One can die fighting (while defending an innocent child about to be kidnapped, e.g.) and pass without carrying any baggage of what you speak. You may still die pure of heart.
I leave it to a biblefag to tell us whether Jesus ever spoke of pardonable violence against another to immediately stave off a much greater violence against the most innocent among us. But I could envision having a heart full of love as I die, while taking with me one about to do the greater violence.
No baggage if one acts out of love his final act.
