I was watching The Darkest Hour the other night.
When Chamberlain was being roasted in Parliament for his "treaty" with Hitler, one person asked "where is Winston?" and another person answered "ensuring his fingerprints are not on the murder weapon".
Meaning he was absent at the time…a bowler hat was laying in a chair.
