I think all exploits are probably false flags. Especially this one since it was in the library for SO LONG. ZERO DAY anyone? They were using that for nefarious purposes. Especially because so many ENTERPRISE level applications use java based software stack.
For those not in the know… when you hear ENTERPRISE, think BANKS, insurance companies, places that have a bunch of very hard sought data like PII sold for a lot on the dark web. Stolen identities and trading based on insurance data on high profile targets is very valuable. hospitals dont matter because they are so insecure all their devices run as root anyways. They were screwed before this
