Court Rules Against Democrat State Leaders – Will Allow Inspection of Fulton County, PA Dominion Voting Machines

The Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania ruled in favor of The Amistad Project and Fulton County, Pennsylvania, and will allow the inspection of the Fulton County, PA Dominion Voting Machines to proceed.

State Democrats including the Attorney General Josh Shapiro and Secretary of State Veronica Degraffenreid sued to prevent the voting machine inspections earlier this month. Democrats have fought against audits in Pennsylvania and elsewhere since the 2020 election which is curious if they were so certain of their victory in 2020.

This is HUGE NEWS for Pennsylvania and for free and fair elections.

Via The Amistad Project:

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania/December 23, 2021 – The Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania has ruled in favor of The Amistad Project and Fulton County, Pennsylvania, allowing the county to send its Dominion voting machines to the State Senate for inspection on January 10.

“The court recognized that it was improper to demand that the county – which owns the machines, and has the responsibility of running the election along with the legislature – can’t determine whether the machines worked properly,” said Phill Kline, director of The Amistad Project. “As the judge noted, there’s no justification for preventing the county from looking at their own machines.”

Pennsylvania’s attorney general and secretary of state had sued to prevent the inspection, which was originally scheduled for December 22, but the judge determined that it must be allowed to proceed, with a short delay to allow experts from both sides to come up with a formal protocol for the inspection.

“Executive branch officials were trying to stop the inspection altogether, but the judge did not grant their emergency motion to stop the inspection,” explained Amistad Project attorney Tom King. “They did not go to court seeking a delay; they sought to stop it, and they lost.”

Russia Fines Google With Record $100 Million For Allowing Banned Content

Russia has dramatically escalated its long-running battle with Google after repeatedly accusing it and other major US-based internet platforms of ignoring Russian laws on obscenity as well as propaganda, with on Friday a Moscow court slapping an unprecedented fine of almost $100 million on Google.

The content under dispute which state media regulator Roskomnadzor has demanded the removal of includes pornographic material, as well as posts that reportedly promote drugs and suicide. Crucially the regulator and Kremlin officials have long charged Google with promoting politically subversive messaging with the intent to stir up protests in support of jailed dissident Alexei Navalny. Pro-Navalny protests groups were previously banned as "extremist" earlier in the year.

Essentially Russia has accused Silicon Valley-based internet companies of allowing themselves to be used as a hidden hand of US foreign policy inside Russia, also promoting controversial content like transgenderism among Russia's youth - which is also outlawed under recent legislation related to 'propagandizing' minors with sexually explicit and corrupting material.

While there's been prior instances of US social media companies being fined a handful of millions over the dispute before, this fine of 7.2 billion rubles, (or $98 million) is record-setting and clearly meant to send a resounding message and warning, but still a slap on the wrist compared to the total estimated $1.1 billion Google Russia earned in 2020.

Commenting on how the court arrived at this high figure, The Moscow Times notes that the Moscow magistrate’s court did so "under a legal clause that allows courts to impose between 5% and 10% of a company’s turnover, according to the state-run RIA Novosti news agency."

So far Google has said little, only telling AFP that "We'll study the court documents and then decide on next steps," according to its press office.

Rolling Blackouts Spread Across Europe Amid Energy Crisis

Europe's energy crisis worsened this week when Kosovo introduced rolling blackouts to most of its two million citizens, according to Bloomberg.

On Thursday, the Kosovo Energy Distribution Services (KEDS) announced rolling two-hour power blackouts for 2 million people due to an "overload" of its electrical grid.

KEDS asked customers to reduce power given "insufficient internal generation to cover consumption and the global energy crisis."

The Balkan country, Europe's poorest nation, experienced a technical issue at its largest coal-fired power plant that had to shut down last month, which forced the government to import electricity at high prices.

Simultaneously, Serbia was forced to cut electricity to customers, Britain's network operator issued a power supply warning, and France's nuclear plant outage, all culminated into a perfect storm of straining the continent's grid, resulting in reduced power supplies and exorbitantly high prices.

Last week, Kosovo's economy minister, Artane Rizvanolli, said the shuttering of the nation's main coal-fired power plant had worsened the energy crisis. He said power imports were "extremely costly."

Grid data from Entso-E shows electricity imports from Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia plunged from 750 megawatts on Wednesday to about 469 megawatts on Thursday.

Jeremy Weir, CEO of commodities trader Trafigura Group, warned that more European countries could face rolling blackouts in the event of a severe winter.

Eleven European associations (from steel to fertilizers to cement to paper mills) published a memo Thursday indicating energy-intensive companies are paying "unbearably high energy prices" that may force them to shutter operations.

However, there is good news for the continent as benchmark Dutch front-month gas plunged as much as 43% from a peak of 180 euros per megawatt-hour to around 102 euros in the last several days as a flotilla of US liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers is headed to the fuel-starved continent.
