Multiple Airlines Cancel Hundreds of Flights on Christmas Eve, Citing Omicron Surge

Multiple airlines across the United States canceled hundreds of flights on Christmas eve, citing a nationwide surge in Omicron cases which has directly impacted employees and flight crew.

The cancellations come as more than 109 million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more via airplanes and other forms of transportation to visit friends and family over the festive period.

That figure is an almost 34 percent increase from 2020, with 27.7 million more people traveling than last year, bringing the number of people traveling during the season to pre-pandemic levels, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA).

According to Flight Aware, which provides real-time flight tracking data, United Airlines canceled 150 flights on Friday while Delta canceled 99.

A spokesperson from United Airlines told ABC News that the nationwide spike in Omicron cases this week has directly impacted flight crew and employees.

“As a result, we’ve unfortunately had to cancel some flights and are notifying impacted customers in advance of them coming to the airport,” United said in a statement. “We’re sorry for the disruption and are working hard to rebook as many people as possible and get them on their way for the holidays,” the airline added.

United Airlines spokesperson Joshua Freed told The New York Times that flights could potentially be canceled on Christmas Day.

“We are really managing this day by day,” Freed told the Times. “There may be some more flight cancellations for Saturday. It’s possible.”

Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines told ABC that it had canceled around 90 flights on Friday, just one day before Christmas.

The airline said in a statement that the “flight cancellations are due to a combination of issues, including but not limited to, potential inclement weather in some areas and the impact of the Omicron variant.”

“Delta teams have exhausted all options and resources—including rerouting and substitutions of aircraft and crews to cover scheduled flying—before canceling around 90 flights for Friday,” Delta said. “We apologize to our customers for the delay in their holiday travel plans. Delta people are working hard to get them to where they need to be as quickly and as safely as possible on the next available flight.”

12 Governments Limiting Christmas Festivities over Coronavirus … Again

The governments of at least 12 countries worldwide have vowed to impose various restrictions on Christmas or New Year’s festivities in an effort to curb Chinese coronavirus transmission over the winter holiday season.

The mandates include limits on the number of people allowed to gather in public or private, bans on dancing and alcohol sales, and vaccination or testing requirements for public and private get-togethers or domestic travel. Some countries have canceled public celebrations of either Christmas or New Year’s (or both). Read on to learn which governments have ordered a crackdown on merriment and togetherness this yuletide.

Malaysia

“Mass New Year gatherings will be banned and those attending private New Year and Christmas celebrations must undergo COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] self-tests,” Malaysian Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced on December 16.

Czech Republic

The Czech Republic’s government declared a 30-day state of emergency on November 26 over the Chinese coronavirus. The edict banned the operation of all Christmas markets across the country and prohibited people from drinking alcohol in public places. Bars, restaurants, discotheques, nightclubs, and casinos nationwide must close by 10:00 p.m. under the state of emergency order.

Scotland

Scotland’s government has banned all large-scale New Year celebrations in the country on December 31, 2021.

Scotland First Minister Nicola Ferguson Sturgeon announced a series of social gathering restrictions for all of Scotland on December 21 that will take effect starting on December 27. Sturgeon said her administration’s “official advice for Christmas Day remains unchanged, with people allowed to meet with family but urged to be cautious,” the U.K.’s Daily Mail reported.

“But from December 26 for three weeks there will be attendance limits placed on live public events which will torpedo Hogmanay [Scottish New Year] festivities,” the newspaper reported.

Canada

The government of Canada’s Ontario province reintroduced social gathering limits for an indefinite amount of time starting on December 19. The edict included a ban on dancing and singing in the province — except for “workers or performers” — and a prohibition on the sale of alcohol after 10:00 p.m. Ontario Premier Doug Ford reduced the number of people allowed to gather socially both indoors (from 25 to 10) and outdoors (from 100 to 25).

“Omicron will not take a holiday,” Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health Kieran Moore told reporters on December 17 when announcing the new restrictions. He referred to the latest known variant of the Chinese coronavirus, which has swept across the globe since it was first detected in southern Africa in mid-November.

Nearly 800 Migrants Aboard NGO ‘Taxi’ Ships Awaiting European Port Access

Around 800 migrants aboard three different NGO migrant “taxi” transports are currently awaiting European port access after being picked up in the Mediterranean Sea.

An estimated 788 migrants are reported to be aboard the three vessels belonging to three NGOs, with 458 aboard the Geo Barents, which is operated by Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières), 216 aboard Sea-Eye’s Sea-Eye-4, and 114 on SOS Mediterranee’s ship Ocean Viking.

The NGOs have been waiting for several days to be granted port access by Italy, with Sea-Eye stating earlier in the week that a small number of migrants have already been taken into care by Italian authorities due to their poor health.

“Some of them have been at sea for a week. The EU doesn’t even remember its values at Christmas time,” the NGO alleged, claiming that “many adults and children are sick, injured and suffering tremendously. Why are you making these people wait?”

NGO migrant transports seldom if ever take migrants to African ports much closer to where they pick their passengers up than Europe.

The situation with the NGOs comes as migrants continue to land in boats on the small Italian island of Lampedusa, with 340 people arriving within a 24-hour period on Thursday.

The migrants on the boats are said to mainly originate from Africa, although some Bangladeshi nationals have also been identified among them.

Until last week, Lampedusa had seen a brief pause in migrant landings but, within a 48-hour period, around 500 migrants inundated the island, which is located between Tunisia and the larger Italian island of Sicily. At least one migrant, a woman who had travelled with her 14-year-old son, was found dead aboard one of the boats.

The activities of migrant taxi NGOs, which have dropped off thousands of migrants in Italy this year, have been criticised by many politicians in Italy, as well as abroad.

French presidential candidate and leader of the populist National Rally (RN) party Marine Le Pen linked the NGO activity to people-trafficking and modern slavery earlier this year.

“The trafficking of human beings organised by smugglers in the Mediterranean and encouraged under the guise of misguided humanism by NGOs funded by the European Union is part of this modern slavery,” Ms Le Pen declared.

“Slavery, as it was practised, was recognised as a crime against humanity. Its modern form and the resulting economic human trafficking is an abomination,” she added.

Agents Find 6-Year-Old Migrant Caring for 1-Year-Old at Border

Border Patrol agents found a six-year-old unaccompanied migrant child safeguarding her one-year-old cousin on the bank of the Rio Grande. In a scene all too common this year, five total unaccompanied children were apprehended on Thursday morning near Del Rio, Texas.

Early in the day, agents located the six-year-old with her one-year-old cousin mixed into a group of 25 other unrelated migrants moving away from the river bottom. The unaccompanied children were in possession of handwritten notes showing phone numbers of relatives in the U.S. One had a copy of a birth certificate. One was age five.

As the morning progressed, agents intercepted a group of five additional migrants and discovered two were unaccompanied. Two siblings aged nine and seven were identified by their birth certificates and carried contact information for relatives.

The five children in the groups were all Honduran nationals and will be processed for transfer to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Once family members or sponsors in the United States are located, the children will be released.

The HHS released more than 5,000 unaccompanied migrant children to U.S. sponsors in November 2021. As of Wednesday, 12,613 were in federal custody and awaiting similar transfers.

According to HHS, nearly 400 unaccompanied migrant children were arrested and placed into CBP custody daily during the most recent 30-day period. The Border Patrol apprehended more than 140,000 unaccompanied migrant children in Fiscal Year 2021.

HHS estimates the cost to detain a child is $775 per day. In other long-term facilities, they indicate that cost to be approximately $275 per day. Based on these estimates and the number of UACs currently in custody, the cost to the American taxpayer stands at more than $3.4 million daily.

Illinois Rep. Schakowsky Contracts Coronavirus: I’m ‘Vaccinated and Received the Booster’

Illinois Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) revealed on Wednesday that she has contracted the Chinese coronavirus despite being vaccinated and boosted. Schakowsky said she is experiencing a fever and feeling generally “ill.”

“As I mentioned in my weekly video, my husband Bob tested positive for COVID Friday. Yesterday I was having a bit of fever and feeling ill. After several negative tests in the days before, I tested positive for COVID last night. We are both vaccinated and received the booster,” she revealed on social media.

“We got tested when we felt something was off, and now we can prevent exposure to our family and loved ones. I implore you to do the same before holiday gatherings this week and next. Get tested if you feel sick or have been around someone who tests positive,” she said, echoing the calls of the Biden administration, which is pushing mass testing around the holiday season.

Like others who have contracted the virus despite wearing masks and getting the vaccine and booster shot, Schakowsky used the opportunity to urge Americans to get the jab and continue to wear a mask for their protection.

Jared Kushner's global investment firm, Affinity Partners, has raised more than $3 billion in committed funding from international investors, according to a report.

Kushner, 40, a former top aide to then-President Donald Trump who is married to Ivanka Trump, formed the Miami-based firm last summer after deciding to step away from politics and began raising money in the fall.

Kushner plans to invest in American and Israeli companies that are looking for international expansion opportunities in India, Africa, the Middle East and other parts of Asia.

The move raised eyebrows among ethics experts, given his rapid transition from advising the White House and liaising with world leaders to seeking investments from them for his own firm.

The New Jersey-born scion of a wealthy real estate developing family, Kushner worked for the family firm, with his best-known acquisition being 666 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, which he bought for $1.8 billion in 2007.

The building became a financial millstone when the recession hit soon after. After multiple attempts to sell the building, Brookfield Properties acquired their 99-year lease for $1.3 billion in 2018.

He was also the owner and publisher of The New York Observer for a decade, until his father-in-law became president.

Kushner's firm has received commitments of more than $3 billion, a source told Reuters, adding that he expects to continue fund-raising efforts for the next few months to close these and add potential additional commitments.

Information on specific investors was not disclosed, but Affinity was targeting American institutions and foreign investment institutions, including sovereign wealth funds and high net worth individuals.

During his marathon annual year-end press conference Q&A, which this year lasted about four hours, Russian President Vladimir Putin once again vowed to defend Russian society against the intrusion of the corrupted values of the West, in particular blasting the "gender obscurantism" pushed by the United States and Europe.

"I am a proponent of the traditional approach that a woman is a woman and a man is a man," Putin laid out, which it goes without saying also reflects basic Biology 101 and humans' self-understanding for thousands upon thousands of years. He continued in the remarks on gender: "A mother is a mother, a father is a father. And I hope that our society has the internal moral protection dictated by the traditional religious denominations of the Russian Federation."

Throughout the remarks he called it basic "common sense" - which strongly suggested that the opposite is currently the rule of the day in America and the West generally, where people fear being "canceled" in their jobs and during public discourse if they don't confirm to concepts of 'gender fluidity' and Frankenstein reassignment surgeries, which is even increasingly being pushed on children.

Putin was responding to a question form a journalist over recent gender controversies in the West, and also the way it has impacted women's sports.

"And we learned to treat each other with respect. And what does it mean? That also means treating the foundations of our traditional spiritual culture with respect. All the peoples of the Russian Federation, I would like to stress, all of them have a certain internal moral protection against this obscurantism that you’ve just mentioned," the Russian leader said.

"If somebody thinks that a woman and a man are the same thing, they’re welcome to [their opinion], but a certain common sense should exist."

Holding up his country's traditional values as the "antidote" to the "new ethics", he also seemed to allude to the "spiritual values" of the Russian Orthodox Church, which has long been dominant in Russian society.

Five Planned Parenthood CEOs Make Over $500K: Report

Planned Parenthood seems to be perennially whining about the amount of taxpayer dollars it receives, but the nation’s largest abortion provider pays several of its CEOs handsome salaries of more than half a million dollars, according to a new report.

Five Planned Parenthood CEOs, who run local affiliates, make upwards of $500,000 a year, according to a December report by the American Life League.

The highest-paid Planned Parenthood CEO is Darrah DiGiorgio Johnson, who pulls in a salary of $616,926 to head Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, the report notes.

The other CEOs who make more than half a million dollars are Stacy Cross of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, Ken Lambrecht of Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, Sarah Stoesz of Planned Parenthood North Central States, and Ruth-Ellen Blodgett of Planned Parenthood of the Mid-Hudson Valley, the report says.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the president’s medical advisor, is the nation’s highest-paid federal employee, making $437,000 a year. Even so, there are nine Planned Parenthood CEOs who make more than Fauci.

The average salary of a Planned Parenthood CEO is more than $300,000. Planned Parenthood pays all of its affiliate CEOs a total of nearly $16 million, according to the report.

Top executives make even more money.

Leana Wen, who was Planned Parenthood’s top CEO until 2019, had a salary of more than $1.2 million during her brief stint at the organization, the report said.

Wen briefly led Planned Parenthood for eight months in 2018 and 2019 before she was ousted over philosophical differences. She had tried to steer the nation’s largest abortion provider away from politics and placing too much emphasis on abortion, but some on Planned Parenthood’s board of directors disagreed with that approach.

Dawn Laguens had a salary of more than $1.1 million in her role as a senior advisor for Planned Parenthood, the report said.

“One glaring thing that stuck out for me was the fact that killing babies and harming women from adolescence onward appears to be extremely lucrative,” said American Life League President Judie Brown.

“Clearly, it is time Congress removed Planned Parenthood’s ‘charitable organization’ status and ended the forcing of all American citizens to fund this organization,” the American Life League said at the end of its report.

Planned Parenthood is awarded $618 million from the federal government each year, but that has not stopped it from griping that the organization should be awarded more.

Air Force denies 2,100 vaccine exemption requests

The Air Force said Wednesday it has denied about 2,100 requests to avoid the COVID-19 vaccine for considerations of military readiness.

The Air Force has received more than 10,000 requests from across what it calls the “total force”- active-duty personnel, National Guard and Reserve — for exemptions from having to take the COVID-19 vaccine as an accommodation of religious beliefs.

Of that number, more than 2,000 have been denied “due to military readiness considerations,” the Air Force said.

No religious accommodations have been approved yet, said Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek. More than 8,630 requests for an exemption are still awaiting a ruling.

“We are not breaking down data at the installation level,” Stefanek said Thursday when asked if the Air Force will release numbers on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base personnel. “We are only releasing aggregate data at the Department of the Air Force level.”

Wright-Patterson has about 32,000 military and civilian employees.

“Each commander determines if the accommodation can be made without adversely impacting military readiness based on the health and safety of the unit and member, unit cohesion, and good order and discipline,” the Air Force said in a statement Wednesday.

If the commander determines the accommodation cannot be made without adversely affecting any of those factors, he or she will deny the religious accommodation request, even if a request is seen as sincere.

At that point, a service member may appeal the denial to the Air Force surgeon general.

“Each member’s request is carefully considered to balance the government’s compelling interest in mission accomplishment with the service member’s sincerely held belief,” said Under Secretary of the Air Force Gina Ortiz Jones.

To date, more than 95% of total force airmen and guardsmen have been vaccinated, the service said.

The deadline for active duty airmen and guardsmen to be vaccinated was Nov. 2, while Air Force Reserve airmen had until Dec. 2 to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The deadline for Air National Guard members was extended to Dec. 31.

“Service members who continue to refuse to obey a lawful order to receive the COVID-19 vaccine after their exemption request/final appeal has been denied or retirement/separation has not been approved will be subject to initiation of administrative discharge proceedings,” the Air Force said.

The Department of the Air Force does not distinguish Air Force and Space Force data separately. By far, most of its members belong to the Air Force.

WARSAW — The head of Poland’s ruling party Jaroslaw Kaczynski said on Friday that Germany was trying to turn the European Union into a federal “German Fourth Reich.”

Speaking to the far-right Polish daily GPC, the poweful head of the Law and Justice (PiS) party said some countries “are not enthusiastic at the prospect of a German Fourth Reich being built on the basis of the EU.”

“If we Poles agreed with this kind of modern-day submission we would be degraded in different ways,” said Kaczynski, who is also a deputy prime minister.

He added that the EU’s Court of Justice was being used as an “instrument” for federalist ideas.

Poland has been involved in a lengthy stand-off with the European Union, particularly over the judicial reforms that PiS has pushed through since 2015.

In the latest twist, the EU this week said it was launching legal action against Poland for ignoring EU law and undermining judicial independence.

Brussels is already withholding approval of coronavirus recovery funds for Poland over the row.

EU economy commissioner Paolo Gentiloni said the infringement proceedings targeted Poland for breaching the primacy of EU law and for deciding that certain articles of EU treaties were incompatible with Polish laws.

Marine who criticized Afghan withdrawal, called for accountability discharged

Former Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr. said he has been officially released from the Marines following a special court-martial

Former Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr. announced that he has been discharged from the Marine Corps, approximately four months after his criticism of the Afghanistan withdrawal went viral.

In a lengthy Facebook post on Thursday, Scheller recapped what he went through after posting videos on social media in August criticizing the Afghan exit, including a letter of reprimand, special court-martial, detention, and a fine. Still, as he returns to civilian life he remains thankful for what his military experience provided.

"I was released from the Marine Corps today, Thursday, December 23rd, 2021. I am filled with mixed emotions. I would like to sincerely thank the Marine Corps for forging me into a man," Scheller said. "And from the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank all the Marines who served, led, bled, and suffered alongside me the past 17 years."

The now-former Marine said he received a general discharge under honorable conditions, which is lower than an honorable discharge.

Scheller recalled that since August he has been "relieved of command" and "slandered as homicidal/suicidal by the USMC’s public affairs team," in addition to being imprisoned for days "under the false pretense of 'flight risk,'" and had his medical records and details of the investigation into him leaked to media.

The firestorm began Aug. 26 when Scheller, dressed in uniform, posted a video on social media slamming military brass for an ISIS-K suicide bombing at Kabul airport that left 13 service members and at least 169 Afghan civilians dead.

"I’m not saying we’ve got to be in Afghanistan forever, but I am saying: Did any of you throw your rank on the table and say, ‘Hey, it’s a bad idea to evacuate Bagram Airfield, a strategic airbase, before we evacuate everyone?’" said Scheller. "Did anyone do that? And when you didn’t think to do that, did anyone raise their hand and say, ‘We completely messed this up?'"

Police open criminal probe into U.K. vaccine rollout after medical dissenter's legal challenge

One of the issues White's legal team reported to the police is the government mandate that all NHS staff must be fully vaccinated by April 1. White calls this "blackmail" to force his colleagues "to take the vaccine or lose their jobs."

White reached notoriety back in February when he was suspended by the NHS for posting a video on Twitter which was very critical of NHS reliance on the not-fully-tested vaccines instead of using effective therapeutics such as ivermectin.

The video went viral, attracting over a million views, even though Twitter took it down after just three days — but it also led to White getting suspended from the NHS. A successful Crowdfunder campaign enabled him to successfully appeal that decision.

On Dec. 3, the U.K. High Court revoked White's suspension and interim gag order and found that the General Medical Council had breached his human rights.

Just two weeks later, on Dec. 17, White and his legal team applied for undertakings from the U.K.'s Medical and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to withdraw the COVID vaccines within seven days. If they don't comply, PJH Law intends to apply for a "High Court injunction without further notice" to force them to do so, White's lawyers announced.

The MHRA is a British Government agency that regulates medicines, medical devices, and blood components to ensure their safety and effectiveness. White believes it has failed miserably regarding the COVID vaccines.

"These injections are unsafe, still in clinical trial, and should be withdrawn immediately," attorney Philip Hyland wrote on behalf of White and two others to the chair of the MHRA in a summary of evidence prepared for an injunction application.

Syrian Army Troops & Government Supporters Continue To Strangle US Forces In Al-Hasakah

Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops and civilian government supporters continue to restrict the movements of US-led coalition forces in Syria’s northeastern region.

On December 23, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported that SAA troops and government supporters had confronted a US-led coalition convoy, consisting of four armored vehicles, on a checkpoint in the town of Khuaylid in the eastern countryside of al-Hasakah. The convoy was eventually forced to retreat.

A few hours later, the Syrian state TV reported that government supporters had intercepted a convoy of the US-led coalition that attempted to enter the town of As-Salamu Alaykum in the northern al-Hasakah countryside. The convoy retreated after failing to pass through the town.

The convoy intercepted near Khuaylid may be the same one that was intercepted a few hours later in As-Salamu Alaykum.

In the last few weeks, the SAA and government supporters tightened their grip on key roads in the countryside of al-Hasakah. As a result, US-led coalition forces failed to complete a number of missions.

On December 20, SAA troops intercepted a convoy of the US-led coalition that attempted to pass through the town of Tell al-Dahab in the northern countryside of al-Hasakah.

The recent movements of SAA troops and government supporters appear to be a response to the US-led coalition’s recent attempts to expand its operations in northeastern Syria under the pretext of fighting ISIS.

NHL Withdraws from China's Genocide Olympics. Will More Follow?

As some sports leagues embarrass themselves with actions antithetical to American values, the National Hockey League followed the right path earlier this week.

Professional hockey, which planned to pause their season for three weeks in early 2022 to accommodate players traveling to Communist China, made a bold decision by announcing this week the league will not compete in the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics.

Some hockey fans may be disappointed, but they’re likely sentient enough to know it’s the right move.

The “Genocide and State-Sanctioned Kidnapping Games,” as they should be called, should of course have no American presence.

A noxious country that spits on human rights, places ethnic minorities in concentration camps, and is a political enemy of the United States and the West should not be honored; it should be condemned.

The protocol Beijing has in place is also troubling. If an Olympic athlete tests positive for coronavirus, the player has to quarantine in China for three to five weeks. Being stuck in an authoritarian country thousands of miles from home for a month does not seem safe or appealing.

The NHL needs those three weeks to complete some of the postponed games. And on the business side, ticket sales from those games, as well as food, beverage, merchandise, and television revenue, need to be recouped from losses caused by the China virus. The league has already postponed 50 games this season.

Unless you’re Nike, LeBron James, or Google, you understand that rogue regimes don’t deserve respect from the rest of the world.

Lest we forget, despite what the vacuous vice president believes, China is responsible for a global pandemic that’s killed more than five million people.

Regardless of the ultimate rationale, actions like this from the NHL, women’s tennis, and the state of Florida are welcome. We have about five weeks to see if others follow.

“Super Immunity”: Pandemic collapses into self-parody

The Covid19 “vaccines” don’t work. They’ve admitted it, and now they’re seriously trying to tell us it’s actually a good thing.

What “working” really means when your pandemic is nothing but wave after wave of meaningless positive tests and weasel-worded changes to the meaning of “cause of death”, is a different discussion for another time.

Indeed, whether they were ever meant to work, what they are actually for and why the establishment needs to push them so hard, are interesting questions for a future article.

For now, let us confine ourselves to Big Pharma’s stated intention: The “vaccines” are allegedly meant to stop the spread of “Covid19”. They don’t do it.

The “vaccines” are not even true vaccines by the traditional definition. People who have been “vaccinated” still get infected, and can still spread the infection to other people.

Such infections are called “breakthrough cases”, and their existence has run a familiar course in the media.

First they didn’t exist, then they did exist but they were rare, then they weren’t that rare but they were mild…and now they’re not just mild, they’re actually a good thing…because of “super immunity”.

That’s right, getting sick after being vaccinated might actually be good for you, according to a recent study, currently getting wall-to-wall coverage in the press.

Apparently a team of researchers studying the blood of people who had breakthrough infections found that [our emphasis]:

One. Thousand. Percent. That’s a lot of percents. Like, ten times the usual amount of percents. Mightily impressive sciencey-sounding numbers.

So, it turns out, if you get the double-jab, but still get sick anyway, that’s not a sign you’ve just been conned into taking an experimental gene therapy that doesn’t do what it claims to do.

It’s not an indication that the entire narrative is just a construction built on assigning a new name to standard cold and flu symptoms via a faulty test.

And it definitely doesn’t mean the vaccines don’t work…it means they super-duper-mega work, and you’re basically invulnerable.

…unless a new variant comes along, in which case get a booster. Or two. Because while 1000% immune might sound like a lot…wouldn’t 2000% immune be even better?

In less than twelve months we’ve actually circled all the way around from “the vaccine’s work” to “the vaccine’s don’t work…and that’s a good thing”.
