Operation 'Dirty Santa': 27 people arrested on sex offender-related charges in Northwest Florida

PANAMA CITY — Multiple individuals have been arrested on an array of charges following a multi-agency operation dubbed Operation "Dirty Santa," targeting sex offenders.

According to a news release from the Panama City Police Department, multiple agencies teamed up with the PCPD from Dec. 8 to Dec. 12 in a joint operation to target and remove individuals in the community on various sex-related crimes.

More than 30 law enforcement officers at various levels participated in the operation, putting in countless hours of investigative work to make these arrests, the release states.

The four-day operation resulted in 27 individuals being arrested on a broad range of charges including failure to register as a sex offender; failure to register an email address; failure to register an Internet identifier, such as a social media account or Internet provider; possession of child pornography; traveling to meet a minor for sex; lewd and lascivious battery and aggravated sexual battery, the release states.

“I and the Panama City Police Department are proud to team up with dozens of local, state and federal law enforcement officers, focused and dedicated to protecting the most innocent,” Panama City Police Chief Mark Smith said. “They left their families to work long hours, at times into the early morning hours to keep other families safe.”

Veteran actor fired for refusing Covid-19 vaccine sues ABC

A veteran actor is suing ABC for religious discrimination after he was fired from America’s longest-running soap opera for refusing to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

Ingo Rademacher, 50, who starred as Jasper Jacks on General Hospital for 25 years before his dismissal last month, has accused the Disney-owned American Broadcasting Company (ABC) of refusing to accept his exemption request for “sincerely held religious objections to the Covid-19 shots.”

Rademacher is represented by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – the son of assassinated US Senator Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of former US president John F. Kennedy – along with attorneys John W. Howard and Scott J. Street. The actor’s lawsuit claims ABC “subjected him to half an hour of cross-examination about his religious beliefs and then denied his exemption request, without explanation.”

The lawsuit blasts the network’s decision as “blatantly unlawful” and argued that ABC does not “have the authority to force a medical treatment on its employees against their will,” and would have to offer religious exemption even if it did.

Rademacher also argues that the vaccine mandate violated privacy interests by demanding proof of vaccination from employees.

The actor is seeking compensatory damages and attorney’s fees from ABC, along with “an order declaring ABC’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate unconstitutional.”

Before his dismissal, Rademacher had been the target of a social media campaign to get him fired over his opposition to Covid-19 vaccine mandates. He confirmed his dismissal last week in an Instagram video.

Rademacher’s co-star Steve Burton, who played Jason Morgan on General Hospital for 29 years, was also fired from the show last month after he refused to get vaccinated. Burton applied for both religious and medical exemptions from the vaccine mandate but was refused.

General Hospital has aired continuously since 1963, making it the longest-running US soap opera in history.

In order to promote mass adoption of the experimental vaccine, McCullough says health officials purposefully suppressed treatments and refrained from compiling a treatment protocol to combat the virus, in hopes that people would be so afraid that they would just take the jab.

It’s completely laid out by the book by Dr. Pam Popper [and] another book recently published by Peter Breggen, “Covid-19 and the Global Predators: We are the Prey.” These books are basically non-fiction, [there are] a thousand citations in the Breggen book showing how it was coordinated and planned. I can tell you that if you want to find the evidence that Moderna was working on the vaccine before the virus ever emanated out of the [Wuhan] lab – If you want to find the collisions and the operations between The Gates Foundation, and GAVI, and CEPI, and Pfizer, and Moderna, and the vaccine manufacturers, and the Wuhan lab, and the National Institutes of Health, and Ralph Baric, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and how this was all organized [the information is avilible].

In addition to citing several source texts that have compiled a timeline of the events that led to the Wu-flu outbreak, McCollough also spoke about a pandemic planning seminar that was held at Johns Hopkins University in 2017. The group of public health researchers looked at a ‘hypothetical’ virus outbreak that was named SPARS, which was also supposed to be a coronavirus that is related to SARS and MERS (just like Covid-19 is).

Federal Judge Strikes Down Trump’s Lawsuit to Block Congress from Getting His Tax Returns

A federal judge on Tuesday struck down Trump’s lawsuit to block Congress from getting his tax returns.

US District Judge of the US District Court for the District of Columbia, Trevor McFadden, a Trump appointee, dismissed Trump’s case to keep the Treasury from giving his tax returns to the House Committee on Ways and Means.

Judge McFadden said even if Trump is right on the facts. he is wrong on the law.

“A long line of Supreme Court cases requires great deference to facially valid congressional inquiries. Even the special solicitude accorded former President does not alter the outcome. The Court will therefore dismiss the case,” the judge said in a 45-page memorandum.

Judge McFadden told House Ways and Means Committee Chair, Rep. Neal that it would not be wise to make Trump’ tax returns public.

“Anyone can see that publishing confidential tax information of a political rival is the type of move that will return to plague the inventor,” the judge wrote. “It might not be right or wise to publish the returns, but it is the Chairman’s right to do so. Congress has granted him this extraordinary power, and courts are loath to second guess congressional motives or duly enacted statutes. The Court will not do so here and thus must dismiss this case.”

The judge gave Trump’s lawyers 14 days to appeal.

Russia Vetoes UN Resolution Linking Climate Change To Global Security

Russia has vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution that sought to formally link climate change and global security.

The resolution, drafted by Niger and Ireland, called for "information on the security implications of climate change" to be addressed by the Security Council.

The measure also asked UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to make climate-related security risks "a central component" of conflict-prevention and peacekeeping strategies.

The text won support from 12 of the council's 15 members on December 13. India voted no and China abstained.

Veto-wielding Russia voted no to block the resolution.

"Only the [Security Council] can ensure the security impacts of climate change are integrated into the critical work of conflict prevention and mitigation, peacekeeping, and humanitarian response," the U.S. ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, wrote on Twitter.

"Russia let the world down by vetoing a resolution backed by a majority of UN member states," she said.

The resolution was long overdue and only a "modest first step," Irish Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason said.

Her counterpart from Niger, Abdou Abarry, called opposition to the draft "short-sighted."

Following the vote, Niger and Ireland denounced the veto power given to permanent Security Council members the United States, Britain, France, Russia, and China, calling the rule created during the UN's post-World War II founding "an anachronism."

"This council will never live up to its mandate for international peace and security if it does not adapt. It must reflect the moment we are now living in, the threats to international peace and security which we now face," they said.

Opponents of the resolution said the UN already had bodies devoted to addressing climate change and it doesn’t belong on the agenda of the Security Council, where the issue could become politicized.

The Russian mission to the UN said in a statement that the resolution was aimed at "coercing" the council to examine conflicts and threats to international peace and security through a one-dimensional "climate lens."

"It was a generic proposal to establish this automatic link while neglecting all other aspects of situations in countries in conflict or countries lagging behind in their socioeconomic development," the statement added.

The resolution would have been used "to gain leverage in the council to impose a particular vision with regard to fulfillment of climate commitments and ultimately to initiate putting any country on the council's agenda under the climate pretext since climate-related issues are felt all over the world," it said.

Bundaberg Regional Council ‘passing off press releases as news’

The head of Country Press Australia has written to the Bundaberg Mayor to complain about local councils creating their own news services that masquerade as legitimate organisations.

Federal Minister Paul Fletcher says it raises serious concerns about blurring the lines between news and marketing.

Country Press Australia member and Morgan Productions Director Damian Morgan says there has been a “move towards councils hiring journalists” and doing marketing work but most of this is above board, except for what the Bundaberg council is doing.

“Bundaberg regional council has their own full scale news service, and in fact it’s the biggest newsroom in Bundaberg and they are producing everything from local sport to business profiles to emergency coverage,” he told Sky News Australia.

“The problem is in that mix of broad scope of community news, they’re also reporting on themselves and they’re doing it under the name of Bundaberg Now so it gives off the impression that it’s independent news and you don’t see anything on Bundaberg Now that isn’t glowing of the council.

“The risk is that they’re passing off press releases or marketing as news and the impartial observer is none the wiser.”

Harvard Professor Charged With Lying About China Ties Goes on Trial

BOSTON—A federal jury was selected on Tuesday in the trial of a Harvard University nanotechnology professor accused of lying to U.S. authorities about his ties to a China-run recruitment program and concealing funding he received from the Chinese regime.

The Boston jury will return on Wednesday to hear lawyers deliver opening statements in the trial of Charles Lieber, an ex-chair of Harvard’s chemistry department charged in the highest-profile case to result from a U.S. crackdown on Chinese influence within universities.

Lieber, 62, has pleaded not guilty to six false statement and tax charges. His lawyer, Marc Mukasey, has said Lieber “didn’t hide anything, and he didn’t get paid as the government alleges.”

Prosecutors charged Lieber in January 2020 as part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s “China Initiative” it started during former President Donald Trump’s administration to combat Chinese economic espionage and research theft.

Prosecutors said Lieber in 2011 became a “strategic scientist” at Wuhan University of Technology and through it participated in a Chinese recruitment drive called the Thousand Talents Program.

U.S. authorities say China uses the program to entice foreign researchers to share their knowledge with China in exchange for perks including research funding.

As part of the program, the Wuhan university gave Lieber more than $1.5 million to establish a Chinese lab and agreed to pay him $50,000 per month plus $150,000 in annual living expenses.

Prosecutors said Lieber lied to investigators about his involvement in the program and also misled Harvard, which in 2019 told the National Institutes of Health that he was not involved with it.

They were warned: NFL changes who it considers fully vaxxed, mandates boosters by end of Christmas weekend … or else

Vaccine mandate naysayers repeatedly warned anyone who would listen that "fully vaccinated" would eventually evolve from two jabs to "whatever boosters government experts tell you to get" — and now NFL employees are learning that those critics, who are often purged from what the smart set considers polite and right-thinking society, were correct all along.

The NFL entered the season with stringent COVID protocols and vaccine requirements. And now the league's employees are being told they have to get another shot.

ESPN reported Monday that the league sent a memo to the teams ordering that all Tier 1 and Tier 2 employees — e.g. coaches, front-office executives, and medical personnel — have to get the booster jab by Dec. 27. News of the new order came following reports that the NFL had 37 positive tests Monday, an unusually high number of cases.

"On November 29, the CDC issued a study showing that the effectiveness of the approved COVID-19 vaccines may decrease over time and has recommended that all eligible vaccinated individuals over the age of 18 should receive a booster shot," the NFL said in the memo, which was posted by the NFL Network. "Given the increased prevalence of the virus in our communities, our experts have recommended that we implement the CDC's recommendation."

Folks who got the Pfizer or Moderna shots more than six months ago and those who got the Johnson & Johnson shot more than two months ago — all of whom were considered fully vaxxed until just recently — will have to get boosters.

There are some workers who don't have to get jabbed — at least not yet:

An individual who is not eligible for a booster pursuant as per the CDC definition; OR

An individual who is in the 90-day test holiday after a confirmed positive COVID test under the league Protocols; OR

An individual who received monoclonal antibodies within the immediately preceding 90 days; OR

An individual whose “S” antibody level on an antibody test administered via BRL (BioReference Lab) at the club facility is 2500 or greater.

No word from the league on how soon it will again change the standard for whom it considers fully vaxxed.

15 lawmakers profiting from defense industry investments while running US defense policy: Report

Fifteen lawmakers serving on House and Senate committees that shape U.S. military policy are profiting from investments in prominent defense contractors benefited by the very policies they influence, according to federal financial records analyzed by Business Insider this week.

Insider examined nearly 9,000 financial reports for every sitting member of Congress, as well as their top staffers, as part of a broader effort dubbed the Conflicted Congress project, which aims to identify possible conflicts of interest among lawmakers in Congress. Both Democrats and Republicans serving on the Armed Services committees have combined defense industry investments nearing $1 million as of 2020, and they’re continuing to invest and cash in.

Among the contractors that appeared in the committee members’ financial disclosures were Lockheed Martin Corp., Boeing Co., Raytheon Technologies Corp., Honeywell, and General Electric. Each company is known for spending millions to lobby the federal government in an effort to win lucrative government contracts and shape public policy.

One of the congressmen on Insider’s list is 16-term Rep. Jim Cooper (D-TN). Cooper, who leads the House panel’s Strategic Forces Subcommittee and owned $65,000 worth of General Electric (GE) stock by the end of last year.

According to GE’s website, the company is a “leading supplier of integrated systems and technologies for combat aircraft, military transport, helicopters, land vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)” that works to enable “armed forces around the world to improve reliability and enhance operational performance.”

“Using a legacy as a world-class leader in the industry, GE is making the future of military air and land procedures safer, stronger and more dynamic than ever before,” the website continued.

Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX) was documented buying and selling nearly $1.4 million in Boeing stock in 2021, and reported owning $50,000 in General Electric stock.

Insider further reported that the wife of Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) – who continues to serve on the House Armed Services Committee – invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in several defense contractor stocks last year, including Boeing, General Dynamics, General Electric, Honeywell, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.

“My wife has assets prior to marriage which are legally not mine, and it’s not my place to tell her what to do with her separate assets,” Ro Khanna told Insider.

Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) denies knowing about $15,000 worth of Lockheed Martin stock and another $15,000 in Honeywell that appeared in his financial records.

A spokesman for Wittman said in an email that the congressman “believes members of Congress should not improperly benefit from their role” and that Wittman “remains committed to accountability and transparency in government.”

Report: White House Cancels Christmas Parties After Hosting Holiday Bash for Democrats

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden on Tuesday canceled White House Christmas parties over Omicron variant coronovirus fears, according to the Daily Mail.

While Joe Biden, Vice President Harris, Jill Biden, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will host the Democrat National Committee’s (DNC) holiday party elsewhere in Washington, DC, Tuesday evening, the Bidens have canceled many of the traditional White House Christmas celebrations that afford private citizens a glimpse into the mansion’s Christmas cheer.

“In the coming days, we will host a limited number of Holiday Open Houses, inviting guests to see the Christmas decorations in person at the White House,” Jill Biden’s spokesman, Michael LaRosa, told the Daily Mail.

The White House typically invites many private guests for a self-guided tour of the first family’s residence, where photos are taken under the presidential seal among elaborate Christmas decorations and iconic art.

But this year the guest list will reportedly be scaled down. LaRosa claimed:

It is disappointing that we cannot host as many people as the Bidens would like to, but as we have done since Day 1 of the Biden Administration, we will continue to implement strong COVID protocols, developed in consultation with our public health advisors.

When the White House press secretary was questioned about the coronavirus protocols still in place under Biden’s direction, she excused the precautions because the nation is “still in the middle of a pandemic.”

“Of course we’re going to continue to implement COVID protocols so it doesn’t look exactly like it has always looked here, but we are going to continue to celebrate, to embrace the holiday season and look for ways we can do that,” she said.

Reports: Biden White House Preparing for Coronavirus Tidal Wave in January

The White House is preparing for a flood of coronavirus cases to hit the United States in January after federal health officials briefed them with prediction models, according to reports.

“Everything points to a large wave. A large wave is coming,” a senior Biden administration official told Axios on Tuesday, predicting “plenty of hospitalizations” in the months ahead.

The Washington Post reported that top federal health officials from the Centers for Disease Control outlined their latest prediction models showing a large increase in cases and shared them with senior administration officials.

One health official familiar with the briefing described the latest scenario as “daunting.”

“The implications of a big wave in January that could swamp hospitals … we need to take that potential seriously,” the official told the Post.

“They’re considering the information at the highest levels right now, and thinking through how to get the public to understand what the scenarios mean,” the official continued. “It looks daunting.”

Studies show the existing coronavirus vaccines are not as effective against the coronavirus variants but provide some level of protection.

A White House official stressed that altering the coronavirus vaccines to be more effective against the Omicron variant was not being considered.

“We have to be careful not to repeat mistakes of the past,” the official told the Post. “If there is a change needed, we want to make it, but we don’t want to end up making a change if we don’t really need it. It costs time, money, and effort.”

Biden spent most of the day on Tuesday out of public view and no meetings were on his schedule.

The White House released a statement from the president on Tuesday afternoon hailing the positive news on a coronavirus treatment pill developed by Pfizer.

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard's grim prediction: 25,000 cases a day by the end of January

Health Minister Brad Hazzard says modelling has estimated NSW will record 25,000 cases a day as the state prepares for a new surge ahead of Christmas.

Health Minister Brad Hazzard says health authorities are anticipating NSW will record 25,000 cases of coronavirus a day.

Mr Hazzard spoke at a press conference on Wednesday as the state recorded 1,360 new COVID-19 cases - it's highest daily infection number in three months.

He said the reproductive rate of the virus was more than 1.5, according to epidemiologists at the University of NSW.

"And what they're telling us is that by the end of January we could be looking at 25,000 cases of the virus every single day," he said.

"So that takes us to about 175,000 in a week - that's one big difference from 1,360 today - which is already a cause for concern."

The Health Minister said while these predictions may not be accurate, he urged people to minimise their gatherings in high density settings and continue to practice COVID-safe measurements.

"So we may not get to 25,000 new cases every day but we could, and so precautionary principle to me as the Health Minister and my advice to the community is do all the things you know keep us safe.

"Stay outside if you can, wear those masks, get tested if you have any viral symptoms at all and just be careful about yourself and also the community. Thank you."

YouTube Dislikes Reappear With This Google Chrome Extension

Have you missed out on the days when there were huge amounts of downvotes on videos posted by the Biden administration? The ratio of upvotes to downvotes was so embarrassing for the administration that, for whatever reason, YouTube announced on Nov. 11 that it would hide "dislikes" to curb "creator harassment."

Anyone using Google Chrome can now install a plugin to return YouTube dislikes. The plugin is called "Return YouTube Dislike" and is downloadable in the chrome web store. The overview of the plugin reads:

"Uses data gathered before google closed dislike counts. Very accurate for videos published before Dec. 13 2021. It might be less accurate for unpopular videos published after Dec. 13. Counts votes made by extension users and extrapolates the number to the total number of viewers of a video. This extension is in a very active development phase - so if you experience any issues - don't hesitate to report them on our GitHub page or in discord.
