treating me crappy,” he continues. “You’re treating us all very poorly.”

Biden keeping 2,500 troops in Iraq
About 2,500 U.S. troops still remain in Iraq and there’s no plan to bring them home, the Pentagon confirmed on Thursday.
Department of Defense Press Secretary John Kirby told reporters “there’s no significant posture change in Iraq right now. The numbers are still where it — where they were, which is about 2,500.”
The number of troops deployed in the Middle East has come under question as combat operations there are considered officially ceased, and a full withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan wrapped up at the end of August. The Biden administration had announced the U.S. combat mission in Iraq would officially end on December 31.
The end of the combat mission doesn’t mean U.S. troops are coming home, however.
Kirby said the U.S. troops remain in Iraq on an invitation basis, though the two nations agreed U.S. troops would “transition the mission to advise, train and assist by the end of this year.” He noted, however, that the physical posture would not change – only the mission would.
Marine Gen. Frank McKenzie, commander of U.S. Central Command overseeing operations in the Middle East, also told The Associated Press on Thursday that the 2,500 U.S. troops aren’t leaving Iraq for the foreseeable future, despite continued violent attacks from Iran-backed Iraqi militias on bases hosting U.S. troops.
“They actually want all U.S. forces to leave, and all U.S. forces are not going to leave,” McKenzie said, adding that U.S. troops’ continued presence “may provoke a response as we get later into the end of the month.”
McKenzie said as long as the Iraqi government wants U.S. troops there and both nations agree, the troops will remain. He added that unneeded troops have already been condensed down, making fewer potential targets for the militia attacks, but expects the militias to continue to be a threat.
The Iran-backed Iraqi militias are believed to be behind an attempted assassination on Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi in November, as well as a number of drone and missile attacks in Syria, where about 900 U.S. troops still remain to support Syrian rebel forces against ISIS terrorists.
“Iran still pursues a vision of ejecting us,” McKenzie said. “And they see the principal battleground for that as being in Iraq. And I believe they are under the view that they can increase friction in Iraq to where we will leave.”
As many as 80,000 U.S. troops were postured in the Middle East last year. With the conclusion of the War in Afghanistan, the U.S. is now turning its attention to adversaries China and Russia, which pose the top threats and pacing challenges for the U.S.

US Sets 1-Week Deadline To See If Iran Talks Advance As Israel Pushes Military Option: Report
Earlier in the week Reuters revealed that top US and Israeli officials were in talks to initiate joint military training exercises that focus on preparations to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities. Defense Minister Benny Gantz has been in Washington this week meeting with Secretary Blinken and others to consider "possible modes of action to ensure the cessation of (Iran's) attempt to enter the nuclear sphere and broaden its activity in the region," according to a prior public statement.
The White House confirmed Thursday that "other options" are on the table should JCPOA nuclear talks in Vienna fail: "The president has asked his team to be prepared in the event that diplomacy fails and we must turn to other options," White House Secretary Jen Psaki said. "We will have no choice but to take additional measures."
In its prior exclusive, Reuters described further that "The scheduled US talks with visiting Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz follow an Oct. 25 briefing by Pentagon leaders to White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan on the full set of military options available to ensure that Iran would not be able to produce a nuclear weapon, the official said on Wednesday, speaking on condition of anonymity."
On Friday, local Israeli media sources are reporting that the US and Israeli administrations have landed on a one week timetable to see if Vienna negotiations make any progress, after Iran nuclear talks resumed on Thursday. Last week US negotiators said they are still not fully convinced Tehran is "serious" about the talks. Gantz has also reportedly been trying to persuade Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for both countries to pursue "joint military readiness".
The latest Times of Israel reporting on the "military option" includes the following:
Israel is ramping up preparations for a military option that would prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon in case the nuclear talks between Tehran and world powers lead to the signing of a “bad deal.” These preparations include an expanded target bank, increased training and the purchase of advanced equipment.

Deafening Silence: Top Democrats Hush as Left-Wing Kellogg’s Company Set to Replace American Union Workers
House and Senate Democrats who have claimed to be champions for labor unions are silent as the Kellogg Company, whose largest shareholder is the left-wing W.K. Kellogg Foundation, is set to replace about 1,400 American union workers who have been on strike since October.
American union workers employed at Kellogg’s have been striking as of October 5, protesting what they say are grueling working conditions at plants in Battle Creek, Michigan; Omaha, Nebraska; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and Memphis, Tennessee.
The workers and their union, the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers, and Grain Millers’ International Union (BCTGM), allege that Kellogg’s executives have threatened to move manufacturing to Mexico in an effort to bust up their striking.
In October, a BCTGM union representative said Kellogg’s “continues to threaten to send additional jobs to Mexico if workers do not accept outrageous proposals that take away protections that workers have had for decades.”
Weeks after beginning their strike, support poured in from some Senate Democrats who wrote to Kellogg’s CEO Steve Cahillane that threats to send workers’ jobs to Mexico are “absolutely outrageous” and “un-American and unacceptable” while negotiating a labor contract.
This week, BCTGM President Anthony Shelton announced that striking union workers voted down signing the latest labor contract offered by Kellogg’s which would have limited the number of workers at plants who can move up from the company’s lower-wage level to its higher, more legacy wage level.
“The members have spoken. The strike continues,” Shelton said in a statement. “The BCTGM is grateful for the outpouring of fraternal support we received from across the labor movement for our striking members at Kellogg’s. Solidarity is critical to this fight.”
Now, Kellogg’s executives say they plan to permanently replace striking union workers. Some of those new hires could eventually be foreign visa workers as the company may struggle to find replacements in a tight labor market where 11 million jobs remained open in October.
“While certainly not the result we had hoped for, we must take the necessary steps to ensure business continuity,” President of Kellogg North America Chris Hood said in a statement.
Hundreds of House and Senate Democrats, along with two House Republicans, signed on as sponsors and cosponsors to the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act — suggesting this is as evidence that they stand with American union workers against abusive business practices.
The legislation, reintroduced in February, would boost union membership around the United States and strengthen the power that private-sector unions have in negotiations with employers like Kellogg’s.

Andrews Government makes pandemic declaration, first since broad new powers became law
Premier Daniel Andrews has used his controversial pandemic powers for the first time since they became law, extending the state of emergency until January.
Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews has made his first pandemic declaration since the controversial powers were passed.
The Andrews Government’s controversial pandemic powers officially became law on Tuesday after extended negotiations and mass public and political outrage.
The new laws were introduced to replace the existing emergency parameters which were set to expire on December 15 – marking 640 days since it was first declared on March 16 last year.
The government has moved quickly to make a formal pandemic declaration under the new framework to continue existing measures beyond the expiry date on Wednesday.

Biden's personnel chief leaves powerful WH post
President Joe Biden adviser and head of personnel at the White House, Cathy Russell, is leaving her post within the administration after being named the new executive director of UNICEF.
Russell was named as the incoming UNICEF executive director on Friday, with outgoing director Henrietta Fore hailing her successor's “knowledge, experience, and deep care for children and women.”
Biden described the White House’s loss as “UNICEF’s gain,” and praised Russell’s management of the White House Office of Presidential Personnel for “[breaking] records in both speed and diversity of hiring” since his inauguration earlier this year.
Russell’s position in the White House was a powerful one, with the office in charge of selecting and vetting political appointees for around 4,000 positions. Since Biden became president, Russell’s office has boasted of putting “diversity” at the heart of its operations, in keeping with Biden’s pledge to build an administration that “looks like America.”
Prior to her White House appointment, Russell served in the State Department under Barack Obama, including as an ambassador for women’s issues. She also worked on Biden’s ill-fated 1988 presidential campaign, and as deputy attorney general to Janet Reno during the Clinton administration.
While both Biden and UNICEF touted Russell’s experience advocating for women’s rights around the world, some of her initiatives didn't quite pan out. Whilst serving as Obama’s ambassador-at-large for women’s issues – a post created by the then-president – she secured $7 million in funding to “empower adolescent girls” in Afghanistan and “change perceptions” in the country on child marriages. According to UNICEF, however, rates of child marriage increased during the final years of American occupation, regardless of Russell’s efforts.
Russell will be replaced in the White House by Gautam Raghavan, a long-time “civil rights and social justice” activist and currently the deputy director in the Personnel Office.

Massive explosions rock Palestinian refugee camp
A large fire, followed by multiple explosions, has erupted at a Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon. The incident was reportedly centered at a weaponry stockpile allegedly belonging to the Hamas militant group.
The fire erupted at the Burj el-Shemali camp located just outside the southern Lebanese city of Tyre late on Friday. The camp is the second-largest settlement of 12 Palestinian refugee camps scattered across the country.
Unverified footage from the scene circulating online shows a building engulfed in flames, with a subsequent explosion sending a massive mushroom-shaped plume of smoke into the air. The shockwave apparently broke windows in buildings nearby as well.
The fire prompted an evacuation of nearby buildings, with multiple emergency crew deployed to battle the flames.
The building affected was reportedly housing a weaponry depot, run by Hamas. Several people were killed and injured as a result of the incident, the state-funded National News Agency reported, without giving an exact tally.

Polk Sheriff's Office: 4 men arrested, accused of possessing child porn; one victim rescued
The Polk County Sheriff's Office arrested four suspects on charges of possessing child pornography and rescued a victim that one of the suspects sexually battered, Sheriff Grady Judd said Friday.
The undercover investigation started after the Sheriff's Office got tips from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children about suspects living in Polk County who were possibly downloading and transmitting the images and videos.
Detectives served search warrants at the houses of Melvin Lagos Jr., 18, of Davenport; Christian Pillot-Osorio, 29, of Lakeland; Billy "Jordan" Rose, 23, of Winter Haven; and Ian Gadd, 23, of Lakeland, who faces additional charges of sexually abusing a young child and recording it.
"These suspects – who are the worst of the worst – used common social media apps, like Instagram, Snapchat, and Kik, to transmit and download child pornography. This is clear proof that these horrific images are easier than ever to find and share," Judd said in a prepared statement for a release. "Each time an image is downloaded or shared, the victim in that image is re-victimized."
At a news conference Friday afternoon, Judd said the agency normally arrests 10 to 12 suspects in undercover investigations, but he requested that they focus on less suspected predators at a time.
Judd said sheriff's officials found that Gadd is an active predator when they began issuing search warrants to the suspects.
Gadd was charged with two counts of transmission of child pornography and 89 counts of enhanced possession of child pornography after an on-scene preview of his devices, during which detectives said they found images and videos of children as young as 3-years-old being sexually battered.
