There's nobody to replace all these major players in this country. Their personas were created, pumped up, kept alive by the media. It takes years to develop these public faces and the media has not been effectively cultivating any new ones. Political reality in this country looks generationally defined and locked. There have been attempts to promote the spawn of some major players, but it hasn't worked. Maybe this generational cabal has jealously taken out their replacements, or it could also be because the insiders know something is coming down the pike, so they're not bothering to groom replacements.

The dumbing down and distracting of the population has worked, people can recognize the faces of sports figure and entertainers, a direct result of media influence, but the faces of new political leaders have no buzz. If the lack of new "leadership" is a result of a bunch of self-absorbed narcissists unable to see beyond themselves, this might be an opportunity to inject some reality. But we should also maintain internal and perimeter checks ourselves in case of ayes, FF, and cataclysmic events that we have been kept out of the loop about.

It looks like an intentional plan to kill major sports, maybe to get a jump on awareness of CTE doing it all in anyway. It makes me wonder how long a society will last that glorifies men getting brain damaged and then having them leading the country.
