there's only 2 ways to catch the cov

catch a cold, flu, strep throat or similar [mild] respiratory ailment then be exposed to someone with covid (doc/hosp waiting room increases odds)

get vaccinated then be exposed to someone with covid
other than that covid can not by itself infect you - it needs a separate vector.
that's why people with other issues going to hosp nearly always catch the cov
it's why they don't really like the vax-or-test entry rules and force change to vaxed-only (it only reinforces the unvaxed AREN'T getting it)
simple rules of thumb
if you catch flue/cold or similar don't go out - tell the boss your self isolating
avoid hospital emergency rooms unless you really really need it, take panadol and stay in bed, use superglue on that cut if it's not that bad.
