I delved into DNA research to solve my dad's adoption mystery. In the article they talk about 6-10 generations ago there might be one Indian in her ancestry. I was working with the assumption that I could not use anything beyond 5 generations with autosomal dna testing. To go further you need mDNA or Y-DNA testing and then you are looking at the fathers direct line or the mother's direct line AND looking back thousands of years.
And no one mentioned that American Indians did go to Europe! I do not know if they multiplied in Europe, but they were like museum exhibits paraded all over
