Only problem is nobody has shown that a BUK missile shot down the plane. In fact a photo of the smoke rising from the crash site, showing a wide angle view from near Saur Tomb hill, did not show any BUK contrail whatsoever.
It is exceedingly odd that so very few BUK fragments were found and those only IN THE WRECKAGE days after the crash site was uncontrolled and tramped over by many people, Could easily have been planted, And the damage to fuselage panels is not the kind caused by a BUK.
So it is very suspicious that they put so much evidence into tracking some tiny bit of evidence to a Russian source, when they have not yet succeeded in showing evidence that any BUK was involved at all.
The theory with the strongest evidence is that a Ukrainian MIG-29 jet shot an Israeli air-to-air missile and followed up by canon fire at the cockpit area to make sure the pilots were dead.
