Which is why Viacom and NBC colluded to yank "It's a Wonderful Life" from the Public Domain in the late 1990s. Prior to those legal shenanigans, you could find IAWL playing on every tv network 24/7 during the two weeks before Christmas. It is THAT much an advertising cash cow. NBC, now the exclusive licensee, can only air this most joyous, loving and spiritually uplifting Movie TWICE A YEAR so as "to not dilute and over-saturate the population with such an Iconic Film"!
How tremendously artistically and spiritually altruistic of Viacom to forgo all those revenue $$$ billions for TWO DECADES because of fear that such traditional, Christian spiritual values would be TRIVIALIZED by over-saturation of the market during the most joyous and sacred Month of the year!!
ALL HAIL VIACOM !!!
