Takes me back to when my neighbor invited me over to see the wonderful internet of things. It took at least 5 minutes to load that first page. He went and made a cup of coffee while it was loading. The thing was magical however. Each page took minutes to load. I stood and waited for it to load and to think, we could communicate all over the world.

It took me a bit before I could try to get anything to get online. I got my first credit card ever through sears and bought a 400.00 webtv. Computers were 2,000.00 at least and I could never afford that.

First site I went on was NASA. They had a chat room and I was fortunate to talk to a few people from Hong King. They were about to be taken over by China and were upset about it. Amazing conversations

I will never forget that all.

This vid reminded me of it. Thanks

Ted Cruz Floats 2024: Runner-Up ‘Almost Always the Next Nominee’

The 2024 election Republican primary could very well be a repeat of 2016, with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) facing off against former President Donald Trump for the top slot.

Speaking with the Truth Gazette, Cruz said he has “absolutely” been considering a 2024 run, noting that the runner-up from the last round often gets the nomination.

“You know, I ran in 2016. It was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. We had a very crowded field. We had 17 candidates in the race — a very strong field. And I ended up placing second” Cruz said.

“There’s a reason historically that the runner-up is almost always the next nominee,” Cruz continued. “And that’s been true going back to Nixon or Reagan or McCain or Romney that has played out repeatedly. You come in with just an enormous base of support.”

I don't know if you know this but he also had a dual citizenship and only dropped his Canadian citizenship a day or two before he announced he was running. He wasn't fully committed to being a U.S. cit until it was expedient for his run for the Presidency.
