Was reading excerpts from General PATTON'S diary earlier, then stumbled across Congressman Larry McDonald, who was a relative of General Patton (have seen "cousin" and "distant relative", so would have to keep digging for specifics…)

Lawrence Patton McDonald (April 1, 1935 – September 1, 1983 ???) was an American politician and a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Georgia's 7th congressional district as a Democrat from 1975 until he was killed while a passenger on board Korean Air Lines Flight 007 when it was shot down by Soviet interceptors.

McDonald was active in numerous civic organizations and maintained one of the most conservative voting records in Congress. He was known for his opposition to communism. Remembered as a martyr by American conservatives, he was the chairman of the John Birch Society.

In May of 1983, approximately 4 months before being shot down in KAL007, Congressman Larry McDonald takes on Pat Buchanan and Tom Braden on Crossfire as they badger him about his new role as Chairman of the John Birch Society. He easily handles them and answers questions concerning the Elite's Conspiracy for a One World Government. Larry also talks about the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) who work with their London counterpart the Royal Institute on International Affairs (RIIA) for a world government agenda. (17:40)
