I have never heard of coffee making anyone sick. I've heard of getting the headache from not drinking it. It is addictive, though. Back in the old days, anon's grandparents would dip dry coffee grounds when traveling because they didn't want to stop long enough to build a fire to make coffee but they had the caffeine headache.
