In March, the DEA released its 2020 National Drug Threat Assessment, showing that Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán's old Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel were the top two criminal organizations in Mexico distributing drugs, including fentanyl, to the United States.

DEA warned that Mexican cartels - specifically the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, were ramping up production of wholesale quantities of fentanyl in both powder and pill forms, as the United States struggled with the opioid epidemic.

The cartel employs gatekeepers assigned to Ports Of Entry and controls Arizona and California area smuggling corridors into the United States.'

Oklahoma Rep. Terry O'Donnell, wife indicted over law change that let her become tag agent

Rep. Terry O'Donnell is charged in the indictment with five felonies and three misdemeanors. "He denies any wrongdoing," his attorney, Mack Martin, said.

His wife, Teresa O'Donnell, faces three felonies and one misdemeanor.

The most severe offense, conspiracy against the state, has a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

Her mother, Georgia McAfee, had been in charge of the Catoosa Tag Agency for more than 40 years. Teresa O'Donnell had worked there for more than four years before her appointment.

The United Church of Christ announced during the week of 2000-JUN-12 the creation of a scholarship fund for "self-affirmed gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender" seminary students. It will be called " The William R. Johnson Scholarship Fund, " named after first openly gay person to be ordained by the UCC.

Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a bill into law late Wednesday that will require high school graduates in Oklahoma to pass a citizenship test before they can receive their diploma.

House Bill 2030 requires students to correctly answer 60 out of 100 questions found on the United States naturalization test.

Proponents say taking the citizenship test will prevent rioting and looting.

The legislation was authored by Rep. Terry O'Donnell (R-Catoosa). As it was shepherded through the legislative process, he said it would ensure high school graduates are better engaged and be less likely to participate in civil unrest.
