The long and short of it is: We have forgotten how to be Americans. We have allowed our "Elected Employees" in government dictate how they "Represent" us without accountability or oversight. We have forgotten how to be passionate about the freedoms we have, and that We must continually fight for these freedoms instead of becoming apathetic sheep. Many folks I know, know of the corruption and fucked-uppedness of Government, they have forgotten that They/We have the power to demand and enforce change. We have become lazy allowing Government to do for us, instead of what is best for us. I'm sure there is more to it than this, but I believe this is at the root of it.
