PGA of America & Trump Bedminster Statement

 

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida – December 28, 2021 – The PGA of America (“PGA”) and The Trump Organization today announce that they have reached a settlement resolving their ongoing dispute regarding the PGA’s decision to cancel its contract with Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey to host the 2022 PGA Championship.

 

While the terms of the settlement will remain confidential, representatives from both the PGA and the Trump Organization expressed satisfaction with the agreement.

 

The PGA of America issued the following statement: “The Trump Organization’s contribution to the golf community is appreciated. We are thankful the company employs hundreds of dedicated PGA Professionals and consistently gives back to the golf community through hosting charitable events and sponsoring junior golf programs. As stated in 2014 when announced, Trump Bedminster is a major championship-worthy golf course and in a portfolio along with some of the finest private and public golf courses anywhere in the world.”

 

Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, echoed this sentiment: “We have great respect for the work of the PGA. Biden re-election poll shows dismal 22% support; Harris even worse at 12%

The numbers are cringeworthy — 22% and 12%.

 

That’s the support for President Biden and his VP Kamala Harris in an I&I/TIPP poll that asked who would you vote for in the 2024 election. Even if you doubt the veracity of all this polling, these are poor numbers.

 

The only good news for Biden, the survey adds, is “no favorite has emerged among the large field of potential challengers to run against Biden in the 2024 primaries.”

 

But the sinking survey results are not out of the norm. A Wall Street Journal poll out Tuesday pegged Biden’s approval rating at a dismal 41%. Rasmussen had it at 42%.

 

Congress, however, was at 22% in the Journal poll, but that’s another story.

 

“It’s undeniable. Joe Biden is hurting in the polls right now and it’s due to a number of factors,” said Erin O’Brien, associate professor of political science at UMass Boston.

 

Those factors, she said, include the nagging pandemic, soaring inflation, lingering doubts about Biden’s foreign policy chops after the botched pullout from Kabul and lingering legislation.

 

The Journal adds that with Biden flatlining in the polls, he won’t be in a position to help Democrats fighting to keep their jobs in the midterms.

 

This comes as Democrats hold a slim majority in the House, where the split is 221-213, and in the Senate, at 50-50, but with Harris as the tiebreaker.

 

Support for former President Donald Trump remains strong among those loyal to him, so that also could be reflected in the polling that shows Biden needs to rebound or it will be too late to get much done in the second half of his tenure.

 

Now Biden faces a new challenge.

 

He held a video conference Tuesday with Russia’s Vladimir Putin over Russian troops heading toward the Ukrainian border.

 

Just hours before the call got underway, the Associated Press reported that Ukrainian officials charged Russia was continuing to escalate the crisis by sending tanks and snipers to war-torn eastern Ukraine to “provoke return fire.”

 

Republicans are watching to see how Biden fares, considering how poorly his administration handled withdrawal from Afghanistan.

 

It’s all showing in the polls, with the Journal adding 63% of voters said the country had gone off-track, with just 27% saying the nation was on the right course. Some 61% said the economy was headed in the wrong direction.

Biden reversed the most successful border security policy ever created

 

OPINION:

 

From its first days in power, the Biden administration has claimed the border crisis was created because they inherited a broken and dismantled immigration system. I have heard Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Alejandro Mayorkas all make this claim. They then added that it was due to climate change, violence and poverty. Most of these claims can be disproven by simply comparing the current situation to border operations during the Trump years.

 

Where was the climate change when illegal immigration was down to nearly a 40-year low under President Donald J. Trump? Where was the violence and poverty? Sadly, they were all there, but the Trump administration proved that you could still have a secure border despite these factors. It is also important to remember that climate change, violence and poverty are not legal justifications to claim asylum or make a credible fear claim as outlined in the federal laws explaining the asylum process. At least it wasn’t until the Biden administration changed it.

 

The talking point that they inherited a broken immigration system is just a distraction from what they are doing. The fact is that the Biden administration inherited the most secure border in my career. The data on arrests and asylum claims clearly show that.

 

If anyone is dismantling the immigration system, it is the Biden administration. While it systematically reversed the most successful border security policies ever created, it has been lying to the American people and projecting its failures onto its predecessors.

 

Within the first few days of taking office, Biden discontinued the Migrant Protection Protocol (MPP), better known as the Remain in Mexico program. He ended it even though it was the most successful border security program ever created and resulted in a significant decrease in illegal immigration. Even after officials from the Trump administration, including myself, consulted with his transition teams on multiple occasions about the risks of ending MPP along with the data that show it was a game-changer, Biden dismantled it anyway.

 

He also ended the Safe Third Country agreements the Trump administration had put in place with El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, the homelands of a majority of the illegal migrants entering the U.S. This policy was also effective at stemming unlawful immigration into the U.S. and helping to prevent thousands of fraudulent asylum claims. This policy made it possible for migrants who claimed to be fleeing fear and persecution from their home government to claim asylum in the first safe country they entered.

 

The Biden administration then dismantled the deportation process by placing a moratorium on all deportations. To end consequences for illegal behavior only brings more illegal behavior. The proof can be seen in the caravans and accelerated flow of migrants since Biden assumed office.

 

These are just some of the many effective border security policies this administration has ended. As I have said many times before, the border crisis isn’t because of mismanagement or incompetence. It is by design. This was and is the plan of this administration.

 

It will continue to dismantle our legal system to import who it believes will be future Democrat voters so it can have perpetual power. That is the plan. There is no other reason to strip the security of the most secure border ever. Cartels will make billions of dollars, more women will be sexually assaulted, more children will die, and more drugs will flow into the U.S. It is a sickening dereliction of duty by this president and his administration.

 

I have served six different presidents starting with Ronald Reagan. Even though I didn’t agree with all of them on matters of border security and illegal immigration, I respected them all because they were the president. Each had his own ideas on how to secure the border and how to address illegal immigration, but they all tried in some manner to do something to uphold our laws in some way.

 

However, we never had a president until now who would purposely make a border less secure, which has resulted in humanitarian, public safety, public health and national security crises. Lawsuits against these policies will continue, and I will not tire of doing what I can to assist in any lawsuit that helps to secure our border. Without a border, we are not a country.

Bill de Blasio has weeks to go as America’s worst mayor. He will be remembered as the Bolshevik who inherited a beautiful, safe, thriving city and turned it into a violent commie hellhole. In his mind, he has been successful because that’s what communists do.

 

I expect a $$$ book deal will be coming his way soon. Successful pinkos are given book deals, even when the publishers know that historically some liberals’ books don’t sell. That’s not the point; the point is to reward the commie for a job well done.

 

Rudy Giuliani took over New York City, a Democrat nightmare, when he defeated New York’s incumbent Mayor David Dinkins in 1993. Violent crime was out of control. I remember semi-nude prostitutes wandering the west side of Manhattan and in Kips Bay. Homeless “squeegee guys” blocked traffic. The streets were filthy.

 

Rudy and Police Chief William Bratton brought crime down and kept it down for eight years. Michael Bloomberg spent three terms keeping New York City secure and profitable for businesses. People felt safe. Then came Bill de Blasio.

FACT-O-RAMA! Comrade de Blasio won his first election with a near record-low turnout of 24% of voters showing up at the polls. He was re-elected four years later with only 23.88% of New Yorkers casting a vote.

 

In just eight years the communist de Blasio has gutted the once-great New York City. Violent crime is rampant again. Unchecked prostitution is back on the streets of the Big Apple. New Yorkers are afraid.

 

De Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo used the China Flu to let droves of criminals out of jail, even though fewer than 1% of COVID patients came from New York City’s jails. Last year saw record crime in New York City, and this year is proving to be even more violent.

De Blasio turned his back on the New York Police Department (NYPD) figuratively and they turned their backs on him literally. He later went on to defund the NYPD by $1 billion a year. This was after his health department wouldn’t give masks to cops in 2020.

 

Anti-Asian hate crimes, the long-time dirty secret of NYC bias attacks, have exploded under de Blasio. Homelessness has gotten so bad that even de Blasio admits he dropped the ball there. Penn Station, a travel hub for New Yorkers, has become a violent quasi homeless shelter.

Like a true commie, de Blasio did more than gut a wonderful city. He and his wife “misplaced” $850 million. Remember that commie leaders, unlike their peasants, live a life of luxury.

 

De Blasio was the first American pinko mayor to mandate vax passports for restaurants, gyms, live shows, etc. He forced city workers to get the jab or lose their jobs.

 

Here is the punchline: few people in New York City like him. He is as popular as the stomach flu in a hot tub. Yet he couldn’t just ride out the last month in office; he had to get one more totalitarian jab in before saying goodbye. Now, with less than a month left in his term, he is the first mayor in America to mandate vaccines for all private-sector workers.

 

Where does one go after gutting one of our premier cities? Forward! De Blasio is now running for governor of New York. He will compete against the current governor, Kathy Hochul, as well as Jumaane Williams and Letitia James, a veritable “Who’s That?” of New York Commie politics.

 

I love New York City, but they got what they voted for. Let’s see if the rest of the state has a death wish as well.
