If Mr. Kim conveys that he did not say the things that were reported by [CNN] and others in the MSM and we find out that this was part of the DS operation, then POTUS is in the position of showing the American people that the DS is trying to propel us into war.

It gives him the moral authority to go after [CNN] and the C_A in a substantial way without being accused of violating some 1A rights.

He can go to the People and say: "Look, the Deep State and CNN tried to kill the deal. They lied about Mr. Kim's statements and they want your children to die in another foreign war. They want to kill the peace process."

Major moral high ground.
