Wisdom of Buddha (c. 500 BC)!
Sometimes it seems like 'the truth' might only be found by thinking for yourself (?!) and connecting the dots of all the world's great spiritual teachings (?!). Seems like each 'school' seems to offer SOMETHING important (lost?) that the other doesn't, while each is in and of itself somewhat incomplete. Interesting that no other religion but the Abrahamic (c. 2000 BC) teach a critical truth of our earthly predicament. Seems like the wise Buddha forgot to mention anything about this:
"They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons; they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed tot he idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood." Psalm 106:37-38
