Given the riches anyone in power seems to amass these days, I have no doubt that shady transactions (be they monetary or human) is what keeps these generals in line. How many of them have spoken out against what happened in Afghanistan? How many people do we still have over there? Nary a headcount has been recently put forth; they're too busy welcoming Afghan God-knows-what into our country (unvetted AND unvaxxed)
