Accused cannibal charged with eating Grindr date’s genitals due in court

The man accused of slitting his victim’s throat, hanging him from his basement ceiling and eating his testicles in a grisly Christmas Eve murder will return to court early next year.

Mark Latunski allegedly confessed to the disturbing 2019 killing of 25-year-old hairstylist Kevin Bacon, who he met on the dating app Grindr.

Bacon was found hanging naked by his ankles from the ceiling in Latunski’s home in Bennington Township, Michigan, on December 28.

He allegedly cut off a part of Bacon’s genitals and ate, according to court documents, which is how his parents learned about the details of their son’s murder.

“Evil does exist and it touched us,” Bacon’s dad Karl Bacon told the Associated Press in a January 2020 interview.

“It’s gut-wrenching to hear the details and we’re beside ourselves.

It appears Bacon knew Latunski had a violent sexual fetish, according to court documents.

Health companies gave generously to President Trump’s inauguration

Drugmaker Pfizer gave $1 million to help finance the inauguration, according to documents filed with the U.S. Federal Election Commission. Amgen, another pharmaceutical company, donated $500,000. Health insurers Anthem, Centene and Aetna all gave six-figure contributions.

They joined a surge of corporate donors from multiple industries to break inauguration-finance records even as then-President-elect Donald Trump promised to “drain the swamp” of Washington influence-peddling.

UK Mulls Door-To-Door Vaccination Squads

The UK is considering a plan to send door-to-door vaccinations squads to the homes of unvaccinated Britons in an effort to reach an estimated five million people who haven't taken the jab, according to the Daily Mail.

The initiative has been discussed by the Department of Health, NHS England and No. 10 over the past week as part of a nationwide drive to send vaccine teams into areas which have the lowest vaccination rates - and are floating it as an alternative to lockdowns and other restrictions, as well as a solution to 'encourage' vaccination in rural areas or households where people cannot easily travel to a vax center.

"I think anything that encourages the vaccine-hesitant is sensible," said one Cabinet Minister, who then warned: "The mood in the country is hardening against people who refuse to be vaccinated."

In other words, get vaxxed despite the fact that Omicron laughs at the vaccine, and hardly anyone has died of it.

This comes as SAGE warned the UK is about to be hit by a large wave of Covid hospitalisations and the peak could be even higher than last winter despite the reduced severity of Omicron.

In minutes from a meeting on December 23 published last night, the Government's Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies warned that the peak on hospital admissions 'may be comparable to or higher than previous peaks' – including the second wave in January.

First doses jumped in the 18-24 year-old age bracket by 85%, and 71% in 25 to 30-year-olds - which Health Secretary Sajid Javid called 'excellent.'
