An investigation has found an environmental group guilty of breaching the Canada Elections Act for its advertisements during the 2019 federal election.

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, Canadians for Clean Prosperity of Toronto was found to have broken the law but did not receive a fine for their violation.

“(Advertisements) contained messages that opposed the Conservative Party and the Bloc Québécois or the leaders of these registered parties, including by naming them,” wrote Commissioner of Elections Yves Côté in his decision. Continue…

While I agree entirely with Jyoti’s sentiment about Quebec's Bill 21, there are some glaring issues here that must be pointed out.

In Quebec, a law known as Bill 21 prohibits some public servants, including teachers and other government employees in positions of authority, from wearing religious symbols while at work. Per the law, religious symbols could include everything from a turban or a hijab to a visible crucifix. It is a law that has garnered criticism from religious freedoms and charter rights advocates across Canada.

This law has already reared its ugly head a few times — you may recall crucifixes being removed from several public buildings shortly after the bill was passed. Now in a troubling development, a Quebec teacher has been removed from her classroom because her hijab violates the law of the land for public employees.

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown committed $100,000 of municipal funding to the legal action against the law that is being launched by the National Council of Canadian Muslims, and called for other municipalities to do the same.

Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek agreed to match the $100,000 contribution with Calgary taxpayer funds, and added the following statement: "What Quebec is doing is absolutely unconscionable. We are issuing a challenge to other municipalities in this country, asking them to contribute towards the legal challenge to get rid of Bill 21".

While I agree entirely with Jyoti’s sentiment, there are some glaring issues here that must be pointed out.

Jyoti Gondek really needs to pick a lane. City of Calgary employees, firefighters, police officers and many more are losing their jobs because the city if often failing to acknowledge their deeply-held religious beliefs when it comes to granting religious vaccine exemptions. Jyoti is every bit as bad as Quebec in violating people’s rights and religious freedoms — in fact, she might be worse, because she is also engaging in medical coercion while she is at it. A Cape Coral man has been banned from flying by United Airlines after using a red thong as a mask.

Passenger Adam Jenne was flying from Fort Lauderdale to Washington D.C. but was escorted off of his flight before it took off. He was officially asked to leave the flight for "failing to comply with the federal mask mandate".

“If you are unvaccinated or have members of your family who are unvaccinated, we cannot have personal gatherings in those settings right now,” provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said at a press conference on Dec. 17.

The move is part of the latest revision to public health orders to “address rising COVID-19 case counts and keep people safe,” according to the province.

Other new COVID-19 measures include limiting indoor personal gatherings to the household plus 10 guests, or one other household, provided that all who attend are aged 12 and above and are fully vaccinated.

This also applies to personal gatherings at resorts and rental properties.

From October 2-4, 2020, the American Institute for Economic Research hosted a small conference for scientists to discuss the Covid-19 lockdowns. Just four days later, Dr. Francis Collins, the retiring Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), would call the three of the scientists in attendance “fringe epidemiologists,” in a directive he sent to Anthony Fauci and other senior staff of his agency.

They were “fringe epidemiologists” because they had the temerity to ask whether the lockdowns of 2020 were effective. Those three, Martin Kulldorff of Harvard, Sunetra Gupta of Oxford, and Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford were simply doing what any good scientist would do: They were following the evidence.

They wrote the Great Barrington Declaration [GBD] as they parted company at AIER, posting it for all to see.

So why was Dr. Collins so intent on impugning these three scientists? It’s hard to know exactly, mostly because any scientist worth his salt should have been happy to see further research being done. That is, after all, how ignorance is replaced by knowledge. But Collins was clearly in no mood to replace his own possible ignorance with any kind of knowledge. He was pretty sure he knew all he had to know; and this is one of the most dangerous positions a scientist can take.

While Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland was celebrating a reduction of the budget deficit during a fiscal update, frustrated members of the Commons finance committee tried and failed to get clarity on a number of fiscal questions posed to senior finance bureaucrats. Billions in new pandemic response costs were unexplained, while finance officers refused to answer questions about the ballooning costs.

Bill C-2, An Act to Provide Further Support in Response to Covid-19, was the spending bill in question. It was passed in the House of Commons at 4:16 p.m. on Dec. 16, under the assumption that the policy would cost $7.4 billion. At 5:10 p.m., Freeland admitted that the bill will actually cost $11.9 billion. That’s a 61 percent increase on estimates over the course of less than an hour. Continue…

Former Federal Scientist in Canada Charged With Fraud for Alleged Links to Chinese University

A former federal scientist with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has been charged with fraud and breach of trust for allegedly covertly working for a Chinese university while employed by the Canadian government.

The RCMP issued a statement on Dec. 10 saying Yantai Gan, 65, was arrested on Nov. 9, 2019, at AAFC’s facility in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, following an investigation led by the force’s National Security Enforcement Section.

The statement said Gan, a crop scientist, was charged with breach of trust by a public officer, fraud of over $5,000, and possession of proceeds from a crime over $5,000.

The RCMP only now made Gan’s arrest public, ahead of his appearance at a Swift Current court on Dec. 13. No further details of Gan’s offences were provided as the case is before the courts. Continue…

To the majority of politically correct conformists of Western Europe, North America and beyond, Jesus Christ is a dangerous subverter of the status quo. This, in spite of the fact that they claim to be adherents of the values he proclaimed.

Courageously Confronting the Enemies of Humanity. Crossing the Rubicon Together

When Julius Caesar, after some hesitation, crossed the small river Rubicon in 49 B.C., he took a decisive and irreversible step against his opponents in Rome. “Thither go,” he is said to have exclaimed, “where the sign of the gods and the wrong of the enemy calls. The die is cast.” (1) “The sign of the gods” was a figure that appeared to him and crossed the river in front of him to the sound of trumpets.

Should not those fellow citizens whose minds are free and who have cast off all timidity follow Caesar’s courageous example and cross the Rubicon together?

That is, courageously confront the enemies of humanity and stand up to them, because through long hesitation the evils grow stronger. Every further criminal attack on humanity by the diabolical “elite” must be thwarted with civil disobedience and further non-violent activities. It must not be allowed that a small insane clique of power-obsessed super-rich terrorises as well as tries to subjugate the whole of humanity and is already planning the next global economic and social crisis – while we citizens hesitate to put a stop to them once and for all.
