White House CENSORED Taiwan’s Video Feed During Biden’s ‘Democracy’ Summit for Showing Map That Displayed Taiwan as a Different Color Than China

Last week, the White House reportedly cut the live video feed of Taiwan’s digital minister during Biden’s Summit for Democracy after the official had displayed a map that depicted Taiwan in a different color than China.

The differentiation of Taiwan as its own independent country would enrage the genocidal dictator of China, so naturally, Biden’s administration scrambled to quickly censor the speaker in order to appease their Communist overlords.

Sorry, Taiwan – under Biden, democracy goes to the highest bidder.

According to Reuters, who spoke with multiple “sources familiar with the matter,” US officials “caused consternation” and panic when Taiwanese Digital Minister Audrey Tang showed the image during her slide show presentation, which caused them to cut the video feed and replace it with an audio-only stream for the rest of the summit.

When the moderator returned to Tang a few minutes after showing the map, the video stream was replaced with a screenshot captioned: “Minister Audrey Tang Taiwan.” An onscreen disclaimer also declared: “Any opinions expressed by individuals on this panel are those of the individual, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States government.”

Apparently, depicting Taiwan as its own nation (it is) would be contradictory to Biden’s “one-China” policy, which he claims is a policy that avoids taking a position on Taiwan’s independence, but in reality, is just Communist China’s longstanding, authoritarian dictate that Biden has shamelessly sold-out to.

“The sources, who did not want to be identified due to the sensitivity of the matter, said the video feed showing Tang was cut during a panel discussion and replaced with audio only – at the behest of the White House.

The White House was concerned that differentiating Taiwan and China on a map in a U.S.-hosted conference – to which Taiwan had been invited in a show of support at a time when it is under intense pressure from Beijing – could be seen as being at odds with Washington’s ‘one-China’ policy, which avoids taking a position as to whether Taiwan is part of China, the sources said.

A second source directly involved in the summit said the video booth operator acted on White House instructions. ‘It was clearly policy concerns,’ the source said, adding: ‘This was completely an internal overreaction.’

The sources saw the move during a panel on “countering digital authoritarianism” as at odds with the summit’s mission of bolstering democracy in the face of challenges from China and others. They also said it could signal that the administration’s support for Taiwan was not as “rock solid” as it has repeatedly stated.

‘They choked,’ the source said of the White House reaction.”

Biden’s State Department claimed that “confusion” over screen sharing was to blame for Taiwan’s video feed being cut, calling it an “honest mistake,” even though several officials confirmed otherwise and their actions during the event seem to contradict their claims.

Taiwanese officials were also upset about the feed being censored, according to Reuters.

Despite all of this, a spokesperson for the National Security Council denies the White House had any involvement and claims that the reports are “inaccurate.”

An NSC spokesperson told Reuters:

“At no time did the White House direct that Minister Tang’s video feed be cut,” the spokesman said in an email, also blaming it on confusion over screen-sharing and adding that the full video could be viewed on the summit web page.”

Tang’s video feed is also censored in the full version on the summit webpage.

Georgia Asst AG Claims that SOS Raffensperger Is Not Responsible for Errors Exposed in Fulton County (Doesn’t Challenge Multiple Errors Identified)

Ten days ago The Gateway Pundit reported that Georgia Governor Kemp agreed with a report from a Georgia citizen where he had identified 36 issues in Fulton County’s 2020 Election results posted on the Georgia Secretary of State’s (SOS’s) website.

Unable to dispute the facts surrounding the errors posted on the SOS’s website for the Fulton County Risk Limiting Audit (RLA) Report (hand audit noted in article above), Raffensperger and team resorted to intimidation tactics.

As you may recall Joseph Rossi and Attorney Jack James, presented 36 errors posted on the SOS’s website for the Fulton RLA report to Governor Kemp’s team. Subsequently, the Governor’s team, after an extensive investigation of their own, verified the data presented as “factual,” and recently called upon the State Elections Board (SEB) to open an investigation “swiftly,” into this grave matter.

We spoke with Mr. Rossi, and during our interview, he told us that on Friday, December 3rd, [the same day we posted the article above at The Gateway Pundit] the Attorney General’s office called Attorney Jack James. The sole purpose of the call was to convince Mr. James (and also Mr. Rossi), that the SOS is not responsible for the errored data posted on his website. Mr. James, being an experienced litigator, failed to succumb to the pressure.

In a summary note of the call, Mr. James wrote, “The purpose of her call was apparently to convince me that the SOS has no responsibility for the errors exposed in Fulton County. I said Mr. Rossi and I believe the SOS has the ultimate responsibility; thus we disagree on the issue of responsibility.”

In addition, Mr. James called our attention to Code Section. OCGA 21-2-499(a) “…requires the SOS to notify a county if an error is found in the county’s certified returns and direct the county to correct the error and recertify the results.”

Money-laundering probe linked to former king dropped

Swiss prosecutors have dropped a money-laundering case linked to Spain’s ex-King Juan Carlos. Despite finding that his offshore fund got $100 million from Saudi Arabia, they failed to prove it was an “illegal commission” payment.

The high-profile corruption case collapsed on Monday, with prosecutor Yves Bertossa announcing the closure of the probe.

The investigators proved that a Panamanian foundation whose beneficial owner was Juan Carlos I had received a major donation from Saudi Arabia. However, the inquiry failed to establish any link between that donation and contracts awarded to Spanish companies for construction of a high-speed rail connection in Saudi Arabia three years later, the official revealed.

“The investigation has established that Juan Carlos I did, in fact, receive $100 million on the Lucum foundation account at Mirabaud & Cie SA in Geneva, from the Saudi finance ministry on August 8, 2008,” Bertossa said.

The case was originally launched back in 2018 in the wake of media reports claiming that the former Spanish monarch had allegedly received “illegal commissions” for overseas contracts, stashing his slush funds in Swiss and offshore bank accounts.

While no charges were brought against the former king himself, the case also concerned his associates, including his former lover, Corinna Zu Sayn-Wittgenstein. The king’s mistress was suspected of receiving additional payments of nearly $9 million from Kuwait and Bahrain into her accounts. All the charges against her and other individuals allegedly involved have now been dropped.

While Juan Carlos I – currently believed to be living in the United Arab Emirates – has not made any public statements on the case, Zu Sayn-Wittgenstein welcomed the closure of the probe. In a written statement on Monday, she claimed that some unspecified “principal wrongdoers” remained uninvestigated and “have been given time to conceal their activities” while the probe was ongoing.

“Today I have finally been cleared of wrongdoing of any kind in the three-year investigation conducted by the Swiss prosecutor,” Zu Sayn-Wittgenstein stated. "My innocence was evident at the outset and this episode has served to harm me further as part of the ongoing abuse campaign against me by certain Spanish interests.”

The only entity to face penalties as a result of the corruption scandal is, apparently, the Mirabaud bank, which has been fined 50,000 Swiss francs ($54,100) over its failure to properly report an account over suspicious financial activities. The bank accepted the penalty, welcoming the closure of the proceedings and stating that its alleged failure did not involve the account linked to the former king.

Facebook tech guru questions fight against misinformation

Attempts to turn social media into an exclusive club where only elites have a right to speak in the name of rooting out dangerous misinformation are fundamentally wrong, a senior Meta official said.

Andrew Bosworth, who leads technological research at Meta and is set to become the tech giant’s CTO next year, pushed back against critics who accuse social media like Facebook of harming society by failing to police speech on their platforms.

“If your democracy can’t tolerate the speech of people, I’m not sure what kind of democracy it is,” he said in an interview with ‘Axios on HBO’, which was previewed on Sunday. He was responding to a statement by host Ina Fried that some people think tools like Facebook should not exist at all because they are “fundamentally unsafe”.

Bosworth rejected the notion that the democratization of public speech brought by the advance of social media should be reversed due to the threat of misinformation.

I do believe in giving people more access to information and more access to connect with one another, and not reserving those tools to some small number of elite people.

US-based social media, Facebook in particular, have been put under increased pressure to increasingly police their platforms so that they are not used by ‘malicious’ actors. The initial push came after the 2016 election based on the claim that Russia used memes to interfere with the political process. More recently, the justification for censorship was that misinformation about Covid-19 and health was running rampant online.

Bosworth reiterated his discomfort over attempts to turn Facebook into an arbiter of what speech should be considered malicious and banned. Even using third-party checkers to do the job is far from a perfect solution, he said.

Our ability to know what is misinformation is itself in question, and I think reasonably so.

“I am very uncomfortable with the idea that we possess fundamental rightness even in our most scientific centers of study to exercise that kind of power on a citizen, another human, and what they want to say, and who they want to listen to,” he said.

Putin offers Boris talks on stopping NATO spread

There’s an urgent need for talks to stop NATO’s eastward expansion and block the alliance’s deployment of offensive weapons, Russian President Vladimir Putin has told British PM Boris Johnson, citing the situation in Ukraine.

Moscow floated the notion last week of a legally binding treaty offering firm security guarantees that NATO would not expand any further east, or emplace offensive weapons in member countries bordering Russia. Putin informed Johnson in the phone call on Monday that Russia is preparing draft documents to that effect already, and that negotiations need to begin “immediately.”

Pointing out that Johnson brought up the issue of “alleged large-scale movement of Russian troops along the Ukrainian borders,” the Kremlin’s readout of the call noted that Putin responded with “specific examples of Kiev’s destructive line on the disruption of the Minsk agreements,” which the Russian leader called “an uncontested basis for resolving the internal Ukrainian crisis.”

Ukrainian authorities are “purposefully exacerbating” the situation in the two breakaway regions in the east, using heavy weapons and attack drones, while discriminating against the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine, Putin added.

His comments came after Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said NATO will face “dire consequences” if it continues to threaten Russian security.

“Lack of progress towards a political and diplomatic solution to this problem will lead to our response being military and technological,” Ryabkov told the newspaper Izvestiya in an interview published on Monday.

The readout provided by 10 Downing Street said Johnson “reiterated the importance of working through diplomatic channels to de-escalate tensions and identify durable solutions.” The British PM also “emphasized the UK’s commitment to Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and warned that any destabilizing action would be a strategic mistake that would have significant consequences.”

Economic collapse = societal collapse. It’s deliberate so that we can have “order out of chaos”, as in New World Order, also known as the tyranny of the ruling sociopaths.

Other than the obvious consequences, what might we expect from a partial economic collapse? A total collapse of the economy would throw the nation into utter chaos. But what if we endure an economic depression, or a severe and long-lasting downturn? I think that some of the effects are not so obvious.

1. The college and university system will collapse

As I explained in this previous post, the system of higher education is a house of cards. The cost of getting a college degree has risen sharply and steadily, while real income has remained relatively flat. The price rise is due to the easy availability of grants and loans for education. But with so many persons getting a college degree, its value in the marketplace has plummeted. Many college grads are out of work, or they are working in a job that does not require a degree. Eventually, this practice of paying more and more, for something that is worth less and less, will collapse the system. Colleges and universities will not have enough paying students, and professors will not agree to a drastic pay cut. Overhead expenses are far too high.

All that is needed is an economic collapse, or partial collapse, to topple this house of cards. Many universities and colleges will be forced by economics to shut down.

1. Agricultural yields will plummet

The current U.S. agricultural system is based on the expectation of high yields. But high yields are obtained by high inputs — all the things that go into growing the crop, including lots of fertilizer, perhaps irrigation, herbicides, pesticides, labor, machinery. Then those high yields are sold and the money is then used to fund the inputs for the next crop cycle.

An economic collapse will mean that farmers will not be able to afford all the inputs needed for high yields. And when yields fall, the amount of money from that crop will be less. Then the next crop cycle will have even less money for inputs, resulting in even lower yields. And the process will continue — lower yields, less money, lower inputs — until many farmers are out of business and a food crisis results.

1. Violent crime will increase

When people lack money and food, they become desperate. And desperate people do desperate things. Theft and robbery will skyrocket, and people will be afraid in their homes, and afraid to go out in the community. Even a quick trip to the market will become risky. Sales of most goods will plummet, causing the economic crisis to worsen. Protests will turn violent. Home invasion robberies will become much more common. Many people will be killed or injured as a result of this increase in violent crimes.

1. Law enforcement will be overwhelmed

The law enforcement system in the U.S. is commercial. Officers are paid. We don’t keep a large excess of officers on the payroll, just in case crime sharply increases. So it is relatively easy for the system to be overwhelmed. And that means a call to 911 might not bring the police to your door in time, if at all. Those who have firearms for home defense will be much better off than those who rely solely on the police. But many households have no firearms. And that means that robberies will increase, and so will the economic damage and the number of injuries and deaths.

1. The healthcare system will be overwhelmed

The healthcare system is also commercial, and lacks a safety margin in the form of excess doctors and nurses. Hospitals operate at close to capacity. A sudden increase in persons who are sick or injured will overwhelm the system.

The aforementioned increase in violent crime will undoubtedly increase injuries. But it is less obvious that a disruption to the food production and distribution system will increase illnesses. Plenty of good healthy food is the first line of defense against illness. Malnourished persons are much more likely to get sick. So an extended disruption to the food supply will cause an increase in illnesses.

China offers humanitarian aid to US after tornado kills 100+

China has offered to support the United States’ humanitarian efforts related to the deadly tornado that ripped through multiple Midwestern and Southern states on Friday.

A spokesperson with the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), told reporters on Monday that China is willing to “provide emergency humanitarian help” to those impacted by the natural disaster.

“We have noticed that a number of U.S. states have been hit by severe tornadoes recently, causing significant casualties and property damage,” CIDCA spokesperson Xu Wei said, according to state-run media CGTN.

“We expressed our condolences and willingness to provide emergency humanitarian help to the affected people according to the needs of the U.S. side,” he added.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin also told reporters that Beijing is offering its condolences to those impacted by the tornado.

“China extends sympathy over the heavy casualties and economic losses caused by tornadoes in six middle states in the US including Kentucky, Illinois and Tennessee. We wish the injured a speedy recovery and hope the affected people could rebuild their home soon,” he said.

According to Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, more than 100 Kentuckians were killed in the devastating tornado.

“I know we’ve lost more than 80 Kentuckians. That number is going to exceed more than 100. This is the deadliest tornado event we have ever had. I think it’s going to be the longest and deadliest tornado event in U.S. history,” Beshear told CNN. “We know that one of these tornadoes was on the ground for over 227 miles and 200 were in Kentucky. I have towns that are just gone. I mean gone.”

Now in his 70's, Schocken made the remarks in an indignant response to a right-wing member of the Israeli Knesset, Amichai Chikli of the Yamina party. The 40-year old denounced what he calls the Israeli left, saying that they had undermined Zionism.

Schocken, who describes himself as someone who "adhere[s] to genuine Zionism" rejected Chikli's criticism. "People such as Chikli think they're Zionists, but when they support and maintain an Apartheid regime, they're anti-Zionists," Schocken added, hitting back at the Israeli right.

Schocken and Grossman are among a growing list of Israelis who have acknowledged Israel's status as an Apartheid State since the release of the report by Human Rights Watch and B'Tselem in April.

One can say many things about this, but one cannot say Israel is fulfilling Zionism as a Jewish and democratic state.

According to the Partition Plan, incidentally, the city of Hebron would have been in the Arab state, and even after the War of Independence, Hebron was part of the Kingdom of Jordan. It wasn't in Israel.

Today in Hebron there's a Jewish-Israeli settlement, but it can only exist because about 500 IDF soldiers ensure its security every day. There is no place else like it in Israel.

Trump: Netanyahu 'never wanted peace' with Palestinians

Former President Trump said in an interview published on Monday that he believes former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu never had any desire to establish peace with the Palestinians during his 12-year term in power.

"I don't think Bibi ever wanted to make peace," Trump told Axios's Barak Ravid, using Netanyahu's nickname. "I think he just tapped us along. Just tap, tap, tap, you know?"

“My whole life is deals. I'm like one big deal. That's all I do, so I understand it," said Trump. "And after meeting with Bibi for three minutes … I stopped Bibi in the middle of a sentence. I said, 'Bibi, you don't want to make a deal. Do you?' And he said, 'Well, uh, uh uh' — and the fact is, I don't think Bibi ever wanted to make a deal."

According to Ravid, Trump realized early on in his presidency that Netanyahu posed a larger obstacle to establishing peace than Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

“I thought he was terrific," Trump said of Abbas. "He was almost like a father. Couldn't have been nicer. I thought he wanted to make a deal more than Netanyahu."

Despite this, Trump accused Abbas of presenting a cordial tone in person but espousing a more critical, "warlike" tone when speaking in public.

As Ravid noted, Trump apparently reached the same conclusion that two of his predecessors — former Presidents Clinton and Obama — had reached when they worked with Netanyahu on reaching a two-state solution. In a 2014 interview, Clinton agreed that Netanyahu was probably "not the guy" who would make peace with Palestine.

Netanyahu and Obama's relationship was known to be rather strained due to their stark ideological differences. Netanyahu was also strongly opposed to Obama's work in establishing a nuclear agreement with Iran.

Ravid's interview with Trump was for his new book, “Trump’s Peace: The Abraham Accords and the Reshaping of the Middle East."
