In the uk you have a common law right to prevent people coming onto your property.
You can legally recind their "implied right of access".
Postmen /delivery people /police etc are allowed onto your property under the implied right of access.
I did it for the BBC television licence goons to stop them knocking to check if i have a TV license . It lasts for two years and i renew it all the time.
