I couldn't make any sense of some names being put in square brackets, aka [Killbox], like e.g. [Ed], who seems to be a decent fellow.

Until I stumbled across Markdown syntax, which is used by GitHub:

Square brackets are used to create Task Lists:

[x] - for a checked/complete item

[ ] - for an unchecked/incomplete item

This probably means that whoever appears in these square brackets doesn't necessarily be a targeted bad actor?

As long as a name appears within the brackets,

may simply indicate a Task List Item.

'Target' has a negative connotation, like [JFK], doesn't make much sense.

Sometimes square brackets are empty, which I struggled to understand.
