but the truth is that Phil worked hard with his hands and his family as a commercial fisherman while he got his duck call business going. He hustled his calls to each sporting goods store and walmart individually. The TV thing came only after his son married a trust fund girl. His son instigated it, after the business was well established. And Phil's prediction about the show was "this will never work, unless, the only way it could work, is if God is using it for his benefit." Many since were baptized in the river at Phil's boat launch.
