it really is not that bad of a movie. The comic of course is better. As with all the alan moore adapted films. From Hell is one of the better ones Watchmen is not that bad either.
LIke all movies there are always little drops of truth in all of them for those with eyes to see. From Hell which is was one of my favorite comics, has some interesting Masonic stuff. Watchmen is just good especially for as complex as the story was for a movie. Stargate seems to be more and more important as time goes on as well.

The Rocketeer is my suggestion for you. I know it is a disney film they bought the rights from Dave Stevens. But it is a great fun old fashioned adventure movie. Pretty comic accurate. Came out mid 90's
