I watched American Satan. It was written/directed by Ash Avildsen (Sumerian Records/Sumerian Films) is the estranged son of John Avildsen who was the original director of Serpico and Saturday Night Fever before he was fired for disputes with Martin Bregman and Robert Stigwood. John Avildsen directed Rocky, Rocky V, and The Karate Kid I-III
The Relentless start out by dropping out of college and heading off to Hollywood. Johnny Faust, the lead singer is dating a girl named Gretchen.
When they get to Hollywood they meet a man named Gabriel who offers Johnny an apple. The devil (Mr. Capricorn) appears in a Hollywood tour bus and quotes John 7:24
>Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
They meet the rest of their band from England. They're brought together by Ricky who is played by John Bradley (Samwell Tarly from GoT). They are living in a van and need to find a bass player. They pick Lily. The devil meets them again and tells them they need to perform a human sacrifice. They pick Lily's ex-boyfriend Damien (Drake Bell) as the victim because Lily claimed that he raped her. They are going to torch him in a van but Johnny let's him go and he runs up an electric fence and kills himself. The devil claims the sacrifice is a success.
During their meeting with the devil, he claims that he controls all the pop stars including Jay-Z and Kanye. He points out all the dollar bill conspiracy stuff and Johnny connects the NWO with the Illuminati. After they sacrifice Damien, they're offered a record deal from Akkadian records and record American Satan. They go on tour and are introduced to Hawk (Goldberg) who will be the tour manager.
While in Topeka the band are met by a Westboro Baptist church expy. Hawk tells them that it's free publicity. It's a bit reminiscent of when Dave Grohl sang at the Westboro Baptist church. The band goes into the only bar in the town and one of the patrons makes a racist remark and Johnny ends up killing him. He's let off scott free because it was declared self-defense. Soon after, many of the fans of the band begin violently retaliating against their bullies.
To celebrate their success, Lily takes them to the place she use to work at. It's a BDSM club (picture 3).
>What's with the painting of the Baphomet?
>This is where the elite come to play. The occult stuff is just part of the theme.
Ricky OD's on coke while Lily convinces Johnny to shoot up and has sex with him. Gretchen calls him and Lily swipes his phone to end the call but ends up filming the two having sex. Gretchen sees the video and breaks up with Johnny.
The band starts touring worldwide and the devil appears again and talks about The Beatles and Aliester Crowley. He says the first price of Apple computer was $666 and the first three digits in Topeka's zipcode are 666. He says that Johnny has to perform the final ritual which is killing a mentally ill fan on stage. The night of the concert the devil shows up with Johnny's mom and she says that she and "Sam El" are dating. Lily shows up strung out and goes to the bathroom. Johnny follows her and the devil appears. He tells Johnny that the person his mom was fucking and he was fucking was the same person.
The mentally unstable fan turns out to be Gabriel. The curtains open and the devil has a gun on Johnny. Johnny takes the gun and is going to shoot himself in the head but instead he shoots the devil (Reverse Dimebag Daryl?). He ends up going to jail and refusing council.
Gretchen shows up with Damien's dad who is a powerful entertainment lawyer. Gretchen tells Johnny it's two against one now, indicating the lawyer is the Devil's new disguise and that she will stay with Johnny and help him fight the darkness.
