Sarah Palin on Trans Athletes: ‘He Is a Dude’ Beating Women’s Swimming Records

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview last week that transgender University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas “is a dude” who is beating women’s swimming records.

“How many people do you think actually support that?” Palin asked Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona.

“The issue with the swimmer — that dude who’s swimming, and he is a dude — he’s beating women by 40, 50 seconds,” Palin continued. “And you don’t see that in swimming. It’s so obvious.”

“Doesn’t it make you wonder who okays this kind of stuff? Because normal people don’t, they don’t support this,” she added. “I think more and more people are saying this is ridiculous, this is a joke. And no, we’re not going to just sit back and shut up and let it happen.”

Palin also urged conservatives to get more involved in culture and politics in order to make a change.

“There are more of us than there are of them,” she said. “Common sense, constitutional conservatives, we’re busy raising kids, raising families, running businesses, so not super engaged in that arena.”

‘The Risk Of Suicide’: CBS Journalist Rips COVID Policies Impact On Teens

CBS News reporter Jan Crawford told the network that “the crushing impact” of overly strict COVID-19 lockdowns on children, including a massively elevated “risk of suicide” among teenagers, is “the greatest underreported story of the past year.”

“My kids hear me rant about this every day, so I might as well tell you guys: It’s the crushing impact that our COVID policies have had on young kids and children [who are] by far the least serious risk for serious illness,” said Crawford on Sunday’s “Face The Nation.”

“You know, a healthy teenager has a one in a million chance of getting and dying from COVID, which is way lower than dying in a car wreck on a road trip, but they have suffered and sacrificed the most — especially kids in underrepresented at-risk communities. And now we have the Surgeon General saying there’s a mental health crisis among our kids. The risk of suicide attempts among girls now up 51% this year, [and] black kids [are] nearly twice as likely as white kids to die by suicide,” she said.

Suicide rates among all young people aged 12-17 began to rise by May 2020, the third month of the nation’s COVID-19 lockdowns, “especially girls,” according to the CDC. “During February 21–March 20, 2021, suspected suicide attempt ED visits were 50.6% higher among girls aged 12–17 years than during the same period in 2019.” Suicides continued to rise, 39.1% higher in the early months of 2021 than in 2020.

Crawford cited “school closures, lockdowns, [and] cancellation of sports” as driving the mental health crisis among young people. “You couldn’t even go on a playground in the D.C. area without cops … shooing the kids off — tremendous negative impact on kids, and it’s been an afterthought. It’s hurt their dreams, their future learning, loss, risk of abuse, their mental health.”

Many of those who died by suicide had been viewed as popular and well-adjusted. As The Daily Wire previously reported:

Spencer Smith, a sophomore at Brunswick High School, felt increasingly isolated as a result of distance learning. He had dreams of playing lineman on the Brunswick High School football team, but those hopes were dashed when it was replaced by flag football.

“I just lost a son because he couldn’t be with his friends,” Spencer’s mother, Angela, wrote on Facebook. “He was trapped in the house. He felt like he lost his friends and had a hard time with his school work.”

Apple bans shoppers from all NYC stores as COVID cases soar

Apple has temporarily closed all of its New York City stores to in-person shoppers as coronavirus cases soar in the Big Apple.

Apple’s massive Fifth Avenue flagship — as well as its Grand Central, SoHo and World Trade Center stores and smaller outlets across the five boroughs — are all closed to shoppers, according to the iPhone maker’s site.

Customers can still pick up online orders at the stores.

Locations in Westchester County, Long Island, New Jersey and upstate New York remain open for in-person shopping.

The closures come as the Omicron variant spreads rapidly in New York, forcing thousands of workers to call out sick.

Amid coronavirus-related worker shortages, Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday cut the isolation guidance for some fully vaccinated workers who test positive for COVID-19 from 10 days to five days.

Apple typically closes a store when 10 percent of its employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to Bloomberg.

Last week, Apple shuttered stores in Florida, Georgia, Texas, New Hampshire and Canada as coronavirus cases rose.

Apple spokesman Nick Leahy did not respond to a request for details on the company’s New York City store closures but said the company does its best to protect employees.

“We regularly monitor conditions and we will adjust both our health measures and store services to support the wellbeing of customers and employees,” Leahy told The Post. “We remain committed to a comprehensive approach for our teams that combines regular testing with daily health checks, employee and customer masking, deep cleaning and paid sick leave.”

On Monday, New York City reported a near-record of 17,343 new coronavirus cases. The city’s hospitalization rate has more than doubled over the past week as hospitals see a surge of patients infected with the omicron variant, Mayor Bill de Blasio said.

Oracle Supercomputer: COVID-19 ‘Highly Adapted’ for Human (Not Bat or Pangolin) Infection.

The stunning revelations from a new book shed more light on the man-made origins of COVID-19.

Simulations conducted by Oracle supercomputing revealed COVID-19 to be “highly adapted” for human infection, discrediting the claim of the virus counting natural origins through a spillover event from wildlife to humans.

As revealed in Sharri Markson’s What Really Happened In Wuhan, Flinders University Professor and Research Director at Vaxine Dr. Nikolai Petrovsky used an Oracle supercomputer’s “in silico modeling” approach to identify COVID-19’s original host.

Proponents of the “natural origins” theory – including many Chinese Communist Party-compromised scientists – have attached significance to the virus’s host being a bat, arguing the animal transferred COVID-19 to a person at a wet market.

Petrovsky’s findings, which appear to identify humans as the original host of COVID-19, undercut the theory that the virus was transferred from animal to human but rather originated in humans independent of an animal.

To do so, Petrovsky’s team analyzed different ACE2 receptors, which allow coronaviruses to enter cells and reproduce, and spike proteins, which allow the virus to actually latch onto a human’s airway cells with the supercomputer.

“We were trying to find which species of lock the Covid-19 key was best designed to unlock. You can try and fit the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein structure shape into all of the ACE2 structures from different animals to see which one fits best, just like solving a jigsaw,” Petrovsky explained.

The group uploaded ACE2 genetic sequences from a variety of potential animal hosts including bats, mice, and civets and was able to run simulations by March 2020. As What Really Happened In Wuhan notes:

Very quickly, he had a result – and it was a result that caused him a great deal of angst. “Strangely, humans came out at the very top of the list.” Petrovsky pauses. “That was not what we were expecting, as the animal host from which the virus had been transmitted should have been at the top of the list. This presented a puzzle as the data suggested the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein had uniquely evolved to bind and infect cells expressing human ACE2. Normally with a new pandemic virus, whatever species that virus originally came from would be the best fit and the virus would initially only half fit the human lock but then mutate over time to try and become a better fit. A virus should not be able to evolve to be a perfect fit for a lock it has never seen, and yet this is what the data was telling us. The virus spike protein looked like it couldn’t have been better designed to fit the human ACE2. Go figure.”

China ramps up brutal ‘zero Covid’ lockdown with anyone seen driving JAILED as Omicron surges around the world

CHINA has ramped up its brutal "zero Covid" lockdown restrictions with anyone seen driving to be jailed after 162 cases were reported.

The city of Xi'an was raised to the "strictest" level in an effort to control the country's worst outbreak in 21 months.

It comes as a string of hugely positive studies show Omicron IS milder than other strains, with the first official UK report revealing the risk of hospitalisation is 50 to 70 per cent lower than with Delta.

Covid booster jabs protect against Omicron and offer the best chance to get through the pandemic, health officials have repeatedly said.

The Sun's Jabs Army campaign is helping get the vital extra vaccines in Brits' arms to ward off the need for any new restrictions.

Although no cases of the Omicron variant have yet been detected in Xi'an, the Chinese government remains on edge that any outbreak could threaten the Winter Olympics which is being held in February.

The latest announcement from the Communist Party stated that no vehicles would be allowed on the roads unless they were assisting with disease control work.

Health officials and police will "strictly inspect" vehicles on the roads and those who break the rules could face ten days in detention and a 500 yuan fine (£58).Although cases are small compared to the level of infections seen in Europe, the Chinese government ordered all residents to stay at home last Thursday.

Xi'an's 13 million locals are only allowed to leave their homes for essential travel.

Beijing ordered open spaces, buildings and roads to be disinfected after 150 new cases were reported on Sunday and 155 on Saturday.

Residents were given just a few hours' notice on Sunday afternoon that a deep-clan would begin at 6pm.

Pictures from the city show trucks spraying a fog of disinfectant throughout streets while other images show workers dressed in full PPE gear spraying chemicals onto buildings and public spaces.

Since the city went into lockdown last week, authorities have launched rounds of mass testing and have placed 30,000 people in hotel quarantine.

ZERO COVID STRATEGY

All non-essential businesses have been forced to close with every household only allowed to send one person out to buy necessities every three days.

China has stuck to a "zero Covid" strategy which includes tight border restrictions and lengthy quarantines as the country prepares for the Winter Olympics in February.

Two other cities in the same province, Shaanxi, reported a case that was linked to Xi'an.

Authorities urged migrant workers from the Xi'an not to travel home for the upcoming Chinese New Year.

The outbreak of the Delta variant has caused severe symptoms in four patients, the state-run paper, Global Times, reported.Elsewhere, the rising number of Omicron infections continues to skyrocket.

Today, Denmark and Iceland reported record daily coronavirus cases as the fast-spreading Omicron makes Europe the global hotspot for infections.

Europe recorded the most Covid-19 cases and deaths in the past seven days, according to official sources.

The five countries with the highest case rates over the last seven days were all European.

Abortion rights activists want men to get involved in the debate by getting vasectomies

With the Supreme Court expected to issue a landmark ruling next year that will determine the fate of abortion in America, some pro-choice activists are advocating vasectomies as a way for men to support abortion rights.

These activists say that men should be more involved in family planning and that going to the doctor to have the tubes that carry sperm to their semen snipped and sealed is an act of reproductive freedom that can relieve pressure on women to kill unwanted children before they're born.

Doctors who perform the male sterilization procedure told the Washington Post they've seen an increase in male patients seeking vasectomies in response to pro-life laws passed by Republican-majority legislatures in several states. In Texas, a fetal heartbeat law seeks to ban abortions after six weeks of pregnancy but has been blocked in court. A ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy in Mississippi is at the center of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the Supreme Court case challenging Roe v. Wade's precedent.

Koushik Shaw, a urologist at the Austin Urology Institute in Texas, said his practice saw about a 15% increase in scheduled vasectomies after Dec. 1, when oral arguments for Dobbs took place.

China Successfully Tests Satellite Able to Capture HQ Photos of US City in Less Than 1 Min - Report

Because attitude control devices can induce vibrations that blur pictures, most Earth observation satellites must be steady when capturing images. But the Chinese satellite managed to maintain image stability even by actively scouring and maneuvering in orbit in order to cover a larger area with one image than conventional satellites.

A small Chinese satellite captured photographs of a vast region around a US city in 42 seconds, which is said to be much faster than many conventional commercial satellites, and the photo taken turned out to be sharp enough to identify a vehicle on the street, the South China Morning Post reported on Monday.

According to the research cited in the report, Beijing-3, a small one-ton commercial satellite launched by China in June, completed an in-depth survey of the core area of the San Francisco Bay (3,800 square kilometers or 1,470 square miles).

The resulting photo had a resolution of 50 centimeters per pixel and was obtained from a height of 500 kilometers (310 miles). And according to the researchers, the satellite's performance test revealed that it could collect photographs while rotating at up to 10 degrees per second, a pace never seen before on a satellite, the research team reportedly wrote in an article published earlier this month in the Chinese journal Spacecraft Engineering.

"China started relatively late on agile satellite technology, but achieved a large number of breakthroughs in a short period of time," Yang Fang of the DFH Satellite Company, a lead researcher in the study, is quoted in the report as saying. "The level of our technology has reached a world leading position."

According to the research, Beijing-3 is regarded as the most agile satellite in terms of speed and could be one of the most powerful Earth observation satellites ever created, despite its tiny size and low cost.

The difference this satellite makes is seen when taking into account that a lower-orbiting satellite can usually see a straight, thin strip of land underneath it. To cover a region of interest, it must circle the Earth many times or collaborate with other satellites.

But according to the report, Beijing-3's agility allowed it to complete some observation tasks previously thought to be technically impossible, such as taking images of the winding, 6,300-kilometer-long Yangtze River between the Tibetan plateau and the East China Sea in just one fly-by from north to south over China.
