In a year-end heist, thieves got their hands on $1 million worth of silver bullion, which disappeared from a truck traveling between Sydney and Melbourne in Australia.

Police are appealing to the public for help, releasing the images of the silver bars.

“Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives are appealing for information after silver bullion valued at $1 million was stolen from a truck traveling between Sydney and Melbourne,” the New South Wales Police Force said in a press release.

The missing silver was reported when the truck arrived in Melbourne on November 29 after leaving New South Wales on November 26. The heist happened while the truck was in transit.

A total of 192 individual 5 kg silver bars were stolen. They were being transported by a Kenworth truck and silver Krueger trailer.

The bullion is worth AUD $1,015,000, which is more than USD $720,000.

To help with the investigation, the police released an image of the missing silver bullion bar and the packaging the precious metal was being transported in.

“Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, or who may have seen the Kenworth truck and Krueger trailer while in transit, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800333000,” the release said.
