Texas Builds Border Wall in Sector Where 47K Migrants were Apprehended Last Month

The State of Texas began construction of a State-funded border wall to secure its border with Mexico as the Biden-era migrant crisis continues to grow. During the recently ended Fiscal Year 2021, nearly 70 percent of all migrant apprehensions along the U.S. southwest border with Mexico occurred in Texas-based border sectors.

“The State of Texas has taken comprehensive action to secure our southern border and address the border crisis while President Biden has sat idly by,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott said in a border wall unveiling on Saturday. “In June, I promised Texans that we would step up in the federal government’s absence and build our own border wall.”

“We have wasted no time in the six months since that promise was made, and I am proud to announce that construction of the Texas border wall is now underway,” the Texas governor added. “Today not only represents the first phase of the Texas border wall, but it also serves as a major milestone in our efforts to combat illegal immigration, stop the smuggling of drugs and people, and keep our communities safe.”

During Fiscal Year 2021, which ended on September 30, Border Patrol agents apprehended 1,151,796 migrants who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry in the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, Del Rio, Big Bend, and El Paso Sectors, Breitbart Texas reported. Since that time, another 202,937 migrants were apprehended in these same sectors.

The Texas-funded border wall construction project began in the nation’s busiest sector for migrant apprehensions. During November, the latest statistics available, agents in this sector apprehended 47,710 migrants — an increase of more than 175 percent over the previous November.

Governor Abbott cited “significant action” taken by the state in the absence of the federal government’s inaction. Those include:

Signing laws that provide $3 billion in funding for Texas’ border security efforts

Launching Operation Lone Star and deploying thousands of National Guard soldiers and Department of Public Safety troopers

Creating a system to arrest and jail illegal migrants trespassing or committing other state crimes in Texas

Signing a budget authorization to build the border wall in Texas

Signing a law to make it easier to prosecute smugglers bringing people into Texas

Signing 9 laws cracking down on human trafficking in Texas

Signing a law enhancing penalties for the manufacturing and distribution of fentanyl

Issuing a disaster declaration for the border crisis

Issuing an executive order preventing non-governmental entities from transporting illegal immigrants

Taking legal action to enforce the Remain in Mexico and Title 42 policies in Texas

In September, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 9 providing an additional $1.8 billion in state funds for border security. These include funds to construct the State’s border wall project.

Abbott reiterated, during the press conference above, his commitment to prosecuting migrants entering the state illegally who commit state crimes. “People we apprehend will be charged with trespassing to the state of Texas, and those charges will lead to them going to jail.”

Maryland Governor Tests Positive for Coronavirus, Feels Fine

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Maryland’s governor announced Monday that he has tested positive for COVID-19, but is feeling fine at the moment.

Gov. Larry Hogan wrote on Twitter that he received a positive rapid test Monday morning as part of his regular testing routine. Hogan, a cancer survivor, said he has been vaccinated, and has had a booster shot.

Over the summer, members of Hogan’s staff tested positive, but Hogan and Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford tested negative.

“As the Omicron variant becomes dominant, I want to urge you to get vaccinated or get your booster shot as soon as possible,” Hogan posted.

Hogan said Sunday on “Fox News Sunday” that he is not planning to issue any new lockdown orders despite his concerns about a surge in COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations. Hospitalizations in Maryland have risen by about 150 percent over the past two weeks, he said. The Republican governor said the state is trying to provide more support for hospitals and pushing to get more residents vaccinated amid the fast-spreading Omicron variant of COVID-19.

“We are anticipating over the next three to five weeks probably the worst surge we’ve seen in our hospitals throughout the entire crisis, but we don’t expect it to last for long. We’re hoping it starts to taper off fairly quickly, but we’re facing a pretty rough time,” Hogan said.

The state’s health department reported Sunday that 1,345 people were hospitalized, more than twice as many people who were hospitalized a month earlier. But the state has not reported data for COVID-19 cases or deaths since early December, when a cyberattack hit its health department.

375 Dead, 56 Missing After Typhoon Slams Philippines

MANILA, Philippines—The death toll from the strongest typhoon to batter the Philippines this year climbed to 375, with more than 50 others still missing and several central provinces struggling with downed communications and power outages and pleading for food and water, officials said Monday.

At its strongest, Typhoon Rai packed sustained winds of 195 kilometers (121 miles) per hour with gusts of up to 270 kph (168 mph) before blowing out into the South China Sea on Friday.

At least 375 people were killed, 56 were missing and 500 were injured, according to the national police. The toll may still increase because several towns and villages remained out of reach due to downed communications and power outages, although massive cleanup and repair efforts were underway.

Many were killed by falling trees and collapsing walls, flash floods, and landslides. A 57-year-old man was found dead hanging from a tree branch and a woman was blown away and died in Negros Occidental Province, police said.

Governor Arlene Bag-ao of Dinagat Islands, among the southeastern provinces first hit by the typhoon, said Rai’s ferocity on her island province of more than 130,000 people was worse than that of Typhoon Haiyan, one of the most powerful and deadliest typhoons on record which devastated the central Philippines in November 2013 but did not inflict any casualties in Dinagat.

“If it was like being in a washing machine before, this time there was like a huge monster that smashed itself everywhere, grabbed anything like trees and tin roofs and then hurled them everywhere,” Bag-ao said by telephone. “The wind was swirling north to south to east and west repeatedly for six hours. Some tin roof sheets were blown away and then were tossed back.”

At least 14 villagers died and more than 100 others were injured by flying roofs, debris, and glass shards and were treated in makeshift surgery rooms in damaged hospitals in Dinagat, Bag-ao said. Many more would have died if thousands of residents had not been evacuated from high-risk villages.

Dinagat and several other typhoon-hit provinces remained without electricity and communications and many residents needed construction materials, food, and water. Bag-ao and other provincial officials traveled to nearby regions that had cellphone signals to seek aid and coordinate recovery efforts with the national government.

More than 700,000 people were lashed by the typhoon in central island provinces, including more than 400,000 who had to be moved to emergency shelters. Thousands of residents were rescued from flooded villages, including in Loboc town in hard-hit Bohol province, where residents were trapped on roofs and in trees where they went to escape the rising floodwaters.

Coast guard ships ferried 29 American, British, Canadian, Swiss, Russian, Chinese, and other tourists who were stranded on Siargao Island, a popular surfing destination that was devastated by the typhoon, officials said.

Emergency crews were working to restore electricity in 227 cities and towns, officials said. Power had been restored in only 21 areas so far. Cellphone connections in more than 130 cities and towns were cut by the typhoon but at least 106 had been reconnected by Monday, officials said. Two local airports remained closed except for emergency flights, but most others have reopened, the civil aviation agency said.

Bag-ao and other officials were concerned that their provinces may run out of fuel, which was in high demand because of the use of temporary power generators, including those used for refrigerated warehouses with large amounts of coronavirus vaccine stocks.

At the Vatican, Pope Francis expressed his closeness to the people of the Philippines on Sunday, referencing the typhoon “that destroyed many homes.”

About 20 tropical storms and typhoons annually batter the Philippines, which lies between the Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea. It also lies along the seismically active Pacific “Ring of Fire” region, making it one of the world’s most disaster-prone countries.

Stunning Covid data from Denmark

But not for the reason you've been told; the story is vaccine failure, not Omicron

The Danes are now publishing extremely detailed daily data about Covid cases and hospitalizations - not just about Omicron, but all Covid variants.

And, in news that will surprise precisely no one who has been alive the last two years, they paint a picture entirely different than what the media claims.

Omicron - which continues to appear significantly less dangerous though more transmissible than earlier variants of Covid - has been used as a cover for vaccine failure.

Most new Covid cases in Denmark occur in people who are vaccinated or boosted - and that is true for both Omicron and earlier variants. More than 76 percent of non-Omicron Covid infections in Denmark are in vaccinated people, along with about 90 percent of Omicron infections.

Further, only 25 of the 561 people currently hospitalized in Denmark for Covid have the Omicron variant. The Danes do not provide an exact number for patients in intensive care with Omicron, saying only that it is fewer than five.

Perhaps the most stunning fact about Omicron and Denmark is that its rise actually parallels a marked slowdown in the growth of Danish hospitalizations and intensive care patients. Those rose roughly fivefold between mid-October and late November, as the Danes left the happy vaccine valley. Since then they have barely budged, rising about 20 percent.

The Defendants & Their Gates Connections

Here lies the third in a series of posts exposing the multitude of frauds, of which Matt Hancock, Chris Whitty, Patrick Vallance and Neil Ferguson stand accused in PUB’s Private Criminal Prosecution, focusing upon the connections between the UK’s Chief Scientific Officer and Bill Gates. In the following passages, Vallance is referred to as the 3rd defendant, whilst Hancock is the 1st, Whitty is the 2nd and Ferguson is the 4th defendant.

3RD DEFENDANT – PATRICK VALLANCE

Upon the evidence, the intimate connections between the 3rd defendant and Bill Gates, as well as his agenda to maximise ‘vaccination’ uptake worldwide, are beyond deniable.

According to the 3rd defendant’s Wikipedia page, from 1986 to 1995, he taught at St George’s Hospital Medical School, where his research concentrated on vascular biology and endothelial cell physiology.

From 1995 to 2002, he was a professor at Gates-funded UCL Medical School, where he was professor of medicine from 2002 to 2006 and then head of medicine. He was also registrar of the Academy of Medical Sciences.

In 2006, he joined GSK as Head of Drug Discovery. Four years later he became Head of Medicines Discovery and Development and in 2012 he was appointed President of Research and Development.

Law prof suggests rewrites of First and Second Amendments that do not mention free press or bearing arms

Law professor penned 'redo' of First and Second Amendments in Boston Globe op-ed

A professor at the University of Miami School of Law has penned a proposal for a "redo" of the First and Second Amendments in a Boston Globe op-ed.

Mary Anne Franks, the Michael R. Klein Distinguished Scholar Chair at the university, wrote that the first two amendments, which include the rights to free speech, religion and bearing arms, "inspire religious-like fervor in many Americans" and that both are "deeply flawed in their respective conceptualizations."

"These two amendments are highly susceptible to being read in isolation from the Constitution as a whole and from its commitments to equality and the collective good," Franks wrote.

The professor claims that the two amendments "tend to be interpreted in aggressively individualistic ways that ignore the reality of conflict among competing rights."

The result, according to Franks, is that "the most powerful members of society" benefit from these rights at the expense of vulnerable groups. Franks did not elaborate on individuals in these groups.

Franks proposed that both amendments should explicitly state "individual rights within the framework of ‘domestic tranquility’ and the ‘general welfare’ set out in the Constitution’s preamble."

For the First Amendment, her proposed "redo" reads:

"Every person has the right to freedom of expression, association, peaceful assembly, and petition of the government for redress of grievances, consistent with the rights of others to the same and subject to responsibility for abuses. All conflicts of such rights shall be resolved in accordance with the principle of equality and dignity of all persons."

It continues that the government must respect "the freedom of religion and the freedom from religion."

For the Second Amendment, Franks said the concept of self-defense should be expanded to include "a meaningful right to bodily autonomy" – such as on reproductive matters. Her proposal reads:

"All people have the right to bodily autonomy consistent with the right of other people to the same, including the right to defend themselves against unlawful force and the right of self-determination in reproductive matters. The government shall take reasonable measures to protect the health and safety of the public as a whole."

Rep. Ramthun Lays Out Evidence of Undeniable Voter Fraud in Wisconsin 2020 Election — Calls for Forensic Audit in State

Back in July Republican Representative Timothy Ramthum joined The Gateway Pundit to discuss his call for a forensic audit in the state of Wisconsin.

Even in July there was enough evidence of likely fraud that there were calls in the state for a forensic audit.

Rep. Ramthun first called for a forensic audit back on July 16th and he continues to speak out against the alleged fraud. Ramthun told Jim Hoft and Joe Hoft that he has heard from several experts outside the state including Seth Keshel on their thoughts for the need of an audit in Wisconsin.

Ramthun also spoke in favor of Representative Janel Brandtjen’s announcement push for a forensic audit in the state. Rep. Brandtjen called for an Arizona-style audit of Wisconsin’s November election.

Earlier this week Rep. Ramthun along with Wisconsin state Representatives Rep. Janel Brantjen, Rep. Chuck Wichgers, and Rep. Scott Allen released a statement calling out the latest Zuckerbucks venture the EOLDN announced earlier this week. The EOLDN is another Zuckerberg venture whose purpose is to stifle dissent among the masses who question the fraud in the 2020 election.

Bible museum displays Jesus as a “Transgender”

A German bible museum has created a controversial exhibit that displays Jesus Christ as being transgender according to a report from TheBlaze. “For some years now, society has been opening up to non-binary gender concepts.

We sometimes have heated debates about gender-equitable language. It seems to be one of the burning issues of our time. Take a look at the diversity of gender identities from biblical and modern times and find a divine answer that fits all questions: You are good as you are,” the museum’s website says.

The Bibelhaus Frankfurt displays three artifacts from its transgender Jesus exhibit on their website including a 3,000-year-old clay statue of the Sumerian goddess Asherah, an image of the “new Adam,” and a statue of Austrian drag queen singer Conchita Wurst, real name Thomas Neuwirth, according to Fox News.

The exhibit, “G*tt w/m/d,” encourages visitors to “take a look at the diversity of gender identities from biblical and modern times and find a divine answer that fits all questions: You are good as you are.”

The Bibelhaus website presents three of the exhibits: a statue of the goddess Asherah, an image of “The New Adam” with an LGBTQ pride rainbow flag, and a statue of Conchita Wurst, the drag queen persona of Austrian singer Thomas Neuwirth.

“Even in biblical times 3000 years ago it was clear: The fertility of the soil, animals, and people depends on the gods,” the exhibit’s blurb on Asherah reads. “A deity can do both – beget and give birth.” The museum notes that Asherah “in Judea and Samaria still belonged firmly in many households.”

Israel was involved in Soleimani assassination - ex-IDF intel chief

This is the first time a top Israeli official has confirmed a role in the operation in 2020 to assassinate Iran’s top commander Qasem Soleimani.

Israel played a role in the operation in 2020 to assassinate Iran’s top commander Qasem Soleimani, the former head of Military Intelligence Maj.-Gen. (ret.) Tamir Hayman has revealed. It was the first time a top Israeli official confirmed a role in the operation.

Hayman spoke in an interview with the Malam magazine which is published by the Israeli Intelligence Heritage and Commemoration Center.

Soleimani was the former Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force chief. In the interview, Hayman confirmed that Israel “played a role” in the US-led targeted killing two years ago.

In May, Yahoo News reported that Israel gave the US access to multiple cellphone numbers that belonged to Qasem Soleimani to help track him.

“The assassination of Soleimani was significant since our main enemy is Iran,” Hayman said. “It is rare to locate someone so senior who is also the operator on the ground, the strategist and the fighter.”

Hayman said that Israel has largely succeeded in denying Iranian attempts to entrench itself in Syria.

“We thwarted a lot of ways they tried to smuggle weapons and money and the headline of all of this is stopping the Iranians from entrenching themselves in Syria,” he said.

D.C. radio station is paid millions by the CCP to broadcast Chinese propaganda

Potomac Media Group's AM radio station is paid to air pro-China propaganda

The Chinese Communist Party's propaganda paid a Washington, D.C.-area radio station $4.4 million over the last several years to broadcast Chinese messaging, according to foreign agent disclosure filings.

The Potomac Media Group, headquartered in Virginia, disclosed its contract with the CCP's International Communication Planning Bureau in filings submitted to thee Department of Justice.

The documents, initially reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, reveal that the group's radio station – WCRW – airs content from China Global Television Network, including a series of talk shows that portray China positively.

According to the contract, the CCP's Communication Planning Bureau – a branch of the party's Propaganda Department – can review and verify the information shared during broadcasts. And the media company is also required to provide the CCP with reports on programming metrics and audience feedback.

The $4.4 million in payments cover the time period from July 2019 to August 2021 and account for social media promotion, production of a talk show called The Bridge, and broadcasting China Global Television Network (CGTN) content.

According to the Beacon, WCRW has broadcast material from China Radio International, a state-run organization, for nearly three decades, though this is the first time the station is registering with the DOJ as a foreign agent of China. CGTN was made to register with Justice as a foreign agent in February 2019.

IRGC Launched ‘The Great Prophet 17’ Military Drills

The forces of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) launched ‘The Great Prophet 17’ (Payambar-e Azam 17) military drills on the Persian Gulf coast, according to the reports by the IRNA news agency.

The exercises were launched on December 20 and are expected to last for five days.

‘The exercise has already begun in order to increase the level of combat readiness of the IRGC by using the most advanced equipment and tactics to deal with perceived threats and hybrid wars’, the Spokesman of the joint exercise of the Payambar-e Azam 17 General Abbas Nilforoshan announced.

The IRGC ground, naval and air forces, as well as units of the Basij Resistance Force, which is a paramilitary organization operating under the IRGC control, take part in the maneuvers.

The drills will be held in the provinces of Khuzestan, Bushehr and Hormozgan.

State media reported that in the early hours of Monday the drill was conducted to the south of the Bushehr province and also over parts of the Persian Gulf. The Iranian media had earlier reported on the beginning of a combat readiness check of the air defense forces in the Bushehr NPP area.

Referring to the diversity and multiplicity of participating forces and units, the drill spokesman said that “the practice of dealing with different kinds of threats that have the characteristics of synchronicity, coherence and entanglement in soft, semi-hard and hard areas will be operational for the first time in this exercise.”

The drill comes a day after the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy received military aircraft, swimmer delivery vehicles and a destroyer which had been modernized. The equipment was handed over to Iranian naval forces during a ceremony at Iran’s southern port city of Bandar Abbas.

The only logical reason would be for Danchenko to represent a legal risk to the interests of Hillary Clinton, likely through the direct association between Hillary Clinton and Charles Dolan, Danchenko’s collaborator and the liaison to Chris Steele from the Clinton campaign.

As a result of the Durham indictment, we know Igor Danchenko was working closely with Democrat Party public relations executive Charles Dolan to funnel the fabricated source material to Chris Steele. The Clinton team’s communication and contact with Charles Dolan would represent a legal risk to Hillary Clinton.

If Charles Dolan and Hillary Clinton were in communication, it seems like that would be the motive for Clinton’s lawyers to want to control Danchenko’s legal status and any statements to John Durham or the court. More than likely, the people in/around Hillary Clinton are the ones paying the law firm to represent Igor Danchenko.

Scandal: California 'Deputy Superintendent of Equity' Resigns After Illegal Hiring Revealed

A recent Politico investigation found that California’s first Department of Education deputy superintendent of equity, Dr. Daniel Lee ,was hired even though he “lives in Philadelphia and has a separate job there, more than 2,500 miles away” from the California schools he was charged with “fixing.” Afterward, California Assemblyman Kevin Kiley (R-06) sent a letter to the Government Operations Agency in Sacramento questioning the lawfulness of Lee’s hiring.

Remarkably, only a few days later Lee resigned from the position. However, if you’re like me and don’t live in woke world, you probably didn’t even know there was such a position as a deputy superintendent of equity; nor is it likely you know what such a creature does. Don’t worry, no one really knows what he does.

So how did Lee get this cushy no-show state job that pays nearly $180,000 in taxpayer-funded salary? Kiley said the brand-new position was created by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond specifically for Lee, his personal friend and former groomsman. On June 4, 2020, Thurmond announced several “multi-pronged partnerships and initiatives” to address so-called implicit bias and racism in California schools. Among those partnerships included in the announcement was “Dr. Daniel Lee, President-Elect for the New Jersey Psychological Association and Principal Consultant of N-PSY-T Psychological Services, who is developing a model for schools to address the impacts of implicit bias on student achievement.”

The Department of Education claims a deputy superintendent of equity concentrates on equity in areas like student counseling, social-emotional learning, and other educational programs—areas which Lee has no actual experience in performing within the academic setting of public schools. Of course, “equity” is that favorite woke term of the left designed to sound like “equality,” though it is in actuality anything but equal. “A good rule of thumb in California politics is when you hear the word ‘equity,’ something fishy is afoot,” said Kiley.

One has to wonder how someone in Thurmund’s position could possibly not know hiring Lee was at minimum unethical and at most illegal. Did he really think a scandal involving the hiring of his out-of-state, unqualified pal for a state position under his direct management was really the best way to “fix” California public schools? It does boggle the mind, but it’s the left we’re talking about here–so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he feigned that he didn’t know. At least Lee has resigned and (for now) none of California’s tax money is being wasted on a useless position.

The White House is set to blacklist several Chinese Communist Party-linked tech firms including those counting backing from investment funds linked to Hunter Biden.

Adding to the 60 Chinese groups already on the “Chinese military-industrial complex companies” investment blacklist, among the eight companies added by President Joe Biden include Megvii. The technology firm’s facial recognition software has been linked to the Chinese Communist Party’s mass surveillance operations of Uyghurs in Xinjiang as reported by the Financial Times and, more broadly, the regime’s social credit score system.

The company’s deep ties to Beijing come amidst massive investment from BHR Partners – a private equity firm where Hunter Biden served as a director beginning in 2013.

The newfound designation, which bars American investors from taking financial stakes in the companies, follows a Trump-era decision by the Department of Commerce that placed the firms singled out by Biden on its “entity list.” This designation restricted American companies from exporting technology or products to specific Chinese companies without obtaining a special government license.

Also included in the Biden blacklist is the controversial Chinese drone manufacturer DJI.

Since 2017, China-based DJI has been identified by the Department of Homeland Security as “selectively targeting government and privately owned entities within these sectors to expand its ability to collect and exploit sensitive U.S. data.” These fears prompted the U.S. Department of Interior to ground its entire fleet of DJI drones, “citing increasing concerns about the national security risk from Chinese manufacturers.”

The Department of Defense and U.S. Army have also followed suit.

The National Pulse has revealed the Biden White House’s hiring of consultants who previously worked for a firm lobbying on behalf of the drone company, which has seen purchases from the Biden White House as recently as July.

As Axios notes, the Secret Service bought eight DJI drones on July 26th, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) purchased 19 drones a few days earlier.

Asia: Thousands of firearms destroyed following counter-terrorism operation

LYON, FRANCE: Terrorism and organized crime are invariably linked to the illicit trafficking of firearms, often across borders.

A recent INTERPOL-led operation codenamed Trigger-Salvo saw law enforcement from 10 countries in Central, East and Southeast Asia coordinate in a series of border enforcement actions aimed at preventing firearms trafficking and detecting any links with terrorism and organized crime.

During a two-week period (25 October – 5 November), participating law enforcement agencies conducted enhanced passenger and cargo controls at designated airports, seaports, and land borders as well as at known smuggling routes within the participating countries. Data from the screening of individuals, travel documents and vehicles was then cross-checked against INTERPOL’s global databases, enabling officers to identify wanted persons and potential threats.

The operation notably saw Mongolian law enforcement destroy a cache of 2,000 illegal firearms, seized over a period of three years.

“Mongolia’s decision to destroy these firearms symbolises our commitment to Operation Trigger-Salvo and to enhancing security in the wider region,” said Police Lieutenant Colonel Nyamdavaa Bayasgalan, Chief Inspector of Mongolia’s INTERPOL National Central Bureau in Ulaanbaatar.

Three million searches

In total, nearly 3 million searches were conducted during Operation Trigger-Salvo, yielding more than 140 hits. The vast majority concerned individuals using travel documents reported lost or stolen and 19 individuals subject to INTERPOL Red Notices were also detected.

Through cargo inspections, nearly 34,000 packages and mail items were screened while more than 1,200 packages and general cargo were thoroughly inspected. Meanwhile, more than 12,000 vehicles were searched.

These checks led to the seizure of more than 800 firearm parts and 22 firearms, as well as nearly 10,000 ecstasy tablets worth approximately EUR 290,000.

More than 1,800 immigration-related offences were also detected, resulting in 64 arrests for people smuggling and five Thai nationals arrested for facilitating, transporting, and allowing the illegal entry of a person or persons across the Thai-Myanmar Border. The migrants smuggled were being brought to work illegally in Central Thailand.

WHO: Evidence Shows Omicron Spreads Faster Than Other Variants, Affects Vaccinated, Recovered People

The Omicron coronavirus variant, initially detected in South Africa and Botswana, was reported to be more contagious than other COVID strains. The new variant has already prompted additional pandemic restrictions in many countries.

There is significant evidence that the Omicron COVID-19 strain spreads faster than other variants and affects people who are vaccinated or have already had the coronavirus, World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Monday.

"There is now consistent evidence that Omicron is spreading significantly faster than the Delta variant", he said during a news briefing in Geneva. "And it is more likely people vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19 could be infected or re-infected".

According to the WHO head, the coronavirus has claimed over 3.3 million lives in 2021 - a number that eclipses last year's death tolls from HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis.

Giorgio Palu, the president of the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA), estimated that it may require up to 40 times more coronavirus antibodies to counteract the Omicron variant compared to the original strain.

Earlier in December, the United Kingdom confirmed one Omicron-related death in the country.

In November, the WHO identified the new strain as one of concern, as its high number of mutations possibly makes it more transmissible and dangerous.

Amid the influx of new cases caused by the spread of Omicron, many countries have introduced additional pandemic restrictions and urged citizens to receive booster shots of vaccines. Concerns over the outbreak of the new strain prompted the World Economic Forum scheduled for January 2022 to be postponed.

Sheriff: 6 arrested in undercover online child predator investigation

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. - Floyd County deputies, agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and other law enforcement agencies have arrested six people in an undercover investigation into online child predators.

Officials say "Operation Safe Christmas" was a three-day effort designed to arrest people who "communicate with children online and then travel to meet them for the purpose of having sex." Using various social media platforms and chat rooms, undercover investigators had hundreds of exchanges in which officials say the subjects "initiated contact with whom they believed was a minor and directed the conversation toward sex."

In some cases, authorities say the subjects sent the investigators obscene or lewd content including pornography, and tried to convince the "minor" to take nude or pornographic images for them.

The six suspects ranged from unemployed to an elementary school teacher and were all between the ages of 27 and 46 tears old. Investigators allege that the six arrested men traveled from around Floyd County and believed they were going to meet a child to engage in prearranged sex acts.

Jimmy Bowen, 46, was charged with electronically furnishing obscene material to minor, obscene internet contact with a child, sexually explicit conduct of minor, and Criminal attempt to commit a felony (aggravated child molestation),

Jeovani Ortega, 31, was charged with obscene internet contact with a child and criminal attempt to commit a felony (aggravated child molestation)

Jeff White, 27, was charged with electronically furnishing obscene material to minor, obscene internet contact with a child, sexual exploitation of children, aggravated assault on an officer in the performance of duties, obstruction of an officer, interference with government property, simple assault, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, and reckless conduct.

Norman Gentry, 31, was charged with obscene internet contact with a child; use of a computer service to seduce, solicit, lure or entice to commit an illegal act, criminal attempt to commit a felony (aggravated child molestation), and the purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana.

Adam Broadrick, 40, was charged with sexual exploitation of children, obscene internet contact with a child, criminal attempt to commit a felony (aggravated child molestation), and willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

Alleged cannibal believed eating victim’s remains would ‘cure his brain’

An Idaho man charged with murder and cannibalism in the death of a 70-year-old man allegedly believed that eating the victim’s flesh would “cure his brain.”

James David Russell, 39, is accused of killing David Flaget in September after tissue belonging to the victim was found inside Russell’s home in Clark Fork, the Bonners Ferry Herald reported.

Russell was taken into custody after authorities found Flaget’s body in a vehicle outside the alleged killer’s home on Sept. 10.

Newly released court documents reveal some of the victim’s remains were missing when his body was found.

Authorities said Russell believed he could “heal himself by cutting off portions of flesh” in order to “cure his brain,” according to the court documents.

During the investigation, police allegedly seized a blood-soaked microwave, glass bowl and knife from Russell’s home.

There was evidence that a clean-up kit was used to dispose of remains and evidence, authorities said.

Some of Flaget’s remains still haven’t been found. It wasn’t immediately clear what remains were still missing.

Russell was arrested on the murder charge in September, but prosecutors added the cannibalism charge last week, the court documents show.

Bonner County Detective Phillip Stella said it is believed to be the first cannibalism charge in the state.

“There’s a lot of facets we will certainly never know,” Stella said.

“It wasn’t the bloodiest crime scene, but it’s more of the psychological, ‘What the heck is going on here?’ and ‘Why am I picking up pieces?’ It’s a walk down the dark path that we don’t see very often.”

Court proceedings in his case were paused in October after a judge ordered Russell to undergo a mental evaluation.

Russell is scheduled to appear for a review hearing on Dec. 28.

Trump waved his hands and shouted “Don’t, don’t, don’t,” and also claimed a “hundred million people” were saved because he supported the development of COVID vaccines.

“Both the President and I are vaxxed and, did you get the booster?” O’Reilly asked.

“Yes,” Trump declared, to a mix of cheers and boos from the audience.

The former president immediately began waving his hands and exclaiming “Don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t, no, no, no.” He then pointed at the audience and said, “That’s a very tiny group over there.”

Trump also extolled the virtues of COVID vaccines during the interview.

“Look, we did something that was historic, we saved tens of millions of lives worldwide when we, together, all of us, we got a vaccine done,” Trump said. “This was going to ravage the country far beyond what it is right now, take credit for it… it’s great, what we’ve done is historic. Don’t let them take it away.”

Trump went on to tell supporters that when they express skepticism over the vaccine, “You’re playing right into their hands.” He also expressed his opinion that a “hundred million people” were saved by COVID vaccines, and claimed that if he had not supported the vaccine then it would’ve been as deadly as the Spanish flu.

Fauci Says Mask Should Still Be Worn, Even If Vaccinated/Boosted Against COVID-19

Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday that masks should still be worn by those who are vaccinated against COVID-19 as they serve as an important tool in preventing the spread of the virus and compliment the shots.

During an interview on ABC’s “This Week”, the White House coronavirus response team member said that he did not believe masks would be going away any time in the near future and urged individuals to continue wearing them regardless of their vaccination status.

Fauci’s comment comes just days before Christmas when millions of families across the United States are set to travel to meet one another and celebrate the festive day together.

More than 109 million people—an almost 34 percent increase from last year—are expected to travel 50 miles or more via road, plane, or other forms of transport between Dec. 23 and Jan. 2 to visit loved ones, according to a report by AAA Travel.

Fauci was asked if vaccinated individuals should feel comfortable doing so, to which he replied, “No, I do. If you are vaccinated and boosted and are prudent when you travel, when you are in an airport, to be wearing a mask all the time, you have to be wearing a mask on a plane.”

“Do not do things like go to gatherings where there are people who you do not know what their vaccination status is,” he said.
