Did anons catch this resignation? RUSSELL J. DIGATE, PHD is the head of the Pharmacy school at St. John's University in NYC. He seems to be leaving in a hurry, too.

St. John's Pharmacy school is 100% in bed with Pfizer, which has thrown $millions at the school for years. St. John's quickly required ALL students to have the death-shot, for the Fall 2020 semester, and required it of all faculty for Fall 2021. Veteran tenured professors were kicked out when they refused.

Here's the notice which the VP for Academic Affairs just sent out to the school. Note that Dr. DiGate has obtained millions in grant $ from both NIH and unnamed "various pharmaceutical companies."

We are grateful for Dr. DiGate’s leadership as Dean and for his ongoing commitment to the success of our students, faculty, administrators, and staff. His service as Dean included the development of modern curricula, programs, and the addition and implementation of new course offerings. Dr. DiGate worked to make the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences more innovative and adaptive to the everchanging needs of the health care environment.

During his many years in higher education, Dr. DiGate has received almost $4 million in research support from the National Institute of Health and various pharmaceutical companies. He has co-authored three book chapters and co-authored 26 conference abstracts.

To ensure a smooth transition in leadership, John M. Conry, Pharm.D., has agreed to serve as Interim Dean effective January 1, 2022. Dr. Conry is a graduate of St. John’s, having earned a B.S. in Pharmacy in 1996 and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1998. Following several academic and pharmacist appointments, Dr. Conry joined St. John’s as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Clinical Health Professions in 2002, was tenured and promoted to Associate Clinical Professor in 2006 and was promoted to Full Clinical Professor in 2013. Dr. Conry served as Assistant Dean for Service Programs in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences from 2008-2016, Chairperson, Department of Clinical Health Professions from 2016-2021, and recently served as Special Advisor to the Dean for Strategic Initiatives. Dr. Conry serves as Director of the Urban Institute which is responsible for community outreach initiatives that primarily focus on the urban indigent patient population. He is a Senior Vincentian Research Fellow for the Vincentian Center for Church and Society at St. John’s. He also serves the University as Chair of the Faculty Research Consortium of the Vincentian Institute for Social Action.

In the coming months, a committee will be formed comprised of members from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and various sectors of the University to lead the campus community in identifying qualified candidates through a national search for the next Dean.

Please join me as we thank Dr. DiGate for his service as Dean of College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and congratulate Dr. Conry on his interim appointment to this important leadership position.
