Don't need a guidebook to see real coin value. Just go to eBay and see the current prices for decent coins.

Online references to even get a sense of what is a worthwhile coin is the best way to go.

I used to sell coins on eBay US & Ancient Roman coins and it is the only well to tell true current value unless you want to take them to auction and share the profit with the auctioneer. :-)
