If you borrow something, and return it, to the rightful owner, without ever requesting, and the owner never notices nor realizes your actions, is that still considered stealing?

The answer is yes, but if everyone ELSE but the owner knows, until after everything is said and done, and finds out… shouldn't it be highly considerable to treat the owner with a little ~~extra~~ gratitude IF the owner is a good 'sport' about all of it?

However, being a 'good sport' about everything, for the most part, but 'minus' a few VERY, CRUCIAL, 'discrepancies' that should be extensively reconciled to find an optimized balance between it all?
