White House Says VP Harris Was In Contact With Staffer Who Tested Positive For COVID

Vice President of The United State Kamala Harris has tested negative for COVID-19 after coming in ‘close contact’ with a staffer who tested positive, the White House announced Wednesday evening.

On Wednesday morning, a staff member who was with the Vice President throughout the day Tuesday received a positive test result for COVID-19. Yesterday, Monday and every day last week, this staff member tested negative for COVID-19. The unnamed staff member is fully vaccinated and boosted and did not experience symptoms, the White House said.

As a part of that regular testing, the Vice President received an antigen test this morning and tested negative.

Earlier today, after being notified of the staffer’s positive test, the Vice President received a PCR test and tested negative. She will be tested again on Friday then again on Monday per CDC guidance.

As CDC guidance does not require fully vaccinated people to quarantine after an exposure, the Vice President will continue with her daily schedule. This evening, she will depart Joint Base Andrews for Los Angeles where she and the Second Gentleman will remain through the New Year.

AZ Legislators Hold Election Integrity Panel At TPUSA AmericaFest – Sen. Borrelli: “I Think The Canvas Is More Than The Count.”

Arizona State Senate President Karen Fann, Senator Sonny Borrelli, and Rep. Jake Hoffman chaired an election integrity panel on Sunday during Turning Point USA’s biggest event in history.

The Gateway Pundit covered the incredible speakers and the enormous crowds at TPUSA’s AmericaFest.

Over 400 students and everyday patriots over-filled the breakout session titled “State by State Election Integrity: What Happened in Arizona, The Audit, and The Future”.

The Gateway Pundit also reported that on Monday, U.S. Congressmen Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar also chaired an election integrity panel on stage in front of thousands of attendees.

Breitbart’s Alex Marlow hosted Sunday’s panel, chaired by Arizona State Legislators.

The crowd booed at the mention of AZ Governor Doug Ducey’s name.

Fann: So talking about the week of the elections, the interesting thing is, things that you’ve read in the media, don’t believe half the stuff you read because they do kind of make stuff up. What I can tell you is right after the election, I reached out to every single supervisor and said, “We have serious problems here. We have a lot of people that are contacting us with concerns about things that they saw at the polls, things that they observed, things that they had questions about. We need to get ahold of this, we need to get in front of this and get these questions answered for our public because they are never going to be able to trust our elections again if we don’t answer their questions for them.” It started out where they said, great idea, Karen, we’re with you, great idea. And within just a few weeks, they changed their tune and said nevermind, we don’t want to do anything about it. And it just kind of went downhill from there. Before we even selected the auditors, before we even talked to the first auditors that we were talking to. The media was already trashing any prospect of even doing an audit, not just in Arizona, but across the country. Now you have to ask yourself, why is it why would somebody not want an audit? Why would you not want to know that your vote is secure and safe, and only legal votes are being counted? Why would you not want to make sure that every one of our voters in this state and every state knows that elections count? They are sacred votes, and nobody should be messing with them.

Biden Uses Fake White House Set Again, Puts Something Strange in the Windows

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden addressed the nation on the predicted supply chain crisis and the steps he says his administration has taken to avert it just in time for the holidays.

The remarks were made during a meeting of the Supply Chain Disruptions Task Force, which the White House assembled over the summer to confront the shipping bottlenecks that have occurred in ports in recent months and which the administration says is rooted in the pandemic, as Fox Business reported.

Not for the first time, the president opted to make his televised remarks from a rather cartoonish White House-style television set.

Previously, Biden was scorched by Twitter users for getting his booster on live TV on the theatrical set, which is adorned with fake windows that for this previous occasion were complete with fake skies, clouds and trees.

On Wednesday, however, in an apparent effort to underscore plainly to the American people that Biden is taking the situation at our ports very, very seriously, the White House set dressers placed a landscape of container ships behind the fake windows.

Like the White House had just been magically transported to the Long Beach shipyard, or something?

Why does it seem like the White House has hired the kind of people who produce preschool kids’ shows for PBS to prep Biden for his TV appearances?

I’m not even kidding, this set reminds me so much of what you’d see in a program designed to promote early childhood learning that I can’t unsee it, nor can I shake the feeling that the administration is also talking down to us as though we are also newly discovering the distinguishing qualities of various shapes, colors and letter sounds.

University Of California Fires Director Of Ethics Program for Defying COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

Dr. Aaron Kheriaty, the longtime professor of psychiatry at the University of California-Irvine School of Medicine who sued the university over its COVID-19 vaccine mandate because it made no exceptions for natural immunity, has been fired by the institution for refusing the vaccine.

In a blog post titled “Farewell, University of California,” Dr. Kheriaty said he received notice of what he called his “arbitrary and capricious” firing on Dec. 16. It was effective the same day. The termination ends his UCI medical teaching career and his longtime role as director of the Medical Ethics Program at UCI Health.

Kheriaty said he worked unpaid nights helping the UCI president’s office draft triage guidelines for scarce resources and vaccines during the pandemic. When N-95 masks were so scarce that hospitals kept them under lock and key, Kheriaty said he found a supply at a local construction company and provided them to doctors and nurses.

“Everyone at the university seemed to be a fan of my work, until suddenly they were not,” Kheriaty wrote. “Once I challenged one of their policies, I immediately became a ‘threat to the health and safety of the community.’ No amount of empirical evidence about natural immunity or vaccine safety and efficacy mattered at all.

“The University’s leadership was not interested in scientific debate or ethical deliberation,” Kheriaty wrote. “When I was placed on unpaid suspension, I was not permitted to use my paid time off—that is to say, I was ordered to stay off campus because I was not vaccinated, but I also could not take vacation at home because… I was not vaccinated.”

Kheriaty said the university tried to prevent him from doing any professional work while he was on unpaid suspension, in an effort to pressure him to resign from a job he held for 15 years. He said he was not allowed on campus except to move out of his office. Kheriaty was also restricted from making money off-campus. “It was dizzying and, at times, surreal,” he wrote.

The firing decision, he said, was not made by the psychiatry department but by the UCI president’s office. Asked by The Epoch Times for more information about Dr. Kheriaty’s firing, UCI spokesman Tom Vasich wrote, “UCI does not comment on personnel issues.” Kheriaty was on unpaid suspension after initially being placed on “investigatory leave.”

“Now it’s officially over,” Kheriaty wrote on his blog. “I do not regret my time at the university. Indeed, I will miss my colleagues, the residents, and the medical students. I will miss teaching and supervising and doing ethics consults on some of the most challenging cases in the hospital.”

Kheriaty sued the University of California Board of Regents in federal court on Aug. 18, alleging the university’s vaccine mandate violates the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. In July 2020, Kheriaty contracted COVID-19, so he now has natural immunity that he argues is likely superior to protection from a vaccine. His lawsuit is working its way through U.S. District Court.

“Public Health Orders Are NOT Laws” – California School District DEFIES Newsom, Announces They Will Simply Not Enforce Vaccine Mandate on Students or Staff

In a rare show of fortitude from the educational establishment – especially within the woke Bastian of California, one school district is digging in its heels against the medical tyranny that is being imposed by the State’s radical Governor, saying simply that it will ignore the order to mandate vaccines for students and staff.

After overwhelming pushback from parents and community members over Gavin Newsom’s announcement in October that all eligible students must get vaccinated for the upcoming spring semester, the Oakdale Joint Unified School District overwhelmingly passed a resolution saying the district will not adhere to the governor’s authoritarian mandate and will petition state officials to downgrade the requirement to a recommendation.

Sometimes, all it takes is a simple ‘no.’ Especially when the issue at hand has nothing to do with any law – refusing to comply with arbitrary, unscientific public health orders is not criminal.

The school board voted 4-1 in approval of the measure, which they called “absolutely essential,” because it enables parents the freedom to make their own informed decisions about their children’s health.

“The governing board is aware that many parents have concerns about the safety of the COVID-19 vaccine and believes that parental choice regarding health decisions is absolutely essential.”

Regarding the vaccine mandate itself, the resolution clarifies that the district will not “deny employment” or “student access to in-person education” because of their Covid-19 vaccination status.

Naturally, the radical public health bureaucracy was not pleased with the district’s announcement. According to the Modesto Bee, the woke California Department of Education immediately threatened to cut attendance-based funding to schools that violate the governor’s vaccine mandate.

“A California Department of Education spokesman said districts would lose attendance-based funding if students attend school in person but are not vaccinated per the state’s requirements.

State Superintendent Tony Thurmond respects local control and understands the difficult choices districts need to make in order to keep schools open and safe and to keep all students learning,” spokesman Scott Roark said via email. “However, there are audit consequences for not adhering to current immunization requirements.”

Although the threat to cut funding is a scary prospect to face for schools, the threat rings somewhat hollow when you consider the fact that California’s Vaccine Mandate for students has already been pushed back to the beginning of the 2022 fall semester by most of the districts in the state, including Los Angeles Unified – the countries third-largest district.

Even if they did hold true to their promise to cut funding, they wouldn’t be able to levy any punishment against the district for at least 6 months.

Oakdale’s battle is far from over, but a lot can change between now and then.

In short, if more schools and institutions simply just say no, instead of delaying the mandate, then the governor cannot enforce his dictatorial edict.

In theory, it’s that easy.

Because, once again, public health orders are not laws. They can only be effective if you, and everyone else, comply.

The 2022 fall semester is a long way away. Every other School District should take a page out of Oakdale’s book, and just refuse this tyranny outright.

US disavows ‘diplomat’ arrested in Turkey

The State Department acknowledged the man arrested in Turkey last month was a US citizen, but denied he was a diplomat. Ankara earlier said the man had tried to sell a fake diplomatic passport to a Syrian national.

“We are aware of the detention of a US citizen in Turkey. The individual is not a US diplomat,” the State Department said on Wednesday afternoon. They gave no further details, adding only that the US was “providing appropriate consular services” to the individual, who has yet to be named.

Earlier in the day, Turkish media reported that a man identified only as D.J.K. had been arrested at the Istanbul airport on November 11, citing a police statement. The Istanbul Police Department said that passport control had flagged a Syrian national – identified only as R.S. – attempting to fly to Germany with a fake document.

After R.S. was caught at passport control, airport police checked surveillance cameras and found footage of him meeting with D.J.K. The two men exchanged clothes and R.S. received the passport, while giving D.J.K. an envelope.

When the American was searched, police found $10,000 in the envelope and a diplomatic passport to his own name, according to Turkish media. D.J.K. was arrested and remains in jail.

The US embassy in Ankara did not immediately comment on the reports. The State Department’s denial brings into question whether D.J.K.’s diplomatic passport the Turks say they found is authentic, or if he was posing as a diplomat in Lebanon. Either way, diplomatic immunity rules do not apply to him, as he was not accredited as such in Turkey, the newspaper Daily Sabah pointed out.
