Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he will tell Premiers not to go into lockdown
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has revealed the advice he will give state premiers at an emergency national cabinet meeting.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he will advise premiers not to introduce heavy-handed restrictions or lockdowns ahead of an emergency national cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
With NSW and Victoria recording more than 4000 Covid cases on Tuesday, Mr Morrison said Australia needed to learn to live with the virus.
“The states have the total authority when it comes to public health orders,” he said.
“The Commonwealth does not have the power to direct those state and territory governments.
“What I will be saying to them, and I know a number of premiers agree with this, is we have got to move to the next phase of how we live with this virus.
“The time for that heavy hand is behind us.”
NSW broke its daily record with 3057 cases on Tuesday, while Victoria had a tally of 1245 infections.
Mr Morrison has called a snap emergency national cabinet meeting to discuss the rise of Omicron.
There is a push from NSW and Victorian premiers to fast track the country’s booster program, which currently advises there be a five-month wait between the second and third dose.
The nation's advisory body on vaccines – the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation – released its latest advice last week.
ATAGI decided to keep the five-month wait time but is constantly reviewing the gap.
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has indicated he won’t tighten restrictions or introduce a mask mandate.

Three Israeli companies and 10 suspects were indicted on Monday after they were found to have exported cruise missiles to China without a permit.
The Economic Department of the State Attorney informed the suspects that it would be filing an indictment on charges of committing security offenses, offenses in the field of weapons, offenses under the Defense Export Control Law, offenses under the Anti Money Laundering Law and more.
Ephraim Menashe, the owner of the Solar Sky company, which manufactures cruise missiles, among other things, brokered a deal with entities from China who were competing for a tender to provide cruise missiles to the Chinese military.
The deal was mediated by Zion Gazit and Uri Shachar, the owners of a security consulting company, which deals in consulting and mediation between foreign investors and Israeli tech companies.
Menashe also hired Zvika and Ziv Naveh, the owners of Innocon, which produces UAVs for intelligence purposes. Menashe also recruited other people who worked to produce cruise missiles and all their parts.

Leftist Gabriel Boric won Chile's presidential runoff election on Sunday, defeating far-right rival Jose Antonio Kast, who conceded defeat.
35-year-old Boric's victory represents a major revival for Chile's progressive left that has been on the rise since widespread protests roiled the Andean country two years ago.
However, the election results are viewed negatively by Chile's Jewish community due to Boric's outspoken anti-Zionist stance.

Jury deliberations begin in Ghislaine Maxwell trial

The jury began deliberating Monday afternoon in the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, who faces six counts relating to sex trafficking of minors and related conspiracy charges.

According to the New York Post, prosecutor Alison Moe said in her closing statements that Maxwell was "Jeffrey Epstein's right hand."
Defense attorneys argued that Maxwell is a stand-in for Epstein, Maxwell's former boyfriend who died in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting federal sex-trafficking charges.
"She was a sophisticated predator who knew exactly what she was doing … She ran the same playbook again and again and again," Moe said.
Maxwell's defense attacked her accusers and called in a "false memories" expert to discredit witnesses last week.
The British socialite did not testify in her own case. "Your honor, the government has not proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt, and so there's no reason for me to testify," Maxwell said.

Under Barack Obama and with the tacit approval of the Republican Party, those efforts accelerated, when he delivered on his promise to fundamentally transform the United States, stealthily, into a one-party totalitarian state.
The election of Donald Trump temporarily delayed the destruction of our constitutional republic and publicly exposed the bipartisan establishment’s intent to do so.
According to Angelo Codevilla, the United States already has a bona fide ruling class that transcends government, a political aristocracy that sees itself as distinct from the rest of society and as the only element that may act on its behalf. The ruling class considers those who resist it as having no moral or intellectual right, and, now, any civil right to do so.
Republican leaders neither contest that view nor vilify their Democrat counterparts because they do not want to challenge the ruling class, they want to be part of it. As noted by Jim Garrison, when a government is ruled by men unconstrained by law, there are few things that power cannot do. It can make political allies rich or political enemies paupers. It can waste billions of dollars without accountability and destroy an economy without responsibility. It can make incompetent men high officials or make extraordinary men corpses.
The globalists who control the U.S. government, whether from the inside or the outside, are philosophically and financially allied with and seeking the same outcome as the Chinese Communist Party, state capitalism and totalitarianism.

‘Potential Terrorist' From Saudi Arabia Caught After Crossing Biden's Open Border

… the 21-year-old man was apprehended Thursday night entering the U.S. from Mexico through Yuma, Arizona, according to a tweet from Yuma Sector Chief Patrol Agent Chris T. Clem. He appears to have been wearing a jacket emblazoned with an American flag patch and another that stated: ‘Central Oneida County Volunteer.’ The man is allegedly from Saudi Arabia and ‘is linked to several Yemeni subjects of interest.’
Central Oneida County is in New York; Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps Chief Thomas Meyers said the Saudi who was apprehended is not actually a member of the organization. It’s unclear how he got the jacket, but it suggests that he may have been in the United States before.
Border Patrol officials did not explain why the man was considered a “potential terrorist,” but there is nothing implausible about the claim. Rep. John Katko (R-NY), ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, distributed a fact sheet in October warning that “known or suspected terrorists are crossing the border ‘at a level we have never seen before.’”
John Cohen, the Department of Homeland Security’s counterterrorism coordinator, denied this, claiming, “That just simply is not the case. It is just factually inaccurate to frame the southern border as a place where we are seeing a significant number of al-Qaida or ISIS-related terrorists or foreign terrorists.” He said that the rate of jihad terrorists crossing the border was “very low,” and “low in comparison to people who are seeking to travel to the United States through the aviation infrastructure, through the northern border.”
However, when Border Patrol chief Rodney Scott retired last August, he released a video message in which he said: “Over and over again, I see other people talk about our mission, your mission, and the context of it being immigration or the current crisis today being an immigration crisis. I firmly believe that it is a national security crisis. Immigration is just a subcomponent of it, and right now it’s just a cover for massive amounts of smuggling going across the southwest border — to include TSDBs at a level we have never seen before. That’s a real threat.” The TSDB is the Terrorist Screening Database. Scott was referring to people who are on the database crossing the practically nonexistent Biden-era Southern border.

Eight people injured in accident involving US military convoy
A truck has collided with a US Army convoy in the southeast German state of Bavaria, setting several vehicles ablaze and wounding eight.
The Monday-morning accident left an entire highway section completely blocked after a semi collided with a tank truck which was a part of an American military convoy. Police say all three US vehicles caught fire as a result. According to the BR24 news website, the convoy, including two tank trucks, was on the shoulder of the road at the time of the accident.
Eight US service members have been taken to hospital. According to reports, they are being treated for non-life-threatening smoke inhalation symptoms. However, there is no information yet regarding the condition of the semi’s driver.
Bild newspaper said the US vehicles were on their way to a nearby training ground.
Emergency services are working at the site, with the fire already extinguished. Police are advising local residents on detours, but the accident has already led to massive traffic jams on the affected highway.
Authorities have ruled out a deliberate attack as a possible scenario.

6.2 quake strikes off coast of California
A strong, 6.2 earthquake has hit off the northern coast of California. Twitter has been flooded with reports of people describing the tremor, which reportedly came in waves.
The quake struck at 12:10 PST (20:10 GMT), approximately 38 kilometers west of the northern Californian community of Petrolia.
The earthquake was centered in the Pacific Ocean, according to reports, and state emergency services say they are monitoring any potential “secondary impacts.”
Weather services have warned that the quake has not made enough of an impact to issue any official tsunami warnings.
Others heard ‘earthquake’ and ‘California’ and assumed for a moment it could be the massive quake across from San Andreas Fault that meteorologists have been warning about for years. This overdue earthquake, often referred to as ‘The Big One’ by Californians, could measure at least 7.8 in magnitude and cause massive destruction for the state.

The latest retirement spells more trouble for Pelosi and the Democrats.
Roybal-Allard was the powerful chairwoman of an appropriations subcommittee overseeing immigration, The Hill reported.
“Serving my Constituents in Congress has been the single most distinguished honor of my life,” Roybal-Allard said in a statement Monday night. “Over my many years of public service, I have always strived to do that which is best to help improve my community and my country. After thirty years in the House of Representatives, the time has come for me to spend more time with my family. Therefore, I have decided not to seek reelection.”
“While I will not be seeking reelection in 2022, I look forward to continue to work for the people of my district in the new year and long after I leave public office,” she added.
Earlier Monday it was reported Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) will not seek reelection to the House next year.
According to CNN, Pelosi is running for reelection in 2022 and may run for speaker again despite a deal to limit her speakership to max 4 years.
With nearly 2 dozen incumbent House Democrats forgoing their reelection bid next year, Pelosi may not have a chance to run for Speaker again.
Look for Democrats to use the “Midterm Election Variant” to push for a national mail-in vote in November 2022.
They can’t win if they can’t cheat.
