Short version: Seattle Police are transporting people to the Hospital/Harborview
Longer Version:
I listed to SPD/SFD scanner at some point every day
I can not even believe what I have been hearing today
1st both SFD and SPD forced vaxed or termination
Both departments are severely understaffed!!
Seattle / western WA is in the middle of a snowstorm that began on Christmas, it just started snowing again
AMR[ambulance] is 1-2 hours out as the snow has impacted travel
SFD has to call in their own Aid cars for transport for BLS and they are already so understaffed [+30 vaxed FF's out last week due to + Covid]
They've got Medics on Ladder Trucks, entire companies offline…
So now SFD is, ok then, whatever, just fuck it.
They are not responding to a lot of calls unless Police go 1st and advise
They are also unable to transport or wait for an AMR
So, Seattle Police are transporting some BLS, mainly suicide attempts or minor injuries, to Harborview

DT proper…center of town, not Cap Hill etc
It was not too many years ago, but enough that I got out before it got bad, I felt safe going almost anywhere
