have to share this with you

tonight anon was at a social gathering with several friends, not good friends, just friends

we had two liberals and two conservatives (/moderates that lean conservative)

who had an hours long discussion about really the state of the world

and although there was much disagreement

there was also much agreement

these are my take aways from listening to this conversation:

DEMOCRAT (in California, in LA):

• is FED UP with the system and understands:

• The elites own everything

• Don't believe we should defund the police

• The system is broken

• This person actually said "WHY DON'T WE FIX THINGS HERE IN AMERICA FIRST BEFORE TRYING TO POLICE THE REST OF THE WORLD?" (ie. America FIRST - what we have been saying this whole time)

• Wants no more wars

• Realizes our tax dollars are being wasted and perhaps used for nefarious purposes

• Acknowledged that corruption is an issue on both sides of the aisle

• Hates Biden, but was better than Trump

• Realizes the media and social media are corrupt

• Thinks if you read the CIA reading room documents you are a conspiracy theorist

• Could not tell anyone what should replace capitalism, could only say capitalism is evil

• Thinks incentives to do good work and move up in the world are good for humans

-MODERATE:

• A moderate leaning conservative still hates Trump!

• Believes there are too many people on this planet

• Believes climate change is real

• Believes Kyle shouldn't have taken up arms to defend his city (but also corrected the two libs when they tried to say Kyle "took a gun across state lines", which I appreciated)

• Defended the police

• Defended capitalism as survival of the fittest/nature

there was so much more -

it was amazing to watch

we are not as divided as [they] want us to believe
